In a secluded forest hidden away from active human civilization lives the clan known as CavernClan. Cats from all walks of life have come to join the clan, though the vast majority of them have always been feral. These cats are no strangers to the wild side, and will do anything to keep that free nature alive. A tom known as Cavern was living in these woods when he stumbled upon a small group of cats, not larger than three or four. These feral cats accepted him with open paws and soon, CavernClan was born. The accepting and loyal tomcat took in as many cats as he could, and that was when CavernClan became prosperous. And even now, many moons after that diligent cat has passed on to StarClan, CavernClan remains strong and ever-growing. Will you join? Or live your life as an outsider? The choice is up to you. CavernClan's territory consists of a lush forest. It is quite isolated, giving the cats of the clan room to roam without having to worry about Two-legs or monsters. However, in the far corner of the territory there a camp site for two-legs that is sometimes occupied by them during the summer, but for the most part, the territory is well hidden and preserved by nature.
Camp: In the center of the forest lies CavernClan's camp. It is a rocky cavern underneath the ground. The entrance is surrounded by brambles for protection. Crystal Cavern: On the far side of the territory, across from the two-leg campground is the Crystal Cavern. This is where the leader and medicine cat come to speak with StarClan. Like the camp, it is below the ground, though instead of dens, there is the Shining Crystal. The crystal is in the middle of the den on a large boulder. When the leader or medicine cat puts their paw on the crystal, they are able to speak with StarClan in their dreams. Two-leg Campground: On the far side of the territory across from Crystal Cavern is the two-leg campground. It is a site for two-legs during green-leaf, though they are not always there. Rabbit Ridge: To the north side of territory not far from camp is Rabbit Ridge. This part of the territory is plentiful with rabbits. There are trails that two-legs made through the grass long before the clan moved in, but since the clan has used them, they have stayed embedded in the ground. The ground here is a bit rocky, and home to a few hidden animal dens, so one must be careful while hunting. Tunnels: Underground, interconnecting tunnels run through the backside of CavernClan's territory. They connect to the backside of the Crystal Cavern. These tunnels are off limits to every clan cat except for the medicine cat and leader, and most cats don't even know they exist.
Situated in a rocky cavern below ground is CavernClan's camp. Through the center of camp is a smoothed brick pathway, giving light that this was once a two-leg inhabited area. The pathway runs all of the way through camp and slightly uphill to the territory right outside of camp. The cats of CavernClan have surrounded the entrance with brambles so no outside animals can get in.
Leader's Den: The leader's den is located at the end of the brick pathway, directly opposite to the camp's above ground entrance. It is a small hole in the rocky wall of the cavern, able to fit three to four cats inside. Fern-like plants cover half the entrance, acting like a curtain for privacy. Medicine Cat and Medicine Cat Apprentice's Den: Next to the leader's den is the home of the medicine cat and his or her apprentice. It is a larger den, able to hold at least five cats in it at once, along with places in the walls for herb storage. Warriors' Den: The warriors' den is located just to the right of the camp's entrance, just off the brick pathway. Cats must climb a height of about a foot to get in. This is the largest den in the camp, able to hold all of the warriors comfortably. Apprentices' Den: The apprentices' den is located to the left of the camp's entrance, directly opposite to the warriors' den. It is much smaller than the warriors' den, though it is able to hold all of the apprentices in it well enough. Just like the warriors' den, cats must climb a height of about one and half feet to get inside. Nursery: The nursery is located near the back of camp, adjacent to the leader's den. It is dark, quiet, and comfortable, making it the perfect place for queens and kits to rest. Just like the leader's den, plants cover the majority of the entrance, giving it privacy from the rest of the camp. Elders' Den: The elders' den is located just across from the Nursery, right next to the medicine cat's den. This is the smallest den in camp. It is located just a foot from the path and has a smooth entrance, making it the perfect place for elder cats to reside in. Stepping Stones: The Stepping Stones is where the leader or deputy goes to make announcements. Just like it's name, it is a "staircase" of stable stones leading up to a small ledge. It is right in-between the nursery and the warriors' den. Fresh-kill Pile: The fresh-kill pile is located just at the base of the Stepping Stones, to the left. This is where all of the hunted prey goes to feed the clan.

