Alice had not noticed that there was someone behind her until she felt the blade of a sword upon her shoulder and the voice of a man. She was shocked, and jumped a little in surprise. Unfortunately, that was very much so the wrong move for her. Alice had released the arrow to her horror, as she was afraid for her own life due to the sword on her shoulder, and watched it as it had soared through the air. Missing the two girls by about a foot or so in length. She stood frozen where she was, not moving, not wanting to draw attention to herself. Now that the arrow had gone, the man could have seen this as a test, he could think that she did so on purpouse. That was not what she wanted to do at all. If she knew he was coming she would have put the bow down, or maybe she would have fired the arrow properly and ran afterwards. Her eyes were locked onto the two girls, her neck held stiff, afraid of what she would see if she looked behind her.

"Yeah, that's a good idea." Wisteria agreed with Wisp. Right when she was about to get down and help look, an arrow plunged into the ground near them. She turned back and saw an intruder and one of the castle's guards, so she assumed they were out of danger now. "Seeing as no more arrows will threaten us, we can just use this." Wisteria said, brushing her light blue hair off her shoulder before picking up the arrow and sitting back down. She broke the arrowhead and part of the stick off so it was easier to hold and pushed it against her skin. She took in a deep breath and pushed it down along her arm, the sharp point tearing her skin in a long cut. Suddenly, she felt her arm start to have a numb, yet piercing pain and her vision blurred slightly. Poison. She was so careless! She should have checked first. "Echinacea root." She murmured, already running a list of herbs that have even the slightest properties of countering poison.

Sure) Cedric practices his fencing out in the courtyard. His strikes were precise and deadly. The dummy was looking worse for wear Damian was leaning against the wall, watching the 1st Prince practice his fencing. "Don't you think it would be more effective to practice with another person?" He asked, taking his leather belt off so he wouldn't be carrying his sword around. The guard picked up the extra sword-like weapon and pointing it outward toward Cedric. "It is a pleasure to duel you yet again, Damian." Cedric said with a bow. Damian had guarded him multiple times in the past and was one of Cedrics favorite people to duel. "There are no other swordsman of your calibor, in the kingdom. Now en guarde"

Cedric parried the guards attack and have him a chuckle, "You really are quite the swordsman, It is a great shame that you have such a deep disdain for orders and cooperation; otherwise, you could be one of the finest generals in our army." Cedric then took a feint swing at the guards legs and then a real lunge at his chest.

Archer stepped to move forward when she jumped and watched in horror as the arrow flew from the bow. His body stiffened when he realized Wisp was one of the herbalists out by the tree. Taking one swift step to the left he moved directly behind the woman and slide his blade up at an angle. His sword was now all the way across her neck. Archer looked down at her glancing to make her Wisp was okay. The arrow had missed. "Stand up" He said flatly in an almost exasperated tone. He hadn't expected the girl to shot, but since she also jumped at the same time. He wasn't sure if she fired accidentally or on purpose.
Wisp jumped as the arrow thumped loudly in front of them. At least it missed by a good foot or two. But she frowned a bit. Why would someone try to kill herbalists. She glanced up and looked at the guard, realizing it was Archer. She knew he'd be safe. Wisp turned her attention back to Wisteria. "Good idea!" She said brightly and waited for the other herbalist to break off the arrow tip. While waiting, she grabbed the Fire Pear juice vile and pulled the cork from the top. Wisp looked at the other herbalist in confusion as she muttered. She was still unaware of the poisoned arrow tip. "Echinacea root? Why would we need that? Do you think the juice might be poisonous?"

Alice flinched when blade move to her neck, the cold metal touching her skin. She closed her eyes for a brief moment, expecting the worst. However, she opened her eyes slowly when she was told to get up. Perhaps they were not going to kill her. Or maybe they just didn't want blood all over the grass. She didn't move from where she was sitting for a while, but eventually she stood up. Even though she did so very slowly, as if she was just waiting for him to kill her. One would think she is used to death threats, but she never has been. Alice held onto her bow however, not wanting to lose the only gift her parents got her just because it was not her birthday. Even then it was rare they even acknowledged that she was any older. Alice spoke quietly, "I-I swear...I just..." she wasn't sure where she was going with this, so Alice just shut her mouth again.

