(I'M NOT DEAd)
The Zonerunner smiled at the other, shimmying off her black helmet and setting it on to her now parked bike. Seeing a patch of dust and sand that had collected on the side of the vehicle, where the black metal encased more metal underneath, she quickly knelt down and wiped it away. Words started to appear in messy white lettering, spelling out the words CHAOTIC VAMPIRE that violently contrasted the rest of the black bike. Happy with it now, she shook her head and stood back up. "Hello." She said, slipping her sunglasses on and looking the other Zonerunner up and down. "Chaotic Vampire." Vampire said, cocking her head at the other and pulling her bandanna up and over her nose.
"Sorry I stopped you," Vampire said, shrugging slightly. "Not many things happen out here to be honest. So many people spread out over a large space leaves many gaps." Now she was starting to ramble, and as soon as she caught herself she let out a laugh and shook her head. "But anyways, enough of me, how are the Zones treating you?" She asked, focusing her attention on the other instead of herself.
~~~
"Oh hello!" Leo said cheerily, all too used to random citizens walking up and introducing themselves to him. In Battery City, it was only normal and very useful to do things like that. Make acquaintances whenever you can, but it is discouraged to have friends. You have to focus solely on work and the betterment of yourself, and not have to worry about others, as they are taken care of, which Leo happily agreed with. Well, he agreed with anything and everything that came out the BLI's mouth, so, it wasn't too much a surprised that he believed that.
"Leo Shakren. I work on archives?" He said, just stating the fact about where he worked exactly. It was natural for him to say his name and then his occupation, as it was really just habit. And people did that a lot, and they both ended up bonding on some acquaintance-like level. So Leo just did it for that. "How are you today?" He asked, cocking his head at the other as he gripped Steve's hand with a good grip. (( you're alive!! i think i'm finally getting everything now and that comes along with fangirling at every response ))
Chaos cautiously examined the other Zonerunner as she began to wipe away the patch of dust and sand, taking off her blue helmet while doing so, before she read the white lettering, that read, ''Chaotic Vampire,'' a certainly interesting name, to be the least. She raised an eyebrow. ''The name's Corrupted Chaos, nice name you've got there.'' She complimented. Chaotic Vampire seemed to be neutral, perhaps a potential ally. She got off her sport bike. As she had always stuck alone, she was very, defensive, to say the least. She looked back at her bike. She wasn't sure if she should stick around Chaotic Vampire for much, she didn't do much socializing, even for a Zonerunner. The zones always felt so, empty to her, so dark, yet she loved it. The desert was her home, basically.
''Don't worry about it, Vampire? If I may call you that, anyways,'' she responded. ''True. It always feels abandoned, honestly, but it's home, and it's comforting to know there are other Zonerunners out there, eh?'' She nodded in agreement. ''The zones, they've not been so nice to me, to be exact, but hey, it isn't too bad, it could be worse. I could be stuck in~'' She paused for a second, refusing to mention Battery City. The BLI was the reason she was out here in the hot, scorching desert. They had to be taken down. But, she knew it would be difficult. She thought for a moment~ what was the point of being scattered? They all had the same goal, to take down the BLI. Why not unite into one, single group? She shook her head, thinking to herself. She could think about that later, for now, she was up for chatting with ''Chaotic Vampire.''
- - ''O, ho ho! Nice to make acquaintances with you, Mr. Leo Shakren! Oh! What a surprise, I work on archives as well!'' He replied. He never really did follow his father's footsteps. He could've become a great man had the great fires of 2012 and BLI come into the picture, but he didn't know that. All he knew is that he was in safe hands, or, well, so he thought. He thought that friends were just a waste of time! The BLI was his only friend! They were his saviors! His god! You had to focus on your happiness! Make yourself better! Work hard! The BLI was the only true source of truth, the people who rejected the great BLI and Battery City were absolutely insane, maniacs, psychopaths even! Why did they even risk it all? Risk a good life in Battery City for the life out in the desert! The zones! How they even survived was incredible to him!