1. Forum Rules: This a given. Follow the rules that the forum has provided, and you should have no problems. 2. Activity: I understand that people have lives, and can't always get on the forums everyday, but please try to be on at least twice a week, with at least one of those days having role-played. This isn't a chat group, and while chatting is totally accepted, you must role-play as well. 3. Replies: While this clan doesn't have a label of "advanced" or "literate", please try to follow the rules of grammar. I want this to be a safe place for everyone, and have everyone feel accepted, but talking like you have no education at all is hard for anyone to deal with. Also, please at least try not to write one-liners. I understand if you're trying and you have no muse, but at least try to write two to three lines per role-play post. That will make it easier for everyone's creative juices to get flowing. 4. Gender Ratio: Please try to have somewhat of an equal amount of genders within your characters. I understand if you can't make it perfectly equal, but at least try to. If you have an overabundance of one gender, I will kindly ask you to make another character of the opposite gender. (i.e. four toms, two she-cats) 5. Perfection and Realism: Please, no mary-sues or gary sues (stus?).No one is perfect, and the same goes for animals! As for realism, no wings, powers, or unnatural pelt colors. If it can't happen in nature naturally, it can't happen here. 6. LGBTQA+: Everyone is accepted here, and the same goes for cats. If you disagree or don't like it, this isn't the role-play for you. 7. Plots, Drama, Romance: Before making a large plot, whether it be romance or action, please run it by me first! This is just a common courtesy, and helps keep me in the loop of things (: Also, please try to keep undeveloped crushes to a minimum. Meaning, try not to join with your character having a crush on someone, and certainly not already having a mate UNLESS you and the other role-player have discussed it, and can provide me with a history. This helps keep role-playing fun and interesting, not forced and planned out to every move.