Archer watched the girl as she stood up. She was only a few years younger then him. Maybe. Unless she was older or younger then she looked. Being the unobservant male he was, he didn't take much notice of her nervous stature or uncertain look about her. She tried to shoot his sister. It made him angry. But he tried to keep his temper in check. "You swear what? That you didn't mean to shoot at them. Oh I'm sure you didn't mean to shoot at them. You meant to shoot them" Archer hissed and shifted, keeping his blade level with her neck. He slowly stepped around to the front of her, viewing her fully now. She was fairly attractive, but he wouldn't bother with that now. Perhaps later, but he might not. She did try to shoot his sister after all. "Why are you here? Who sent you?" Archer asked the questions in a dangerously calm tone.

Alice kept herself stiff, she wanted to shoot back a retort to what he had said but she decided it would not be appropriate at the time. Her breathing was very shallow, it would be hard to tell that she was even breathing at the moment. It didn't help either that the guard decided to step in front of her and talk to her. That would only make her more nervous. Her eyes darted around the garden, hoping that the other assassins had for some reason decided to send back up. However, she knew that was only wishful thinking. When he asked her the questions she did, she kept her voice quiet still, "I can't say." Was all she said. Revealing anything about the people she worked for could result in death depending on how much information she told or if it would be any use to anyone else. Alice was honestly afraid to speak, afraid he would maybe not kill her, but break her first before killing her. "I'm not obligated to speak about my objective." She told him, trying to sound more confident than she was.

Archer felt his irritation growing at her short responses. She tried to kill his sister. He wanted answers! The King would want answers anyways. Archer was a bit unsure of what to do. Perhaps intimidation would work. Or maybe getting her to relax? Archer was a bit confused but refused to let it show and quickly picked one of his options. "Your not obligated?" He asked, arching an eyebrow. He then lowered his voice, adding a deadly undertone. "The King likes his prisoners alive, but he doesn't necessary need them completely whole" Archer's hand drifted to his belt and he pulled out a neatly curved dagger. "Shall it be the fingers first? Or the toes?" He asked lowly, hoping he at least sounded intimidating.

Alice thought that she felt his hand relax on the sword but it appeared that he only did so to grab the dagger. Things were going wonderful today weren't they? If she survives from this it won't be long until she is killed by the others anyway. Unless she comes back with somebody's head. She closed her eyes again, not wanting to look at the blade he was holding. She had seen worse, but it was usually used as threats. He did not sound like he was full of empty threats however. She spoke what she was memorized to say, "Whichever you wish. I die first before saying a word." This was what she was trained to say for years upon years. They have put her through trials until it was stuck in her head that she can not try to bargain or crumble under pressure. She had to die first before telling another soul about what she was doing. This is why most people had a hard time locating assassins. All of the measures they take to keep their whereabouts secret were no laughing matter to them.

"T-The arrowhead." Wisteria managed through clenched teeth. She looked around. If only she had a belt or some long piece of fabric so she could stop most of the poison from spreading. - But even if she did, she could already feel herself going weak, her world was spinning and she knew she was near faint.
Instead of blocking either attack, Damian stepped swiftly to the side and out of the way of the attacks, but just barely dodging the hit to the chest. The guard quickly moved to the back of Prince Cedric and thrust the sword at his back, hoping that the Prince wouldn't have enough time to turn around and block the attack.
She watched, crouched on a tree of the surrounding forest that looked over the castle walls. There she was: Alice Taylor. She had worked with her once, but that was a long time ago. Cinder pulled two throwing knives from her pocket, each with a little red ribbon tied around the handle. She thre the first one with great accuracy toward the gaurd's hand that held the sword, then the second one aimed at his legs. Once they were thrown, she gently pushed off from the branch onto the next tree, then the next until she was just far away enough to barely make out the murmur of their voices. The ivory hood was still pulled up and shrouded her face so it couldn't be seen well, so she wasn't exactly worried if they had seen her or not. She worked both as a bandit and assassin, but she took more assassination jobs than bandit jobs simply because she found them to be more neat and clan-cut. She had just finished a job in the midst of the forest where a nobleman's house lay surrounded by a vary small town. She had killed the noble who was working as the lord of that place; it made her smile thinking of his body strewn on the floor, his head bent in an unatural way.

