Do you think Mothwing would've ended up believing in StarClan if not for Hawkfrost? It did mention she saw StarClan when she was accepted into the position of a medicine cat apprentice. So if Hawkfrost hadn't done what he'd done, would she have believed? Or would she never have became a medicine cat in the first place? We don't really know why she decided to become a medicine cat, but they did say they were waiting for StarClan's approval first. If Hawkfrost hadn't done the Moth wing thing, would she still have become a medicine cat? Ifthere wasn't for Hawkfrost sign, she probably would've remained a believing warrior. |

I agree with Whispering Leaves ^
I think she would have still shown a lot of interest in being a medicine cat for a while and tried helping Mudfur where she could but then settled into warrior life as I believe she wasn't meant to be a medicine cat.
Another thing to consider though is that Mudfur would have died without an apprentice so perhaps she would have been elected anyway as she showed interest in it?

i can't be sure.
due to how easy it was for her to lose faith and be stubborn with it, i feel that could indicate that in this alternative scenario if she isn't pleased with how vague their guidance is she might disregard them completely and lose faith in trusting that they can 10342344% solve her clan's problems.

Actually Vicky and Kate both confirmed that Mothwing Would not have become a medicine cat if Hawkfrost hadn't planted the sign.
Basically she never would have become a medicine cat if her brother hadn't faked the sign. And if I remember correctly she said started to really believe in StarClan after the sign was revealed and when she found out it was a lie it made her not believe anymore.

Wouldn't StarClan maybe send a different omen though? For example if his apprentic's name would've been Brackenpaw/leaf, he would've found bracken leaf and not moth's wing. |