Leader:
Poppystar- a seal-pointed she-cat with icy blue eyes. Poppystar has the looks of a darker color Siamese cat, though being clan born, she is not a purebred. She has the creamy, tan colored neck and chest, though her legs, face, tail, and body are tinged with a chocolatey-brown color. A dense she-cat, Poppystar is rather large with a thick pelt. Poppystar is a wise and caring cat, a natural born leader. She puts her clan above herself and tries her best to have a good relationship with all of its members.
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
Deputy: reserved
Medicine Cat: reserved
Medicine Cat Apprentice: Fennecpaw- a lithe and lanky cream tabby tom with pale green eyes. Fennecpaw has a long and silky pale ginger-cream pelt, and large pointed ears that have small wisps of hair coming from them. A quiet tom, Fennecpaw keeps to himself, though he is very kind and loves to help others. He is not skilled in hunting or fighting, which is why he chose the path of a medicine cat. He is devoted to helping his clanmates in the way of medicine.
Warriors: Shadowfern- a small, black smoke tabby she-cat with pale green eyes. Shadowfern is smaller than most cats, though she does not let this stop her. Her dark, yet unique pelt help her to stick to the shadows, making her an excellent hunter- especially at night. Her muzzle is slightly pressed in, and she has a small scar in the bridge of her nose. Shadowfern is a nice she-cat, though she is hesitant to trust. She spends most of her time observing others, and is good at judging whether a cat has good or bad intentions.
Howlingmoon-- a large, long-haired dark gray tom with green eyes. Howlingmoon is a simple tom, and blends in with the crowd appearance wise. The only thing that sets him apart is his large figure and paws. He is a protective tom with a loving personality, though he may look a bit gruff on the outside with his stoic face. The tom truly is a lover, though he will not hesitate to fight, especially if it has to do with protecting his clan or loved ones.
Silverfin- An elegant Oriental she-cat with thick, feathery silver fur and darker spots of tabby markings. She has narrowed amber-green eyes. This feline is pure of heart and truly loyal to her Clan. She can come off as spoiled with her prim and proper attitude, her picky nature as well. While she's mostly about duty, bring her to a stream and a kit-like side of her will show.
Hawkfeather- A dusty (light brown) tom with dark brown stripes on his back, tail, and legs. His paws are jet black along with his ears. Tail is very fluffy. He is born into the clan from his mother and father. They are both dead by a war between another clan. His sister and brothers were dead from the moment they were born. He was the only that survived of all his siblings. A snappy and aggressive tom. Hawkfeather doesn't enjoy doing everything wrong and hates failings, though he fails at hunting most of the time. Hawkfeather is really friendly if your a close friend to him, but he barely has friends in the clan. He is 21 moons old.
Foxswipe- Foxswipe is an interesting she-cat, no one can deny that. Her fur is a dark russet color, with her back and forehead covered in an even darker reddish-black color, and her eyes are a dark greenish-yellow. Foxswipe isn't a very pleasant cat, with a short-temper and an attitude to match. She's not afraid to use her teeth and claws, although her scathing words usually do the job. She has excellent fighting skills; You'd definitely want her on your side in a battle. Although this tends to be the only thing she's really got going for her. Foxswipe has a rough outer shell, but she also has a softer side that she refuses to admit she has. It takes a lot of determination to reach that softer side, but with consistent kindness, she may let you pass her barriers. Despite how rough she may seem on the outside, in reality, she's an insecure she-cat who is a lot like her clan mates. Redpaw is her sister.
Raggedbite- Raggedbite is a very well-rounded warrior, although some say he can be a bit quick to jump into battle. He's a very 'professional' cat, with high ambitions. He takes clan matters very seriously, which some say makes him a boring tom to be around. However, when he's in a good mood, he can be quite adventurous and actually an enjoyable cat to be with. He has a pretty big ego, and tends to think he's the best at mostly everything. This can drive some cats away, but he's completely oblivious. He's pretty ignorant to others' feelings unless they are spoken outright to him. His pelt is a dark brown with black, jagged stripes covering his body.
Thistlebrook- Thistlebrook has long, silky creamish fur. It has black speckles lining it, most around his face. He has two very dark green eyes, as well as a lighter muzzle and lighter paws. A long tail sprouts from his muscled hndquarters and he has four long legs. His ears are torn and ripped, his nose and paw pads pink. To top it all off, Thistlebrook has long, thick, fluffy whiskers. Thistlebrook is bisexual.
Clovertuft- Clovertuft is quite the show. With kinky, long ginger fur and one green, one blue eye, there's no surprise why she's called, "Crazy Clover". She has two very pale ginger paws that have white toes. She's polydactyl on each paw. Clovertuft has a spiky fur tuft on her head and a bobtail. She has short, stubby legs and big, big paws. She has huge ears and a long muzzle. She's like a munchkin cat, but bigger and funnier looking. Clovertuft is straight.
Burrcloud- Burrcloud has several fur clours, but he's mainly tan and gold. With huge, jet black leopard spots and tiny ears, you can almost call him a bengal. However, he has no tail, unlike a bengals, and odd blue eyes. He counts himself as a bengal, though. He has a thin coat that reveals the muscles beneath it. Burrcloud's fur sticks up in some spots, giving him his name. His fur is also quite fluffy and soft, giving him the -cloud suffix. Burrcloud is gay.
