- The Lab we had when I was little, Bailey, chewed a chunk out of the drywall in the garage (the bare white tooth-scraped section is there to this day), and also attempted to eat our concrete steps (wasn't very successful.)
- We had fish for a couple years. The last one we had was a betta. We were going to go on vacation and could tell he was sick, not eating, etc, and were hoping that he wasn't going to die while in the care of our neighbor 'cause she'd feel like it was her fault, but he died the day before we left. Before him we had 3 goldfish. We had an aerating stone in the tank, which constantly made bubbles, and the fish loved to play in it: they'd swim down right above it and just let the bubbles float them to the top, over and over.
- One of my dogs that I had while growing up, Cooper, was a very vocal Brittany Spaniel. He'd always greet us with an "Aroo-roo!" whenever we'd walk up to him, go outside, etc. One of the most notable moments was when our other dog, Colby, returned from having run off: My dad said to Colby, "WHERE were you?", my mom said "Where WERE you?", and Cooper said, "Whaar-rer-ROO?" We also later discovered that he'd "roo" every time we opened the door, and would sometimes just open and close the door repeatedly for the fun of it.
- When Cooper and Colby got old, their vision got poorer. One day I was taking them for a walk and we could see the neighbor's garbage bin down the road and they just FREAKED, growling and hackles up and stuff, thinking it was some kind of creature.
- One of my parents' current dogs, another Brittany named Dusty, likes to run off, and he often brings the Lab, Otis, with him. One night when my mom was letting them out to do their business before bed, they just took off into the woods. My parents just could not find them at all and had to give up and go to bed, hoping that they'd turn up for breakfast. They weren't back in the morning. That afternoon when my dad got home, the dogs were locked up in the kennel. Turns out they'd shown up at the home of some of my sister's high school friends - five miles away through just woodlands basically (and they had encountered a porcupine on the way.) Oddly enough, my sister had come home to visit from college several days before and had stopped there for a while, so we wonder if maybe they'd followed her scent. Anyway, the friends' dad recognized the dogs, brought them home and left a note explaining what had happened.

My dog has eaten a battery, baby powder, a tape measurer, and lots of Saran Wrap. The only one he had problems with was the tape measurer
And I have a one-eyed cat
