Yay! I'm happy that the title was fixed! Now I know it takes place after DOTC/MFV. Though I still hope to see his nine lives ceremony.

A new threat? And quick question, but wasn't Thunderstar the cat who created the deputy tradition? I have to wonder if we'll see Lightningtail's death in here. And maybe we'll meet Cloudspots apprentice?

Me too. I hope that's Chapter 1, and the rest takes place around the time of the MFV manga, but somehow, I doubt it will. *sigh* The MFV's manga was really ambiguous and I want answers...I hope this isn't the last we see of the Dawn of the Clans cats. I like them a lot. I want to know the names of her kits as well. I hope we find that out, too....I hope it's Honey Pelt for SkyClan, Night for RiverClan, and Sun Shadow for ShadowClan. I hope not, she's fine the way she is. By the way, the concept of deputies was first thought of by some cat we don't know yet, so Thunderstar is probably it. |

Or...maybe it's Maggottail? It was stated in TFW that he was the oldest of the DF leaders. It was also noted that he is a little more than a shadow. Almost faded away completely. We don't know his pelt colour, so he could be anyone...

No, SkyClan's deputy has to be Sparrow Fur.
Both because it should be, and because then Turtle Tail's kits would be a Leader/Deputy/Medicine Cat trio (like Thunder, Lightning Tail, and Acorn Fur, or Bramblestar, Squirrelflight, and Leafpool).

Just as I thought. I'm glad it's going to take place after he gets his nine lives. Maybe we'll get to see his ceremony, or at least get mention of it? I also wonder if we'll get to see the first few fights with RiverClan over Sunningrocks and see Shadowstar's personality change, but I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't.
No idea on what the tradition could be, but maybe it's the deputy you thing since the line of succession concept had kind of already brought before in the DotC arc. As for the threat, it says it's a new one, so I don't know.
I really hope we finally get confirmation on who the first deputies for the other Clans were, as well as the successors for the leaders, or at least hints of it. Same goes for Blue Whisker's mate.

Here is another threat idea, but what about Greencough? It could strike and even the medicine cats don't know the cure. I remember that according to SOTC Cloud Spots was stated to be the medicine cat who found the difference between Whitecough and Greencough and identified catmint as a possible cure.

As much as I love Honey Pelt, I just have a strange desire to see Sparrow Fur take over SkyClan. Well, she could still be deputy, but during this time period, that doesn't necessarily mean she would've been Skystar's successor if we take Code of the Clans into account. Also back then, it was only kin who became the next leader and since Sparrow Fur is technically Gray Wing's daughter, there's a good chance that she may have been SkyClan's next leader. |