Fennelwhisker- Fennelwhisker, with the except of their chest fur, is all black. Named for being born underneath fennel, there's no wonder why Fennelwhisker knows the scent so well. However, Fennelwhisker is a genderfluid pansexual cat, almost always feeling masculine. They have odd-looking hazelish eyes that are flecked with grey. Fennelwhisker has long, fluffy whiskers and a gritty fur texture.
Apprentices: Spookpaw- a tall, lanky black she-cat with pale green eyes. Spookpaw is a classic black cat with a sleek and shiny pelt. Her coloring helps her blend in, but her body type might make her seem a bit odd to others. She has long legs, a long tail, and rather large ears. Her face is slim and triangular shaped, though her muzzle is long and quite protruding. She looks much like an Oriental shorthair, though she refuses to admit that she may have kittyblood in her. Spookpaw is a fireball. Energetic and fun loving, there isn't much this she-cat would deny.
Leopardpaw- A long-legged ticked gray tomcat with pepper-gray tabby markings and pale green eyes. A unique feature about him would be his long, willowy legs paired with his shorter than average tail; his tail isn't bobbed, but it's about half the length of a normal tail. He's a pretty easy-going and friendly tomcat with the need to prove himself and become the best he can be.
Cedarpaw- Cedarpaw is a she-cat who is lithe and agile, yet still has a considerable amount of muscle to her. She has a powerful, yet regal, air about her, and it almost seems like she's a sweet she-cat when you first meet her. But cross her, and she isn't afraid to use her teeth and claws. She has a fiery ambition that everyone recognizes. She is an excellent fighter, but lacks in most other skills. Cedarpaw knows how to get what she wants for the most part, using words like silver and what little charm she can muster. But this is all an act, however. It's not easy to make friends with this she-cat, as she will often cut conversations short if the other cat doesn't before her due to her lack of friendliness. The first color you see when looking at this young she-cat is a medium-dark rusty reddish-brown color, which isn't the most pleasing to the eye. On top of that, is an even darker plethora of stripes, covering her entire body, in a tabby pattern. Her eyes are a dark amber, adding to her rather intimidating appearance.
Ravenpaw- Ravenpaw is mostly just an average apprentice. He's adventurous, and troublesome, and doesn't particularly like to go training. He's younger than most other apprentices, so he may grow out of it as he gets older. Ravenpaw is very curious, and this tends to get him in trouble. He's fun to be around, though, and is usually never seen around camp doing nothing. And although he's very daring, he's very smart and can usually wiggle his way out of serious consequences. He's not the best at fighting or hunting, but he's very intelligent when it comes to battle strategies, or even just advice in general. And although he may not seem like it, he's very dependable and gets things done when they need to get done. His coat is pure black, and he has golden-yellow eyes.
Redpaw- Redpaw looks a lot like Foxswipe, her older sister. She has the same russet colored fur, but has no darker color touching her pelt. In contrats, she has a white front paw and tail tip. Her eyes are a darker green as well. If it weren't for looking alike, no one would guess that Redpaw and Foxswipe were related. Redpaw is very cheerful and friendly, the opposite of her grumpy sibling. Redpaw is popular within the clan, as she can almost always bring up her clan mates' moods when she needs to. She's great to go to for advice, and is always willing to listen. She's a very studious apprentice, and always tries to learn as much as she can, even if her skills are lacking. Her biggest skills are in fighting, which is one thing she has in common with her sister, although she doesn't really like to fight. She'd much rather avoid conflict and confrontation if at all possible.
Harepaw- Harepaw- Harepaw is an athletic, fat grey tom. His fur is soot grey and he has long ears and a white bobtail. He has dark blue eyes and muscled hindquarters. He is gay.
Queens: Bushleaf- Bushleaf has sleek, extremely soft light brown fur. It has several streaks of other browns in it. Her tailtip, muzzle, and toes are a much lighter colour and her eyes have darker flecks around them. She has pale blue eyes and is plump. A random tom mated with her in the forest. She is expecting his kits. She is bi.
Kits:
....
Elders:
Crackedpads- a thin and scarred pale ginger tom with amber eyes. Crackedpads is a gruff tom with a raspy voice. Though he can be crabby, he is also quite benevolent at times. Having retired from warrior duties at a young age, Crackedpads has spent most of his life in the elder's den, observing daily life in the clan and doing his hardest to get out of camp. He developed an issue with his paw pads as a warrior, causing them to crack and give him sharp pain to where he couldn't perform his duties anymore. He walks with a constant limp, and is losing his eyesight. He doesn't let his issues get him down, seeing as though he is constantly bugging warriors to take for a hunt or even trying to help out in the medicine den. Twistedtoe- Twistedtoe may have a funny name, however he has quite a story. He has ginger fur with darker spots on either shoulder and all along his back. He has quite a long tail and long legs. He has white toes, four ginger paws. So what gave him the name "Twistedtoe'? When he retired, he was called, "Scorchtail". He was taking a peaceful stroll and stepped on a fox trap. It ripped his back right and front left paws and left them permanently damaged. He has no paw pads on those paws. He was retired then and renamed by his request. He has amber eyes that tell his story. He is asexual.

