Aspenpaw bounded into the forest, grinning as she came up to the boarder. "We're here you two!" She called out behind her, her dark brown tabby pelt blending into the shadows if it wasn't for her white mittens and underbelly.

Should Sootclaw and Acornpaw come across them? xD]]
Robinpaw padded up and stopped beside Aspenpaw. She didn't dare take another step closer, just in case a CedarClan patrol happened to come by she didn't want to get in trouble.
Pinepaw sniffed the air and padded right up to the border. "I don't see any of them," he murmured.

Sure lol)
Aspenpaw scented the boarder and frowned "it looks like they just passed us! Mouse dung.." she grumbled, turning to face the two.

Pinepaw seemed to deflate a bit. "Maybe if we wait a little while another patrol will come by?" he wondered aloud.

"Maybe.." Aspenpaw mewed before pricking her ears, swiveling them to the boarder "Someone's coming" She mewed to the two.

Sorry for the long poof, but I have to go! >_< ]]
BrackenClan Side:
"It sounds like they're in a hurry too," Robinpaw mewed, hearing the approaching steps getting faster. She instinctively jumped behind a large bush and peered through the leaves.
CedarClan Side:
The vole scrambled past the scent markers and was soon followed by a white and orange streak bursting through the undergrowth. It crawled down into another hole just over the border, and Acornpaw skidded to a halt. He looked around with wild eyes and his heart was still racing from the chase, not yet noticing the other apprentices.

AspenpaWe watched the newcomer with wide eyes as he busted out of the undergrowth chasing a vole. Her whiskers twitched with amusement, sitting down with her tail wrapped around her paws.

"Hello!" Pinepaw called over to the cat. He moved a few steps closer to the tom, his curling tail showing his curiosity.
Acornpaw attention jerked over to Pinepaw and he blinked, then noticing Aspenpaw also sitting nearby. The wild look was gone from his eyes as he sat down. "Oh, hello~" he replied. "Are you from BrackenClan?"

Green eyes sparkled with amusement as Aspenpaw studied the newcomer "We are. I assume you're from CedarClan?" She asked, her ear twitching slightly.

"Yeah, I'm Acornpaw," he replied, looking a bit excited as he sat opposite from the BrackenClan apprentices. "I've never met BrackenClan cats along the border like this before..."
"Same here, we were just talking about how we wanted to meet some CedarClan cats," Pinepaw said with a laugh. "Also, I'm Pinepaw."
"Robinpaw..." the she-cat mewed, shyly stepping out from behind the bush.

"I'm Aspenpaw! Nice to meet you" Aspenpaw chimed in, feeling excitement bubble in her stomach. She was meeting her first CedarClan cat and it felt amazing.

Acornpaw smiled, "Nice to meet you too. Were you guys on a patrol or something?" he asked. "I was just hunting. My prey got away again though, my mentor's gonna be upset..." he murmured, turning around as if expecting Sootclaw to appear any moment.
Pinepaw glanced at Robinpaw and Aspenpaw, not sure of what to tell the other apprentice. If they told him they'd snuck out, he might tell his clanmates and then Wolfspirit might hear about it at the next gathering...but then again, he could just be worrying too much.

Far away, Sootclaw let out a sneeze, scaring off his thrush. He scowled and sat down with a huff "Someone's talking about me.." he muttered, glaring at the place where his prey was at.
Aspenpaw's mind was whirling at the moment but she smiled charmingly at him "No, we were out collecting moss before we decided to check out the border on a whim. I'm glad we did though" She purred, her ear twitching at the duo she knew as if to tell them to go along with the sudden lie.

xD]]
Pinepaw nodded. "Yup, we're helping one of the warriors clean out the old nests in all the dens," he explained further.
"That sounds like a lot of work," Acornpaw commented, believing the apprentices without a second thought.
I gotta go, talk to you later!]]

Lol see you!)
"It's not my favorite thing to do but we're just replacing the moss stock. We used up the previous moss for new nests" Aspenpaw mewed smoothly, smiling at the two toms while glancing back at Robinpaw.

"I wonder if I'll get asked to do the same when I get back, my nest is getting kinda dry... I hope not though..." Acornpaw said with a sigh.
Pinepaw laughed. "Yeah, it's pretty tedious, and tiring," he meowed. "But I guess that's one of our jobs as apprentices."

Aspenpaw giggled at them and shook her head lightly "I think that the Warriors let us do the work because they don't want to" she mused, her whiskers twitching in amusement.

"I think so too, you never see cats doing stuff like that once they get to be warriors," Acornpaw agreed.
"Maybe it's supposed to be teaching us a lesson or something," Pinepaw suggested, the expression on his face showing he was deep in thought.

"What lesson is that though Pinepaw?" She asked, licking a paw before running it across her ear two to three times. "I can't think of one off the top of my head."

"Umm... maybe they're trying to teach us proper den cleanliness?" Pinepaw suggested, just naming the first thing off the top of his head.

"Proper.. Den cleansing? Acornpaw, that doesn't make sense to me. Does that make sense to you?" Aspenpaw asked, turning to face the CedarClan cat.

"Not really," Acornpaw said. He shook his head and let out a laugh before looking at the tom across the border. "Sorry Pinepaw."
Pinepaw just shrugged. "It's fine, it was just a wild guess really," he said.

Aspenpaw giggled and shook out her pelt "To me, it's just the Warriors being lazy" She mused, glancing up at the sky.

Pinepaw didn't answer. He held the warriors in such high esteem that he couldn't possibly picture any of them being lazy. (Guess he hasn't seen Rainsplash then lol)
"Oh! We have a question for you Acornpaw!" Robinpaw suddenly chirped, speaking uncharacteristically loud.
"What is it?" the white tom asked.
"Um, do you guys in CedarClan like trees a lot?"
"I think so... I haven't heard anyone say they don't like trees..."

Aspenpaw smiled at the fellow apprentices and spoke up as well "I knew it! So do you guys get a lot of outsiders in your clan?"

Acornpaw gave a slow nod, slightly distracted by a trail of ants by his paws. "Oh, yeah, a few rogues joined our clan a few days ago," he said.