''I am doing quite well, Mr. Shakren, what about you?'' He asked, cocking his head to one side in question, letting go of their handshake. ''Glad to make acquaintances with you, of course.'' He smiled brightly, it never even went away for him, it was just a habit. Smile, smile, smile. It was everywhere, on everyone's faces. It was the symbol of happiness, a positive attitude, and he simply just loved it all. He loved BLI, he loved Battery City. He was glad he was here.
Star Gravity noticed the two meeting figures that were previously following them before. She waved at Brit to get his attention. He nodded in response and pulled a U-turn, followed by Star. Sand from the road kicked up as she and Brit made their way over to the other Zonerunners stationed behind them. Star eased up on the engine and slowed to a stop, with Brit to her right. She tugged off her helmet, as both Zonerunners were and assumed she should do the same. "Ahem. Howdy there ladies or gentleman, which ever you may be." Star said with a sugary tone.
British Disaster snorted at his sister and studied the other two. Both were by no doubt female but one can hope. He removed his helmet and set it in his lap. Setting his chin on the top, he listened to the desert, knowing his sister will make any conversation ten million years long, especially with women, just to make him suffer. Both Zonerunners seemed to have their guard up and if he made the wrong move they'll probably ghost him to the spirit in the sky. Brit lightly traced the silvery lines on his helmet with a small grin dreaming of the cold dusk to come in hours. Days for what it seemed like.
"You may call me Vampire, Vamp, or hell even Chaotic if you want but that may clash with your-" Suddenly, Chaotic Vampire heard noises of speaking from behind her, and she whirled her head around to look at whoever was talking, her fingers darting over to the grip of her raygun just in case they had intentions of harm. She was definitely aware that the person standing in front of her could still very well be hostile, and dust her when she isn't looking, but oh well. Was going to happen sooner or later.
"Why hello there." It was one of the two from earlier, Vampire could see the other one near where they parked their bark, looking awfully bored. But Vampire kept her attention mostly focused on the one standing closest to herself. "Who might you be, Zonerunner?" She asked, raising a suspicious eyebrow at the things this Zonerunner had on her body. Of course, she's seen tattoos (she's come within feet of the one and only Fun Ghoul and seen how inked his skin is), but this gal had keychains and dog tags and the whole nine yards. But Vampire couldn't really say it was not normal, because every Zonerunner was different, and that was the thing about the Zones. Express yourself in the most outward way possible. Do whatever. Nobody really gives a [poop].
~~~
"You work archives?" Well well well. It is certainly a small world after all, wasn't it? "What sector? I work north sector's archives." Leo shamelessly said, a huge smile stretching from ear to shining ear gracing his lips with happiness and amusement at what was happening to the both of them at this moment. Now that he thought about it, this guy did look familiar. But alas, he couldn't put his finger on it, so he just chocked it up to seeing a flash of him at work or something along those lines. Maybe seeing him in a visit to another sector of Battery City if he didn't work the north sector. Honestly, Leo wasn't too sure at all really. But he just met the dude, so he couldn't really blame himself for this situation he had gotten in.
"Oh, I'm having a jolly good day." Leo replied happily, sending yet another smile to the other citizen. "I had the day off today, otherwise I'd be at work, obviously." He was kind of a reincarnation of Captain Obvious at times, but it was really who he was. He always pointing out the painfully obvious in the worst of times. "Oh!" He exclaimed, suddenly remembering something he had seen earlier that very same week. "Have you heard about the Fabulous Killjoys?" Well of course this guy did! His mind jeered, but Leo ignored it. Everyone knows about them, so he didn't wait for an answer before continuing onwards with what he was going to say. "I heard some rumors that they have been dormant for a while..." His voice dropped to a mere whisper as he leaned closer to the other guy, knowing that citizens weren't really allowed to talk about anyone outside of the Zones. It was kind of an unspoken rule, but quite the enforced one at that. "You know anything?" Of course, rumors could very well be just that, rumors, but they could have some truth to them. And the fact that the Killjoys weren't being covered in the daily post really added to the mystery that the BLI kept shrouded over the Zonerunners from the prying eyes of the citizens who wanted answers. Just to protect them, they had said, and with the way the Zonerunners mercilessly slaughter innocent Draculoids he could very well believe it.