Archer's eyes narrowed at her answer. He didn't have the stomach to actually cut off her fingers and toes. That would be vile and disgusting. However, the whistle of blades soon took that out of the equation. Archer ducked and jumped to the side as one dagger flew for his hand and the other for his legs. Archer took a sharp step forward and swung himself behind the girl, sword blade to her neck once again. "Looks like you brought friends" He muttered, mostly to himself. But then he addressed the girl. "Move, backwards. Slowly" Archer said, taking steps backward and moving her with him. His eyes raked through the surrounding brush, looking for the owner of the blades.
(Hmmm, should he capture both of them so we can all still roleplay them together or ?? I just don't want Archer to b like 'K I'm taking Alice to prison' and then Cinder has no one to roleplay with. Ya'll got any ideas? I'm up for anything as long as Archer doesn't die xD)
Wisp nearly jumped out of her skin. "Poison!" She almost shouted. Wisp scrambled toward her satchel by the rock and rumaged through it. She pulled a long wrap of gauze out. "Poison counters...." She muttered to herself. All she had was Fire Pear juice and a Demition root. Demition would help counter the poison for now, but it was a weaker root, much weaker. Wisp leapt over to Wisteria, calmly as she began to work. She yanked out a long peice of gauze and tied it tightly far up her arm. That would momentarily stop the poison once it got there. Wisp quickly crushed the tiny Demition root and smeared some of it on the cut. She then offered the rest to Wisteria. "Eat it, quickly. It will help stop the poison"

Alice was about to say 'watch out' when the blades flew by but she knew that if the other assassin heard her they could report Alice. She kept her mouth shut and ducked before standing up and not finding herself in a better situation with the guard. Why did they decide to send back up today of all days when she was actually caught in the act? She wanted to roll her eyes and curse at whoever came for her but they would not have been able to hear her anyway. When he did move behind her with the sword she found herself almost apologizing, "I-I didn't ask for them to come, they came on their own accord..." This was all she could find herself capable to say at the moment. When the guard told her to move, she did not hesitate this time at all. She found her morals battling with her duty, why was this so hard? Why can't they just leave her alone? Everyone and anyone. She didn't want to be around people any longer, all of them seemed to have the wrong idea about who she was and it hurt her inside.

Cinder listened intently, hearing the soft words and footsteps. Them? Oh, Alice must mean the people she works for. Cinder almost never had the same client twice since she didn't like to stay in one place for long. She never joined any guilds or groups, she'd rather work with different people, mostly alone and she didn't like to run into people she knew, it was just more likely she'd be caught. Cinder almost always used different names and she wasn't sure if she had ever told Alice her real name or not. She almost laughed as a thought came to her: what if Alice still thought she was a boy? Cinder shook her head and scanned the area, pressing up against the tree as she noticed the guard with a sword at Alice's neck. Shoot. She wasn't able to get away, looks like I'll have to help her out a bit more. Cinder jumped from the tree, landing gently behind the guard boy, her long dagger in hand. She let it rest against his neck. She'd rather not kill him, but she would if she had to. (I'm fine with Cinder also getting caught, or Cinder and Alice could escape together. Your guys' choice)

"T-thanks Wisp." She managed, thanking her friend. They should really get to one of their offices in the Medical Wing. She pushed herself up from the rock, her vision blurring for a moment.

