According to Su Pinestar is, through the blood of his father, related to Gorseclaw. I wonder if that means Sweetbriar isn't related to SkyClan at all.

Yep! The only founding leader we have any confirmation of having descendants in the Clans is Windstar. It would be nice to know if Skystar (and the others) have descendants still alive as well.

I read what Su said, and I thought it was interesting that Sweetbriar doesn't have SkyClan blood and it instead comes from Pinestar's father. As for who I think his father is, I'm guessing it's either Oakstar, Nettlebreeze, Mumblefoot, Beetail, Seedpelt, or Thrushtalon. I mostly think it's either Oakstar or Beetail, if only to keep up with the pattern of Tigerstar's family tree being in positions of power.
And I hope Cloudstar or Birdflight are descended from Skystar. That'd be interesting. I think Sandstorm might also be descended from Thunderstar, and Hollyleaf and her brothers be descendants of Shadowstar or at least Sun Shadow. Crookedstar and his family might be descendants of Riverstar.

You know Oakstar being his father would be interesting. I don't think he was that old in Mapleshade's Vengance.

That would be interesting is Hollyleaf and her brothers are descendants of Shadowstar of Sun Shadow. Especially since they are from ShadowClan, so the only way I believe that could work is if forbidden romance was involved. And I still believe that Blackstar is a descendant of Spider Paw (or Bubbling Stream).

If they're gonna be confirming stuff left and right, I think it is a good idea if the authors or the fandom create an official canon family tree, we all know the one on the website is absolute garbage

I bet it's Oakstar. Pinestar's son is Tigerstar, Tigerstar's son is Bramblestar....
So Oakstar would have to be Pinestar's father. ; )

If they're gonna be confirming stuff left and right, I think it is a good idea if the authors or the fandom create an official canon family tree, we all know the one on the website is absolute garbage Here have these then: Every cat connected to Firestar Small Family Trees (Note: Information from Thunder and Shadow is missing because I want to read that book first and Swankit, Hillkit and Downkit are missing. Plus I still need to connect Blossomfall and Thornclaw, but apart from that these trees are complete and I'll update them as soon as I can :3) |

When I read Gorseclaw I immediately thought of WindClan and considered that Pinestar could be related to Windflight. ha
