Lately with everything they've been saying lately, I'm starting to wonder if they're trying to ruin the series on purpose. I doubt it, but it just really feels like they've stopped caring. I mean, many of the things they have been saying makes no sense. It feels like they are just saying whatever.
Just recently Kate said she thinks the Dark Forest cats should have gone to StarClan, because they don't deserve to suffer. It's just... what?
But on the other hand we have Vicky who is just throwing cats into the Dark Forest left and right, because they're "too negative."
there are so many other things they have been saying that just makes me wonder what is going on.

I think and hope that this is the last series. I mean, they've already done so much, such as causing ShadowClan's downfall, introducing a whole new set of villains and characters who are pretty different from usual, killing characters rather freely (Littlecloud, Sandstorm, the old SkyClan cat in TAQ, Crowfrost, the other SC cats who died to sickness, Furzepelt, Onestar...) and hinting at SkyClan's return. I just can't shake the feeling that this is the final big bang before the end.

I mean, if I was forced to write books about fictionary cats for about 13 years, I'd probably go a little bonkers too.

Well, the new editorial team works on AVOS so that's why the names are so unoriginal, plot so repeative, etc.

I thought OotS was the perfect ending. I wanted more prequels.

I believe they just stopped caring. Why else do you think OotS was messy? They probably only improved on AVOS because of the complaints we have been giving them. Remember when people complained a lot about Dovewing? Vicky made her better and more mature in Dovewing's Silence. Notice how the writing quality has improved tremendously since OotS? People complained about the quality. I feel like they have been forced to care again, but guess what Erins, don't half ass a series. You promised us a good ending for TLH and that went down the drain due to its rushed battle and poor characters. I am glad they are stepping up with improvement. It's Vicky's books that needs improvement now. I feel like she stopped caring too since DS.

I think getting rid of forums is enough proof that Warriors is about to come to an end. If the series were still doing well financially, they could spare the money to keep forums running.
Combine that with the fact that Vicky's stopped doing the main series, we haven't heard from Cherith in a gazillion years, they no longer do meet-and-greets, and now Kate has recently announced a dragon series she is going to start soon... It pretty obvious even outside the series that Erin Huntsr are getting ready to say goodbye to warriors.

It does seem like the Erins have stopped caring about the series, but considering that the series has been around for about thirteen years now, I'm not surprised if they just simply stopped caring after awhile.
And there have been signs that the series may be coming to an end after this arc, at least the main series anyway, so this along with some other things, like the old forums shutting down, may be their way of saying goodbye to a series they've been working on for so long and wish to end it on a high note given how great the quality has been lately.

Sutherland actually has her own dragon series.

It's ninth book is going to be released in late December, a novella compilation containing the first three novellas in January, a special edition that was released this year in June, and it's fourth novella was released just a few days ago. It's really good and I highly recommend it! It's become a personal favorite of mine and my profile pic is actually of one of the characters, Glory.

If they'd actually ended it there, that would have been a beautiful ending.

Right when the old forums were ending, I saw some posts that the service(?) that hosted the forum announced it was raising the price for using it and that was likely the reason it was shut down. The post saying the forums were ending apparently came a month or two after the service announced the price hike. This all might be a crazy conspiracy theory some people were floating around during the end though, I have no idea. I don't understand why they are publishing so many books now if they are going to end it. Seems more like a revival to me.