She raised an eyebrow. ''Alrigh-'' she paused as she whipped around all of a sudden to hear a very, sweet voice talking to them. She quickly held her grip on her raygun. She looked over at Vampire, and back at the two. Heh, this day was getting crazier already, meeting new people. She had to say, she kind of liked it. Socializing, it made her feel good, for some odd reason. She loosened her grip on her raygun, though she kept her hand close to it in case she saw any suspicious movement she classified as ''dangerous.''
''Howdy, Zonerunners,'' she greeted, letting Vampire do most of the talking as she started observing them both. They seemed harmless, and that was belittling them, because there was the infamous quote, ''don't judge a book by it's cover.'' She put her hand over her eyes, trying to block the rays of the sun, and trying to ignore the scorching hot heat of the desert. Maybe these two could be other potential allies, who knew? All she knew is that she did not want any new enemies, her only enemy was the BLI, she didn't want to get into conflicts with other Zonerunners, with the same goal as her, of course.

Star Gravity did a toothy smile when she saw the defense go up on the bad girl looking one. "Ch-Brit, don't be rude." She said to her brother who went into his "I'm bored, get this over with or I'll shoot your little friends" face. He looked at her with a deadpanned face and sat up a bit more, but still with a slouch. "Sup." was all he said and went back to groveling in his anti-person bubble. "Um... I'm Star Gravity, this is C- British Disaster, my very angst brother." Star said with a sweet smile, she wanted to sugar coat her attitude to gain some information.
"Excuse you?" Brit perked up with a offended look. "I am simply ignoring them, don't test me women." He said sassily. He looked at the two other Zonerunners. "And who are you precious little princesses?" He said in a sour voice. Moving his chin back to the helmet and moving his finger tips a long the bikes gas meter.

''Your brother has a certainly, unique attitude,'' Corrupted Chaos spat. ''Are you completely implying that we are simply just ''princesses?'' Not ''bad?'' Because girls can be bad, and I can shove my raygun up your [bleep] if you'd like,'' she smiled brightly, getting straight to the point and not sugarcoating it at all. She turned to Star Gravity.
''I can tell you're not really that cheerful, no one is, these are the Zones, we're not happy-go-lucky all the time.'' She rolled her eyes. ''I can tell, Star Gravity. This is the scorching hot desert, we're dealing with the BLI here, tons of innocent people are being lost to the control of the BLI. Why would you be happy at such a time like this?'' She asked.

"Chaotic Vampire." Vampire said, letting out a chuckle at British Disaster's antics. They almost reflected her own once she got comfortable with someone, she got out of this calm, relaxed state of mind and body she was currently in and transforms into this sassy, loud, and firey girl who had one hell of a spitfire attitude she was oddly fond of. "Hello, nice to see new relatively new faces out here on the Zones." Means either they're from a different part of the desert, or they're completely new, or maybe Vampire just hasn't seen them yet. She was thinking the latter, to be honest.
"Oh, I won't test you, don't worry." Now the other side of her was starting to trickle in, the sass already making it's way to her voice. "You'll be ghosted before you'll get the grade." Now normally she had witty comebacks stored in her brain, but she knew this one was awful and she could feel the cringe already starting to build up inside the place. She shook her head, letting out a laugh as she looked over her sunglasses to get a better glimpse of the others standing in front of her. "You guys from anywhere?" She asked, knowing that was a good question to start off on. But her relaxed self quickly changed to a more worried tone as she noticed how Corrupted Chaos was talking, and she waved her hand at the girl and shook her head.
"Alright, calm down, we know the situation at hand. We've already got one too many enemies out here." Vampire said, pointing a thumb at the glistening white buildings of Battery City off in the distance. "Don't need the ones fighting for the same reason we do to turn against us." She noted, blinking slowly at Chaos.

''Yes, I suppose you're right,'' she said, gritting her teeth. ''Words aren't much, I guess.'' She looked at British Disaster, eyeing him. ''Don't let your tongue get out of hand anymore, alright? I don't hesitate to retaliate.'' She said, before she looked over at the white buildings of Battery City in the distance as well. She quickly turned away from them, looking back at the others. ''Civil is key, I guess.''

