Spottedleaf's Heart Theory

So I just thought this up and it probably doesn't make any sense but I figure, hey, why not share?
We know that in Twilight, Spottedleaf told Leafpool to follow her heart, right?
We also know that when Spottedleaf was apprenticed, there were already two medicine cats in ThunderClan. Until AVOS we haven't seen a situation where there are three medicine cats. So it could be that it's not something most cats think is a possibility.
What if Spottedleaf thought that since there were already two medicine cats it was her destiny to become a warrior even though she had a strong attraction to the position? She denies what she feels (her heart) because she figures if StarClan has already chosen two medicine cats to serve during the time she was an apprentice (As she was born there was already Goosefeather and Featherwhisker but if another little of kits were born with just Featherwhisker, it would've been more of a sign or something) so she's determined to ignore her calling and become a warrior because she doesn't believe that StarClan has chosen for her to be a medicine cat since there are already 'enough' in the Clan.
So she's determined to become the best warrior she can be. But in her heart, she knows she wants to be a medicine cat and ultimately StarClan might get involved over it because Spottedleaf's destiny IS to be a medicine cat.
And perhaps from that long ago is why ThunderClan now is okay with three medicine cats?
