Semi long confusing rant warning
I broke down in front of one of my professors today due to their abysmal understanding of my accommodations (extended test time).
They offered the entire class extended time if students came in early. I was considering this option, but I had other things to do. My professor got angry for not using my accommodations (when I possibly didn't need to anyways) by not coming in early and blamed me, saying "I'm undermining my success", and, being on the verge of tears, I was practically forced to reschedule a test for extended time when I was ready to take it without. :/
I'm angry, anxious, and confused because I'm not sure if this is my fault or I'm wrong for not communicating properly. The whole ordeal made me feel like a bad guy and a piece of crap.
I don't think I will be to face them again in conversation without crying. I hate my autism.
Anybody else want to rant about their autism or just autism in general?

That's not your fault. The teacher needs to understand and respect your accommodations.

Ooh here's my favorite one: acting /looking "normal" so then your pretty much ignored by the special Ed teachers and then not getting a 504 in college because I was dcared of taking a psych evaluation and being told that I don't have a disability. Yay. Also that sucks "Acting normal" can really suck because some people will think you are making up excuses when you actually have legit underlying difficulties with everything. Thanks rainleaf and bleak

High school does really suck. Although I was fortunate to have access to proper help in hs.
I think my professor thinks that I must have extended time on every test, like it's a requirement. Usually I don't need it.

You know what's best for you, though?? Like if you don't need extended time, you don't need it, so like why waste both your and the proffesers time if you don't want it?

I guess I can share what happened today.
I was about to bike across the road when this entitled woman honked her horn at me. The noise startled me, and I didn't see the truck about to move perpendicular to me. I barely managed to stop my bike (the truck stopped, but it almost hit me), but I fell off it and scraped my knees. My body went into adrenaline mode and I suddenly felt very angry, but when I was walking to the cafeteria, I suddenly felt panic set in. I went through my rituals and managed to avoid a panic attack, and I determined the trigger was the horn combined with the sensation of pain.
I sometimes think if I weren't autistic, that this wouldn't have happened. I wouldn't be so jumpy with noises.
But, I can't imagine being allistic either. It is a foreign concept.

The teacher is a frickin moron >:[
But this wouldn't be the first time I heard of a school/teacher being insensitive.
My brothers had to deal with my high school giving them UNQUALIFIED "AIDS". Like I'm not even joking, they assigned the FREAKING FOOTBALL COACH as one of my brother's aid. And guess what, my brother ended up smacking him and the COACH FREAKING TRIED TO SUE MY BROTHER FOR ASSAULT CHARGES!!! My junior year of high school was completed tainted by the fear of losing my brother all because of one ignorant, untrained, [cat]!! And then when they stuck his freaking photo on the wall as "staff of the month" I wanted to rip it off the wall and tear it apart in front of a security camera and flip it off afterward because of what that [son of a biscuit] did to my family!