Star Gravity ignored her brother's rudeness and looked at the Zonerunner yet to say her name. "Well, stay positive and everything will be alright, that's what my mom always said so I'm listening to her." Star explained and smiled at Vampire. "Nice to meet you Chaotic Vampire. Mind me calling you V?" She asked and started twirling her raygun on her finger as a warning to both Zonerunners she'll shoot them if their mouths get any smarter.
Brit let out a small laugh at the sharp responses and his sisters reaction was still as protective as ever, even if it was subtle. "We're from Battery City, escaped a few weeks ago. Ya know I've heard rumors of some group called the killjoys, are you with them or what?" Brit asked, the two tougher than they look females peaked his interest. "'Course they are more known so I may be mistaken. You obviously don't look fabulous. Oh, and female zonerunner number two, I'd take the offer, but I'm not really into that." Brit finished with a wink, and a smirk perked up.
"True. She's talking to you chow head." Star said to Brit and threw a handful of sand at him. He let out a yelp and fell to the desert floor with a crash, luckily not with the bike down onto him. "First off, indeed she is talking about me, second, rude." He said flatly and shook off the sand while standing up.

''Don't call me ''female zonerunner number two,'' you're getting on my last nerve, kid~ plus, keep that dirty mouth of yours shut.'' she replied, trying to keep her cool, before letting out a small chuckle at the sight of seeing him fall flat on the sand. ''Hey, at least you know how to deal with him somehow,'' she gave a quick, small smile, a result of her before laughing. Interacting with other people wasn't so bad. ''No, we're not killjoys, and second of all, you don't look fabulous yourself, either, pal, to tell you the truth.'' She scoffed.
''At least your sister doesn't have a narrow head unlike you,'' she said, referencing that a narrow head implied less space for a brain.

"Call me whatever." Chaotic Vampire simply said, shrugging in response as she leaned against her bike. "And the killjoys? Am I a part of them?" Chaotic Vampire said, letting out a laugh. "Oh my! I wish!" She said, her voice full of dry humor as she laughed, peering at the other two over her sunglasses. "Those guys are the famous of the famous, damned of the damned, and... well whatever you want to describe them as. I've only ever got to meet them once, and that was during a skirmish between them and some Dracs. They're hella nice guys, but that Kobra Kid dude... he's adorable as hell but goddamn he can be terrifying." Vampire said shamelessly, scratching her feet as she looked down at British Disaster as he stood up.
"And congrats! You made it through your first few weeks of Zone life. How does it compare to Battery City?" She asked, already knowing the answer that may come out of their mouths, that can be summed up in one word (most of the time at least). Freedom. The enjoyment of freedom, the thrill of survival, and the first time you get blood on your hands from killing a Drac will always be burned into your memory forever. It's an exciting, thrilling, fast lifestyle only certain people were cut out for. And Vampire herself felt extremely lucky to be those few.

(morning princesses)
Brit scowled, "Do not say I am not fabulous, I will cut you b-" he was cut off my his sister who knew what would happen if she let him run wild with that mouth of his. "-cut bison because he respects your opinion and would like to offer you a treaty because he's no an a**hole." Star said viciously. "Of course I know how to deal with him, he's my idiot brother." Star explained to the other Zonerunner. "By the way, never caught your name, sweetheart." She said, pulling her smile into a small grin. "So these killjoys are pretty cool huh? Well, they are called fabulous, and probably not for nothin'." Star said, then looked at Vampire. "Well... Pretty rough, but... so... amazing. Like seeing the true colors of the sunsets when you only saw sunrises as example." Star said dreamily.
Brit still had the scowl on his face but changed that when his sister started to speak fondly of the first week out in the Zones. At first he had been so afraid that they'd die straight away, but feeling the wind while the sun burns your skin was a dream come true. They'd have met some Zonerunners before telling them the slang and who's who around there. It amazed him that there was so much more freedom than the "perfect" city they lived in. It made him realize that freedom is truely amazing, unorganized but so organized at the same time, and that's what The Zones were... free from perfection, order. He smiled as he thought of the first days here, starting to live in freedom.