Poppystar slipped out of her den, the cool air hitting her as she slipped past the fern 'curtain'. The she-cat's seal colored pelt was smoothed down, giving her a polished look, though it was still early in the morning. She gave a small purr as she looked across her clan. Mostly everyone was still sleeping since it was early, though there were a few cats up and about. Howlingmoon and Crackedpads to be specific, but that didn't surprise her. The two toms were always awake bright and early, and that was something Poppystar admired. Though she was leader, she still loved her sleep.
The Siamese looking she-cat padded over to the fresh-kill pile, eager to pick out a piece of prey for her breakfast. She didn't want to be greedy, but her belly was already rumbling. She picked out an average sized vole and settled down at the base of the Stepping Stones. That way, she could still look over her clan as the camp being lively.

RushingwolfHawkfeather licked his fur in his sleep somehow. This time he was dreaming about chasing plump rabbits on the field and this made him drool in his sleep a bit. The tom started running in his sleep making that motion with his paws. As soon as the sunlight hit him, the dream stopped. Hawkfeather woke up with drool all over his shoulder. "Mouse-dung.", growled the tom to himself. Getting out of the warrior's den, the brown tom stretched and he gave a long yawn. His claws flexed out as he stretched. Hawkfeather saw PoppyStar and he walked to her as he grabbed a mouse from the fresh-kill pile. "Good morning PoppyStar.", purred the warrior to the leader.

Hearing her name, Poppystar looked up. The she-cat swallowed the prey she was eating and swiped her tongue over her lips, sitting up in response. "Hello Hawkfeather." She mewed, her voice cheerful and bright. "How are you?" Her question was genuine. She truly did care about all of her clan's members, and wanted to make sure that every one of them was doing alright. Because if they weren't, she was going to fix it.

Thanks c: Here are some starters if anyone wants to respond to them :3 }}
Redpaw was the only cat Foxswipe could truly handle without ever losing her temper. Even though she would get annoyed, Foxswipe loved her sister and wouldn't dare to go off on her. In fact, Foxswipe was pretty protective of her, even when she was annoying her to death. "Come on, Foxswipe! One move, come on!" Redpaw meowed with pleading eyes. Foxswipe was doing her best to just ignore her and eat her mouse, but it didn't seem to be working. "No, Redpaw, thats what your mentor is for." She meowed plainly. Redpaw was bothering her to teach her one of Foxswipes 'famous' battle moves, but she wasn't budging. Redpaw lowered her voice as she meowed, "But, Foxswipe, come on. You could totally take on Howlingmoon in a fight." With a small chuckle, she pleaded once more. "Please! Just one." Foxswipe just rolled her eyes and continued to eat.
Ravenpaw had woken up only recently, and already he was looking for ways to cause trouble. Maybe not cause trouble, but his sense of adventure was tingling, and, inevitably, it usually led to trouble. With a yawn, he began grooming his fur nonchalantly. as if he'd already done something to get into trouble. As he groomed, his eyes flicked back and forth in camp, as if scanning for some cat to bother, or to take with on whatever his next adventure would be.
Raggedbite walked proudly into camp, two mice swinging from their tails in his jaws. His tail and head were high, and he was beaming with pride. He was over exaggerating, as these were just regular mice that any other cat probably could have caught. But to him, since he caught them, they were obviously the best prey in the pile. He made his way over and dropped them on top, pausing a moment to admire them, before sitting next to the pile and grooming his ruffled fur.

Poppystar crouched back down when Hawkfeather began to ate. The she-cat made herself comfortable and gave a small nod. "That's good." She mewed, flicking an ear. She watched the tom with her bright blue eyes. "I'm doing good, thanks for asking." She purred before taking another small bite of her vole. The she-cat blinked while she chewed, silently thinking about her plans for the day. She hadn't been the leader for very long, but she still considered herself to be fairly good at it. And by keeping that title she knew she had to assign out patrols. "After you eat would you mind taking out a small border patrol? Another warrior and an apprentice should be plenty." She spoke up, diverting her gaze back up to Hawkfeather.

[ ohmygosh I can so see Spookpaw and Ravenpaw getting into so much trouble together xD ]
---
The black she-cat known as Spookpaw slowly blinked her eyes open. She quietly scanned her eyes across the apprentices' den, pale eyes still heavy with sleep. When she saw it was empty, she gave a deep yawn and sat up, pawing at her eye slightly. While the she-cat was energetic and loved to have fun, she still loved her sleep. Another yawn escaped her mouth before she shook her head. It was time to get up and she knew it. She didn't want Raggedbite to come in and yell at her. With a small sigh she got up and shook out her short pelt. It was so naturally sleek that nothing really clung to it, and didn't always need grooming when she first woke up. Spookpaw was happy for that. Taking the time out to groom her pelt was something she never liked to do.
Spookpaw slipped out of the den and stopped near the entrance. She cast her pale green gaze across camp, stopping them on Ravenpaw. The tom was sitting alone, idly grooming his pelt. As soon as her eyes rested on him, a devious thought crept into her mind, causing her to let out a small smirk. The slender she-cat slipped gracefully down to floor of the cavern and crept over to Ravenpaw. She flicked her large ear and jumped, silently throwing herself onto the tom in a playful tackle.

