I've got several book ideas I haven't gotten around to writing. Sadly, all of the interesting parts of my plots revolve around plot twists, and I feel so silly but can't just give SPOILERS.
People are like "what's the book about?" and I'm clutching my half finished novel to my chest, glancing around nervously. "Things. And stuff. And a little bit of other stuff, but mostly just things."

I have this fantasy book series I started writing a year or so ago, but lately I haven't been motivated enough to write.

A comic about mutated alley cats who have the names, personalities, and jobs as opera characters, and their verbal battle with normal cats as well as each other. Also involves magical flutes and magical beings and talking undead statues and a battle for an entire kingdom. It makes sense in context

I was doing NaNoWriMo last year, and about halfway through, I just got totally fatigued with the story I was writing. For whatever reason, I got super tired of it and started hating it with a passion. Because of this, I was averaging less than 100 words a day- obviously not enough to finish on time. Finally, I gave up, and while I kept the word count that I'd gotten from that story so far, I started another story, in which I just let my mind wander and write whatever it wanted. It involved an alternate future in which a solar flare struck Earth, crippling the majority of its technological mainframe. The nations of the world began to rebuild, only to discover an incurable supervirus working its way across Asia. The leading world power, Britain (IIRC, I wrote that US and Russia had destroyed each other in a nuclear war many years prior), combined a teleportation device their scientists had invented with data from their space program to teleport one chosen guy to random habitable planets out in the galaxy. He would then determine whether the planets were suitable for human civilization to move to. Once a "second Earth" was found, Britain would begin teleporting large chunks of the Earth's population to it using nonsensical sci-fi technology. Their chosen guy wound up on a planet filled with medieval-style kingdoms and ended up going on a quest to defeat the Dark Lord of the land. The book ended with the Dark Lord returning after his apparent death and taking back the kingdoms of the planet; panicking, the "astronaut" teleported to another random planet, which happened to be filled with sentient penguins. It sounds like a fever dream and a terrible story but it actually wound up somehow being one of the best pieces of writing I've ever produced. So now I plan to write the sequel next NaNoWriMo, and after that, who knows?
Jeez that was long. Soz.

Well it's hard to explain but it's about aliens.
I've got other ideas too, that's just the main one.

I just finished a book about cats trying their hardest to survive a (made up) virus and avoid a curse that had been placed on them for years. (Also a lot of other things are going on such as saving a few stolen cats, sibling rivalry, broken friendship, one cat's getting over anxiety, etc.) :3 I'm starting on the second one.

A (possible) comic about a righteous gang of city cats called the Freedom Fighters who are bent on saving the cats of the city from another organization of cats called Fleur de Lis or 'The Kingdom of Lilies'. They're the largest organization in the city (presumably NYC), and they have some sort of manipulation ability that is causing more cats to join their malicious ranks. Both sides have descended from large kingdoms/empires, which have almost been forgotten.
I'm still experimenting with the plot and characters, but most of them are developed.
The storyline is meant to be a bit dark, serious, and mature, with drama and a few deaths. Not your average cat story. But yeah. .3.'

A series of high fantasy novels. You? A rather long, complex series that takes place in our world, beginning around 2015/16 ish. It takes place in a fictional country that lies adjacent to the United States' eastern coast. The world still runs itself as ours does, and history is the same, with it only being altered when necessary to throw the fictional country in. The natives of this country are descendants of the gods and mortals, giving them things like supernatural speed, endurance, strength and agility while allowing them to maintain human appearances. The immigrants are obviously regular humans. The natives, while being similar in many ways to humans, aren't human. Therefore, I refrain from referring to the natives with "person", "people", "human" etc. I've even gone as far as to change things like "crimes against humanity" to "crimes against society" just to uphold this. The country is a stratocracy, so they are basically run by and revolve around the military. The series mainly follows a group of soldiers, sailors and pilots as they combat both domestic and international threats while dealing with the issues within their own personal lives. Despite the mythological gods existing, the rest of the mythology is treated as nonexistent, and self-created demons serve to fill that supernatural area when needed. I hope to use the series to address lots of major issues in modern society, from gun control to racism to homosexuality. It's a very complex universe, so I'd be happy to expand if anyone wants lol

I quite like the sound of it! I'd like to see the finished result if you decide to publish.
Mine takes place in a fictional world. It mostly focuses on the conflict between two opposing worlds, and between the entities that maintain them both.

This story is my five-year-old baby, and I'm very protective of it, so I can't throw a lot of details at strangers on the internet, but it's basically just self-indulgent realistic fiction about found family. Will it ever appeal to anyone the way it appeals to me? Probably not, but it's like my kid or something, and I love it very, very much.

Mine is about these 'soul keepers' and one of them has a soul thats pretty rare so she has taken on the role as den mother for the keepers, but one day she is out in charge of her first soul ever. It throws everything out of balance for everyone and after a series of events that I won't say because spoilers if I ever publish this, the keepers finally establish a balance again and the main character's soul type that she guards becomes more common and she finds a new role for herself. Ultimately, its just a world building story for my main one about 'ghost detectives' that are in charge of finding a ghost's killer and making sure that the human faces justice (especially if they weren't caught in the physical world) when they pass on into the afterlife.

It's a very complex universe, so I'd be happy to expand if anyone wants lol The world your series takes place in sounds intricate, yet deep. I'd like to hear more. I'm working on a thriller series. It takes place on ordinary Earth, and begins in late 2014. Without giving too much away, it revolves around these five teenagers who out of nowhere, have certain parts of their lives rearranged. For example, one of the characters has his aunt living with his family, but wakes up one morning for her to be gone. When he questions his family, they claim the said aunt was actually his uncle who died when he was five. These five teenagers seem to have no relation to each other, and their lives go upside down, assuming they are alone in their experience. I'm working on getting the first book to 100,000 words for my senior project, it's at 40,000 right now. I'm most likely going to do most of the writing for NaNo, I've never done it before. After that will be a bunch of editing. The project is only to get to 100,000 words by March, the deadline of the project. I'm going to have to work on it beyond that.