Chaotic Vampire soon found herself laughing at their antics and what they got up to. They really reminded her of the legends about the brothers Kobra Kid and the Killjoy leader, Party Poison, and the deep bond they have shared with each other since they were only little kids. Legend has it that they work so fluently together that it's almost like they're the same person. Which is a rather strange thing to think about, because they look almost nothing alike. "This is Corrupted Chaos," Vampire said for the other Zonerunner, gesturing to Chaos as she spoke. "And the Killjoys are called fabulous because they really do live up to their title. I'm not joking. I swear to God everytime Party Poison blinks he gets pink glitter on his cheeks." Vampire mimicked pouring those sparkley glitter things on her own cheeks, knowing that probably made no sense at all. But really, until you've seen them, that statement made pretty much no sense.
"The roughness is worth it for the sheer freedom you feel from a perfect city like that." Her tone was dry, obviously putting sarcasm on the word 'perfect'. "I don't know how more people haven't been like us and one day just saw with their own eyes the lies pouring out of that damn BLI happy face logo and onto the streets were the citizens lay in a drugged state, ready to drink them all up. It's sickening." Vampire said, her grip tightening on her bike as she remembered that once upon a time, she was one of those citizens. She had believed that the BLI were her saviour, until one day she forgot to take her pills and suddenly saw everything in a new light. How she was being brainwashed to think things. And that was the day she escaped and made a life for herself in this here desert.

Oh my gosh I feel horrible. Sorry I couldn't post it this morning. I had to answer to this one rp and then I had to help people at my cat vending machine and then I have to watch my siblings and then I had to get on the store, but I'm here now. And one question, when it comes to names for battery city characters, do they have different names also?)

Star nodded to Corrupted and looked back at Vampire. "You've met them? Odd... Well, that's pretty cool. I mean they are well known, first thing one of the Zonerunners we met the first day told us about them right away. And I have a question... They didn't get too into the subject but who is Dr. Death Defying? Or whatever his name is. I know he does radio but for what purpose?" Star asked the onslaught of questions that have been burning on her mind for days. Those Zonerunners didn't cover a lot. She glanced at Brit who had a smile on his face. He was probably remembering them, they were very nice, never caught their names though. She perked up a little and let a smile grace her lips. "Indeed it is worth it. And that drug..." She shivered, her smile dropping to a black stare at the ground. Only one word popped into her head when she heard of the drug. Terrible. How terrible it was and what it did...
"They're sick for thinking that they can do that to people..." Brit said, disgusted. He looked at both Corrupted and Vampire and a thought popped into his head. "Ya know... Soloing can be pretty sketchy. We could all do with a pair of extra hands." He mumbled, turning his gaze past them both, to Star. He raised an eyebrow and gave her a look. "I mean... I guess. But, well, I don't thin-" Star started to say but was cut off. "Maybe they are. You never know." He said simply and looked back at the two Zonerunners before them.

''I agree,'' she responded. ''They're hungry for power, they feed on other people's innocence. The BLI is up to no good.'' She looked back, squinting her eyes to see the white and black Battery City. Living colorless? She- she didn't know about that. The color was beautiful, the sunrise, the sunset, and even in the desert, she loved it all. She never knew what she could do without color. Without hope, without compassion, without dreams, without her emotions. The BLI simply took it all away. They drained it. They used people to their own benefit. They were sickos, monsters-, and hell, she could use a lot more words to describe them, but she wouldn't go more in depth about that. All she knew is that she was lucky to not be stuck in Battery City.
''Are you suggesting what I think you're suggesting right now?'' She cocked her head to one side for a second. Yeah, they could all use a few pairs of extra hands. She looked down at the desert sand, before looking back up at Brit and Star. Hey, maybe it was a possibility. But, who knew? Maybe this could be an opportunity that takes her far and wide. New things to do.

(feign @blubberywhales here it is)
"You work archives?" Well well well.
Just to protect them, they had said, and with the way the Zonerunners mercilessly slaughter innocent Draculoids just trying to protect Battery City he could very well believe it. ''Ah ha ha! I work north sector's archives as well! I knew there was something similar about you! I remember seeing a glimpse of you at work every once and a while. And I do remember hearing the name Mr. Leo Shakren around every once in a while, well, it seems we already sort of made acquaintances before! Oh jolly jee! How great!'' He had a really creepy smile embedded on his face. It was kind of like he had two sides, a jolly one, and another one he was hiding. A bad one, to be firmly exact.
''Why, Mr. Shakren! I've certainly heard about the ''Fabulous,'' Killjoys!'' He laughed out loud, not even bothering to even keep his voice down. Though, when he heard Leo speak, he kept his voice down as well. ''Oh ho ho, quite a lot of rumors.'' He still kept his cheerful act up. ''Dormant? Don't you think there could be a little more, to, ''dormant?'' The BLI, our glorious god, has been after them for a while.'' He replied. Maybe they finally did it, maybe they were finally gone? But their god, their friend, their savior wouldn't lie to them, they wouldn't hide it from them, their victory. Then what could those Fabulous Killjoys be doing? Or where had they gone?

