Mods: I think this belongs on here, but if not, please move it.
So, would anyone be interested in helping host a writing contest? It would be a contest that would always go on; much like Tuesday Challenges, I guess. Each time period (which could be from a week to two weeks), there will be a new prompt provided to write about. It would also include a certain word minimum and maximum. Some would introduce a challenge, with a limit of 200 words or a minimum of 3000 words, while others would have a simple 2500 word limit, with only a 100 word minimum. Basically, it could literally be anything.
There would be no set genre for what sort of stories you could enter. All entries would have to be published in the correct forum, then put into a form and posted on the main thread. At the end of the limit, the judges would read over the entries and discuss it over PM, then give out points and announce the scores from the order of most points to least points. The winner would have their story showed on the front page, with a small review, and would get a prize. The winner can get something like art, a story, etc. These would be given by a certain person who has volunteered to create prizes.
I would probably also include an "Affiliates" page to put other contests, collections, etc (such as the Contest Arcade and WFF One-Shot Library).
Would anyone be willing to join me in this? I've got a quick list of what I'd be needing below.
Judges Prize Givers (artists, writers, etc.) Mods (to keep the thread cleaned up from spam/deal with any issues/etc.) Help to make prompts. For coding, I have a layout I can already use.
So, would anyone be willing to help me out with creating this? Sorry about all the stuff you have to read up there. :I