omg yes<3 }}
Ravenpaw was mid-lick when all of a sudden a heavy ball of fur bowled him over. "Hey!" He called out in surprise before playfully pawing at whoever it was that had attacked him. He let out a growl of 'intimidation.' Taking a second to get a good look at the she-cat who attacked him, he realized it was none other than the boisterous Spookpaw. 'Of course!' He thought. Of course, since he wasn't the most skilled in play fight or real fight, it wouldn't take the she-cat much effort to pin him down, but he still put up a little fight, softly biting the ear of the black cat.

As she landed on Ravenpaw, Spookpaw gave a small laugh. "Hasn't Hawkfeather taught you anything?" She teased, "Always be expecting an attack!" She she-cat's words were purely play, and she couldn't help but let another small laugh out. She gently rolled off the tom, swinging her paw around to gently bat at his head when he tugged on her ear. She lay on the dusty ground, looking at the tom with playful eyes. She wasn't sure what he next move would be, but she was sure that she could take it.
At Hawkfeather's question, Poppystar let herself think. "How about Cedarpaw? And also, take Shadowfern. She'll enjoy going." She spoke before taking another bite of her food. She really wanted to leave the decision up to the tom, but since he asked, she found no problem in telling him. She knew that mentors would be taking apprentices out soon, and while Shadowfern and Cedarpaw weren't a teaching and learning pair, it would be good to note how compatible they were. "Oh- and when you get back, could you tell me how Shadowfern and Cedarpaw interacted?" She added, looking at Hawkfeather.

Rushingwolf"Okay PoppyStar, I will.", mewed the tom to the leader as he flashed a smile. Hawkfeather nodded and saw Ravenpaw and Spookpaw playing around, but he didn't say anything.

Ravenpaw sat next to the she-cat, carefully planning his revenge. "Sorry I don't expect my own clan mates to turn against me!" He joked, twitching his whiskers with amusement. His tail lashed, ready for another attack if she decided to do so. He waited a moment, and when no attack came, he quickly wriggled his haunches before pouncing on her as she lay on the ground. "And hasn't Raggedbite told you to never leave yourself vulnerable near an enemy?" He shot back with a playful and cheery tone.
Cedarpaw was a late riser no doubt, and although having done nothing productive yet today, she still lazily napped in camp, hoping others would either not notice, or not care. She looked almost pathetic, laying in such a vulnerable position. Belly up, her tail twitched ever so slightly, but would occasionally whip to and fro when the pace of his dream sped up. She snored softly, yet still loud enough for those in her vicinity to hear her dozing off. In her dream, there she stood, body low to the ground as she stalked a large, fat vole, just waiting to be caught. She pounced, landing square on top of it. In one, single, smooth motion she bent down his neck and gave it a fast, clean killing bite.

Shadowfern lazily laid next to Crackedpaws, flicking her tail against the ground. The light colored tom was talking her ear off about going out to hunt, and now Shadowfern was seriously considering it. The black tabby she-cat gently placed her paw on the elder's tail after reconsidering her though. "You know I can't do that." She sighed, watching him. She hated telling the older cat no, especially considering his situation.
The she-cat gently pressed her nose to the elder's cheek in a comforting motion. "I'll be back to come see with you later, so you want anything?" She asked, her green eyes comforting. When the tom rasped a simple 'no', Shadowfern nodded and got up, padding away. She hated seeing Crackedpads in such a vulnerable position. The two weren't related, but Shadowfern felt as if she owed the tom something. He had always been there for her, and when no one would talk to her, he would. She loved the tom as if he were her own father. As she was mindlessly walking, the quiet she-cat bumped into Hawkfeather. "Oh!" She exclaimed, taking a step back. "I'm sorry! I wasn't paying attention." Her dark tabby pelt heated up and she lowered her head a bit. She had stumbled over her words slightly and was just adding to her embarrassment. Shadowfern had never felt like she was very good with other cats.