"Soloing is hard if you don't know how to do it properly and not get ghosted." Chaotic Vampire said, a smile forming on her lips as she caught on to what exactly they were alluding to. "But as someone who's been on the Zones longer than I'm guessing you guys have," She said, thinking she had been on this here desert for a good four or five years. "It's always good to have a somewhat veteran on the team so you'll know everything you need to know about these here Zones. So, I'll break my solo streak and join your guys' team. What is it called?" Vampire asked, eyebrows raising with interest at the subtle offer. She normally hopped between teams, not really joining them but being of help to new teams and being a somewhat valuable member to older ones. She often thought about creating her own, but so many people were a part of other teams she didn't really bother. Corrupted Chaos was one of the first solo rebels she's seen in a while.
"And first things first, Dr. Death Defying is a metalhead-looking guy in a wheelchair who does the radio broadcasts. In those radio broadcasts he announces news about new and ghosted rebels, recent skirmishes, and anything he can find out about any major uprisings and plots inside and out of Battery City." Vampire easily said, tapping her finger against the metal of her bike she was leaning on. "Last one he did was a couple days ago, he normally does one around every week. If not one every two weeks if news is slow." Vampire explained, pushing up her sunglasses and adjusting her hair as she spoke so easily. It was clear she knew a lot, and was not afraid to spill it all to newbies. "It will be likely that you will be featured at some point as new rebels, and that will get your name and your group's name out there." Vampire herself was once, she was listening in and heard her name and she almost died right then and there as a happy woman. She sighed, remembering that moment in time. It was good. "And elaborate on these other Zonerunners you've met, please. I think I might be able to recognize them."

Leo let out a deep laugh that kind of contrasted his lighter sounding voice. "Certainly is a small world after all, huh?" He said with yet another laugh, feeling giddy as he met someone from his occupation in Battery City. But this could be very helpful they could work together on the surprisingly tough job of archiving every citizen inside the walls of Battery City. "This is rather fantastic!" He said, enjoying the happy vibe he was getting from this otherwise stranger he didn't really know. But he couldn't think about that, because why? Everyone was to be trusted in Battery City. They all had one common goal, to live a peaceful and positive life under their saviours; the Better Living Industries. No one was angry, no one was killing anyone, there was no danger to be seen anywhere.
But there was no excitement.
His mind decided to jeer, and yet he covered it up with yet another laugh and a shaking of his head, and his voice dropped to a low whisper. "There could very well be more meaning to the word 'dormant' than it may seem." Leo said, getting more serious now. "Those guys are animals, unpredictable lunatics, who knows what then they'll do." Leo said, shaking his head once again as he thought of those 'rebels' as they liked to call themselves. They were absolutely insane, Leo knew it. "But I was just hearing that they have been surprisingly dormant for a while... but I don't know... only the BLI knows what'll happen next." As long as they don't come near Battery City he wasn't worried. Too much. The BLI will get rid of them someday, he knew it. The BLI would wipe them out and their inking to be 'free' and 'truly happy' with their lives. Leo almost wanted to laugh at them they were so ignorant. Battery City has everything you need, including an afterlife plan! What more could you ask for?

Not a whole lot compared to Vampire's over here, but enough to know how to survive out in the dreadful Zones. I've always been thinking of joining a team; we all have the same goal, right? Why not join one? And now, coming across you guys, I think this could be a great opportunity for all of us, we each have individual talents that can contribute to the team.'' Corrupted Chaos nodded. She always had been solo- though she had always wanted to be in a team, but she never came across very ''welcoming,'' Zonerunners, to be truthful, until now, and these people could become great allies, by the looks of it.
