Why is it seems like that Hawkfrost's death was forgotten? RiverClan most confused that one of there warrior is death right out side of ThunderClan's territory. Whould that not cause some tension between ThunderClan and RiverClan?

you could probably wave it away as (between series) ThunderClan explaining that Hawkfrost tried to kill Firestar…except that their leader was Leopardstar
so…yeah, there probably should have been more hostility than there was
but Mistystar and Mothwing probably helped, considering Mistystar probably and Mothwing definitely didn't trust Hawkfrost

I just mean that Leopardstar probably didn't pursue vengeance for Hawkfrost because of Mistystar and Mothwing's influence--but it's still strange (to put it mildly) that it was just never spoken of again like…their deputy died and if they asked about it he was accused of taking a leader's life maybe if ThunderClan did a good job disposing of the body RiverClan never figured it out…? that doesn't really make any sense either, but it probably doesn't make any less sense than them just not caring |

I always wondered why this wasn't questioned but maybe it was, it just wasn't covered in the books and never eventuated into anything.

I think it is a plothole mostly. Erin probably never thought about how RiverClan would react.
Anyways, the fact that RiverClan and ThunderClan don't share borders at all might help too.

Yeah, I was confused about this as well. In the books, no one seems to know how Hawkfrost actually died except for Firestar, Squirrelflight, Leafpool, and of course Bramblestar. But in one of the plays, it's stated that everyone knows what happened.

I remember Firestar's telling them to do that or something right at the end of the last TNP book I think. I don't remember what that book is called The last book in TNP is Sunset, and Firestar never said that. In fact, his last line in the book is him assuring Leafpool that Brambleclaw saved his life. |

That's all I've found so far though Oh, that I definitely remember, so you're kind of right, it just wasn't ever stated that it was Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw who brought Hawkfrost's body back to RiverClan and lied to Leopardstar, but it also wouldn't somehow surprise me. This does contradict what was said in After Sunset: We Need To Talk, though. Granted, that play has other inconsistencies as well, but it was stated that the mystery behind Hawkfrost's death was known. |
