Shadow: hahaha okay then. Sushi is interesting.
Pete: Okay yeah true.
I guess I more or less wondered how you met your significant other. For instance I've known mine since we were eight and I thought he was cute when we got a little older. He didn't remember me at all and we didn't start talking until junior year. I kinda wish we would have grown up close.

There once was a goober named Northy. Northy was very lonely. Northy's friends all had significant others and were constantly talking about them. Northy was okay with that. Then Northy's friends had a bunch of romantic problems and drama. Northy did not. Because Northy was perfectly happy being single. Even though Northy was still lonely, The best significant other is yourself.
Teh end

In all seriousness, I haven't had any love stories...drama, sure, but all of it internal. Long story short, I had a crush on a guy, but when he became depressed, reclusive, and moody, I started to notice his best friend before (whom has always been in the shadows to me). and then i started liking him too. like a freaking romance novel.

Bummer. Usually once a drama geek always a drama geek (saying that affectionately because I've been performing for 16 years.)

i met my guy the first day of the second semester of high school, when i walked into my new health class looking for a friend. the last semester, i had met a guy in my photography class who i had an awkward.. thing with and i was wary of getting a crush on another friend of mine when i wasn't ready for a relationship. so anyway, i walk in, desperately looking for someone i know. i slide in next to a kid doodling on his notebook. during those classic icebreakers teachers make you do, we really hit it off. we talked to each other really easily, and i tried to convince myself i wasn't going to fall for him. we worked together on worksheets and on projects (though admittedly, we weren't the best pair, as we had a tendency to get off topic) and i remember the moment i gave up, knowing i had a crush on him. i had just finished helping him with an assignment and was going back to my desk, he looked up at me and said thanks. i waved it off- i'm sort of used to people taking advantage of me for projects and stuff and getting nothing but a polite thanks. but he didn't stop there, he looked up at me and said "no, seriously, thanks, i would've failed this if you weren't here." our buses were next to each other as well so we'd walk each other to our buses after school, since health was last period. health class became my favorite. we had a way of making each other laugh and (this sounds cheesy) we'd stare into each other's eyes under the guise of a staring contest. everyone would tease us about it and shipped us incessantly. it was kind of funny. i began to pick up hints that he liked me too, but i just wasn't sure. finally, i worked up the courage to tell him how i felt on may 19, spitting it out as we walked to our buses. he stared at me awkwardly, said thanks, patted my head, and then ran away. 6 hours later when i had resolved to never speak to another human being ever again he finally texted me- "I like you too " i wasn't really ready for a relationship, so i don't know why i even said something, but he really got it. we didn't really go on any 'dates' so to speak, but we're both okay with our relationship. our health class actually kind of rioted when they found out we were together. it was hilarious. there were plenty of cute moments, but this is getting long anyway so ill stop ranting.

Well, he's not my boyfriend... yet buttttt
We met about a week ago, Friday the 16th, at this LGI course. I was one of the only candidates there who wasn't there because their boss was making them, therefore I was the only one there who didn't have a friend from her pool. I was in my own little world, concentrating on doing well and being on my own, that I didn't notice this guy who had been checking me out, as I later found out.
Anyway, at the end of this first day, we were asking some administrative questions about the next two days. The two of us were on the same topic, but we just learned that we each needed to present the topic, so our instructor goes "Who's will be better?" Immediately he answered, "Mine will be." and looked over at me with a smirk. Having been fairly quiet for most of the day and not one to be messed with, I blurted out an "excuse you" to which two of the girls I was working with laughed and said "you go girl". Anyway, it became a competition for the two of us but it was friendly and nice.
On the last day, after passing I'm an LGI, I can teach people to be lifeguards now a group of us exchanged numbers and we were going to go out to hang out and celebrate. I ended up not going because I was exhausted after they decided to change locations. He'd texted me and another girl at the same time so we could have his number and I'd told him that I would text him later. I got home and forgot, so he texted me later that on.
That same day, after knowing me for three short days, he asked me out and we've been hardcore flirting through text all week. We've set up our date for this week and I'm honestly so excited.
But that's my story; it's still going and I guess we'll see after this date.