(OH! What if they both get away and Archer is assigned to follow them. So he is on orders of the king and like they find out he is following them and lead him on a wild goose-chase or whatever. Soemthing like that?)
Archer, this time, had noticed the female assassins hesitant in her words. She seemed to dislike the idea of another coming for her. But his moment of relaxation was his weakness and the cold feel of a blade on his neck made him stiffen. Archer muttered a colorful string of curses under his breath. How could he be so stupid!? They'd always been trained to look behind them first. Archer refused to look defeated and put a very smug expression on his face. "I'm afraid that won't work out for you. I'll cut her throat before you cut mine and those herbalists over there will waste no time in sending guards after you when I'm dead" He said coolly, but inside he felt the nag of anxiety. He didn't fancy dieing today.
Wisp gave a sharp and hurried nod. She opened her mouth to suggest going to the medical wing, but Wisteria already moved to her feet. Wisp bolted to her feet and wrapped an arm around Wisteria's shoulder to balance her. After grabbing her satchel, Wisp moved forward, "Come now. We've got to get you to the medical wing quickly. That Demition root won't last long against this strong of a poison" Wisp said in a motherly tone.

"Hate to disappoint, but those ladie's won't be doing much of anything if that poison stays in them." Cinder spoke before giving a small glance to Alice and returned her attention to the guard. "I don't particularly care what happens to her at this point, but you made me waste two very expensive throwing knives." It was mostly true. To help support her point, she pressed the long dagger harder against his neck, noting that it caught a piece of his skin and there was the tiniest drop of blood there now. Tsk.Now he's dirtying my favorite long dagger.
Wisteria hesitated for a moment then shook her head, putting some of her weight on Wisp as together they made their way to the Medical Wing. She wanted to go back for the elder herbs that she had set next to the rock, but she decided it wasn't that great of a time, seeing as she was poisoned and everything.

Archer almost shook his head, but couldn't as the blade was on his neck. So he settled for a chuckle. "In case you didn't notice, your friend here missed they both. By far I might add." Archer said, glancing toward the herbalists. That's when he noticed Wisp leading Wisteria. So he quickly added. "Even if she did. It was one arrow. And there are two of them, one dies and one goes for help. How fast do you think you can kill me and get them too?" He questioned, arching his eyebrow. Archer kept himself from flinching as the blade pressed closer to his skin, he was trained for pain like this. He didn't move as he felt a sting and then a warm trickle of blood slowly drift down his neck. Archer focused on the trees in front of him since he couldn't talk to the girl herself. He laughed. "If you don't care what happens to her then why are you here? If her life means nothing, why didn't you move to complete her goal and kill the herbalists, leaving her to me. But you are still here, threatening my life because I have a blade to her throat. I do believe I detect a lie." Archer said, choosing his words wisely. He was at a definite disadvantage. But there was no way he would back down or willingly allow the girl to escape. That would be treason. He was no traitor.
(So we wait for Whalez then?)

Wisp stopped at the large oaken doors and pounded on them. Finally they swung open and she was met by a servant who looked every pale at the sight of Wisteria. "Get me healers and herbs. Now" Wisp said quickly as she moved forward to lay Wisteria on an empty nearby cot.

Amira Longfeather - 18 - 1st Princess - Amira is a rather small girl, with long, wavy black hair that when put down lands on her waist. She has palish skin for most of the time, and her face is lightly freckled. She has bright green eyes and slightly pointed ears, as if she where an elf. In fact, when she was younger, and more naive, she pondered with the idea that she truly was part elf, her imagination being just a tad wild. She barely stands at 5'1'', in modern measurements, with a very petite physique in general, making it easy not to spot her if she where to be in a crowd and if she where not a royal. Despite her royal blood, she doesn't carry herself with a sense of entitlement, and, although hates being babied and attempts to do things on her own, and tries her best to be independent, she still shies away from crowds, only really being seen when it is expected of her. Has an affinity with animals and books- Family(optional)- the royal family - History(optional) N/A - Other she has two animals she truly considers pets- Salem: A small all black kitten with golden eyes, and Aspen- a pale, long-legged greyhound that is always following her around- SweetClover1
