I was on the bus to go home and after i got on it, some kid came up to the bus driver.. looked 14-15. He looked like those typical bullying kids, you know? just looked like an arrogant little jerk. Not sure what happened in the span of 1 minute but i'm pretty sure the kid didn't have his bus pass. Regulations are obvious, you don't let anyone on unless they have a bus pass or they can pay the fare, right??
Anyway, the kid seems angry, and ends up whipping a bunch of skittles at the driver before walking away. Driver proceeds to say "hey that's assault" and gets out to go after him. Driver comes back, looks like he gave up on the kid and just looks.. kinda defeated. And that just leaves me thinking; Why do people act so entitled? Like some bus drivers will let you on if you look like.. desperate, or just because they want to. But it shouldn't be something you expect. I'm not even sure how the kid got to the transfer station if, under the assumption, he didn't even have any way to pay for the fare. Still though, why act out on the people who will MORE THAN LIKELY provide you transportation again? Getting mad at bus drivers for this is so uncalled for, and I really dislike anyone who thinks they should disrespect a driver for something so petty. Like I KIND OF get if the bus driver is a rude driver, but it's still no reason to throw things at them for.
This bus driver was a really nice guy too. I'm pretty glad he didn't let that brat on tbh.

why skittles imagine throwing a bunch of skittles at a random person in the street like the abuse public sector workers put up with is bad enough without teens chucking confectionery at them

He was carrying them at the time. Honestly I've seen so many angry and upset people but actually getting physical with a driver is something else entirely.

i agree, that's really rude of him
most of my bus drivers are jerks and there's only like 2 or 3 that are actually nice
