my bed is amazing so i can go to sleep and dream of happy beautiful puppies to ignore everything bad in life
so safe spaces are good imo but don't hide from society forever alrighty?

I feel a lot more are needed and the idea needs to be normalized more. People shouldn't be forced to stay in a situation that makes them extremely uncomfortable and need to be given a safe environment to think about it on their own and go through their feelings and thoughts in a healthy way.
I feel we should also discuss what its means for a space to be "safe" Is it a place where everyone agrees with you and there isn't any adversity? A place where there isn't any judgement on your beleifs and opinions? A place to chat/rant/talk without consequences? A place to ask questions and to learn and gain more knowledge?

i do mean like in schools and stuff ➳ ohhh ok Yeah like there are tons of classrooms in my school where teachers have put up the little "safe space" sign on the door/window. It's touching. I feel a lot better when I can identify the sign in my classroom like "ok this teacher will protect me" and it generally makes me happier?? I've never used/needed it before but it's just good to know the possibility is there
teacher allies are the best yes a++ the teacher that sponsors the gsa at my school has won teacher of the year several times and he teaches history and is generally great. actually one of my pe teachers brought in her wife on the last day and told us about how she'd propose (it was bomb)

I understand having quiet rooms for people with like anxiety and disorders and stuff, because sometimes you just need a quiet space for a few minutes when going back to your house/dorm isn't an option. But if you need a "safe space" to recover after hearing bad opinions, it's quite frankly time to grow up. I'll stop there.
