It seems some people have a problem with this section of the forums, saying we are too rude and ridiculous among a few other things. I want to talk about this. Of course, this is just my perspective on this topic. People may disagree, and that's okay. I want to discuss this, and maybe even try solve it.
First of all, I realize this place can get a bit heated from time to time, especially when the Erins announce things we don't all agree with. However, this is nothing new and has been going on in the Warriors fandom for as long as I can remember. This happened on the old forums, and I'm sure it happens all over the internet.
But is that really being rude? People have a right to disagree with the ideas that the Erins put out. That does not mean we hate them as people, or that we hate the series. Despite all of the flaws in the series, I still love Warriors. I have been a fan for a long time, and I will continue to be for many more years. However, that is not going to stop me from voicing my concerns about certain issues.
I voice my concerns about this series because I care. I'll use my, "Are the Erins trying to ruin the series on purpose?" thread for example, since I was called out about this. This was not a bashing thread. I made it out of the concern that the Erins have stopped caring about the series, and have focused their priorities elsewhere, thus leaving them to say some things that don't really add up.
I'm concerned about this, because I don't want this series to drop back to the dark ages of Omen of the Stars. Dawn of the Clans is amazing, and so far A Vision of Shadows has been wonderful too. But when I see certain things being said, I can't help but get concerned because I want the best for these books, and I'm sure a lot of other people agree.
Yeah, I know we can take it over the top sometimes, and we can drag things out too much. But I don't think any of us mean harm by voicing our concerns for the books, or by joking around.
This is just something that is on my mind, and I want to talk about it.

After all, we are dealing with "the generation of the whiners" AKA, millennials. Kiddies complain about every single god damn thing. Kiddies also jump in bandwagons and hate trains just because it is cool to hate on cat books, it's the way these incompetent peasants get their daily dose of self esteem

I haven't noticed many problems on this forum. Sure, things get heated up, but it still doesn't seem to be too bad from what I can tell. Or at least not as bad as the old WCF anyway.

I've seen way worse elsewhere. The debates can get a little heated up at times, and there will always be some people that are jerks, but overall, the atmosphere on here is pretty friendly.

Well I wont deny Im the biggest a**hole on this forum, I think everyone knows that by now.
All jokes aside, I agree that some people shouldnt get triggered so easily (im talking about myself as well). So no this place is overall not rude, but sometimes we just get a heated discussion.

Sometimes I feel like people get a bit narrow minded when it comes to seeing/accepting other peoples opinions but overall this place seems really well behaved. Even compared to the original forum. People here apologize after events have happened and take it upon themselves to take a break from the site for a while to cool down which is a mature and honorable thing to do.

this whole site can be rude lmao there's no section where there are no rude people.
It's because this section was created with debates in mind that it's a breeding point for arguments. Same with OTD, if there's a chance to voice your mind, someone is going to be annoyed by what you have to say. The main issue with this part of the forums in particular seems to be that a lot of people don't realize you can be a fan of something but also be critical of it's short comings and failures, and take it very personally when people try to argue from a less popular point of view. I don't think this section is the worst on the forums by any means, but if you take disagreements very seriously then maybe this isn't the board for you.

With all this feedback, I wonder why outsiders looking in for the first time view this place differently than we do. I guess maybe it could be because we are all somewhat familiar with one another and we have the experience of the old forums? The old forums were always critical and people have always debated there, where the site I got the inspiration for this thread on isnt like that.

Generally if you think this forum has a lot of hate or negativity. You've clearly haven't been on the Internet for more than a month. I am someone who browses the dark side of Reddit, 9Gag, and 4chan occasionally. I also read the YouTube comments sections for fun. The toxicity on those makes people on these forums seem like saints

Also to mention, warriors doesn't even come close to some other series. Star Wars itself has broken many friendships just over a character. The Star Wars fandom has given so much hate to the point where the CREATOR of the series quit and said he didn't want to have anything to do with it anymore. I'm not talking about insulting him behind his back, I'm talking about personal insults, degrading, everything negative was tossed at him. Now THATS what I call a "mildly rude" fandom

There was one instance where an artist almost commutted suicide because people got angry at her for drawing Rose Quartz skinny Then one of the crewniverse members deleted her Twitter because people bashed her for liking a ship

Put it this way:
This place can get heated very easily. I find this happens when new, unsuspecting members show up and post something controversial. Aside from that, we're a relatively mature community. This is probably the best site for discussing Warriors. Sure, members can sometimes be hostile, and flame wars can turn nasty, but we're bearable.
In comparison to some fandoms, we're actually pretty tame.

yeah nah this place is nothing compared to plenty of other websites. certainly people get upset, and are rude here too, but the rules on these forums keep things from going overboard, or if they get overboard people will get banned or w/e. There's no stopping rude people, and even the "nice" people can be rude. It just depends on if they're obviously trying to be mean, or if you think what they said was mean, even if they weren't even trying to be, or if someone else doesn't see it as mean. There's no where I have been ever where someone hasn't been rude.
