Sparrowclan (OLD PAGE - PLEASE COME SEE US AT OUR NEW PAGE)

"It's just on the right past a couple trees and in an abandoned badger hole just outside Sparrowclan camp", Dapple explained as she pawed at the dirt before getting distracted in it and writing words and random things that came to her mind.


"Okay", she grinned sniffing the air and sensing a stronger aroma of mice closer to camp "I can smell two or three over here" she flicked her tail in the direction of a large pile of leaves with the occasional rustle. "You two try and catch the ones that try to escape", she whispered as she got into her hunting stance with her body almost pressed against the floor with her tail pointing upwards as she signalled for Silverpaw and Jadepaw to surround the other sides. As she got closer to the pile of leaves her ears twitches before she paused. Then she leapt forward. Her claws pinned down a mouse finishing it before racing to help Jadepaw and Silverpaw with the other mice.


As Brindlekit came crashing into him he giggled "Oh no you've caught me!", he sighed slightly sarcastically as he got up with Brindlekit on his back.

"It was the only home I could find", she sighed as she continued drawing random cats in the ground as her tail curved around her body "But it's got enough prey around the area to feed me"

Mistyfur nodded at Sootstripe as he glanced over. She then settled down to wait until Sootstripe had it sorted out.

"Yeah I'll make sure I stay off Sparrowclan territory and I guess I should get going now", she explained as she slowly started padding away off to her den her tail trailing behind her.



"Great job you two!", cheered Adderpaw "You two were great!" she then slowly started to lower her body down to the ground as she dipped her head and picked up the mouse in her mouth.

Jadepaw pressed her jaws together to hide a smile, but her eyes sparkled. "I heard this strange crash while we were hunting; must've just been someone's paws," she teased, though in all honesty, she had looked away just after he fell and was rather impressed that Silverpaw had managed to catch the mouse after all. "I'd call this a good hunt!" She purred, glancing at her two companions. "Three cats, probably twice that much prey if you count what we all caught earlier."

"Me too," Sootstripe sighed, his eyes not leaving Dapple until the she-cat was safely out of sight. "We should probably let Sparrowstar know," he remarked.

Silverpaw smiled. "Thanks!" Then he hesitated at Jadepaw's words. "Yeah, my paws hit the ground pretty hard to give it the death blow.. I think we all did good," he smiled warmly. "Our mentors will be proud." He whiffed the air to scent a nearby bird flock "Hey-" He said, looking over his shoulder at the other two cats. "Want to try getting those?" Silverpaw offered, "Adderpaw can pounce the birds in on either sides and Jadepaw can wait in the tree above them so if a few fly up she can get them!" The sleek tom bounced happily. "Come on, it'll be great!" 

Mistyfur nodded, smileing slightly. "Yes. It has, hasn't it." She purred quietly to herself.

Silverpaw nodded excitedly before stalking over quietly to one side of the flock, careful not to step on any broken twigs for fall again. He appeared on the opposite side of Adderpaw and looked over the fern he was hiding behind to see if she was there. He looked directly above the birds to see Jadepaw hanging close to them. He nodded to her and shuffled his paws underneath him to give a good pounce.

Silverpaw raised his tail so the cats could see it. His blue eyes locked onto the flock and flicked his tail to them once, twice and a third time before leaping on top of two birds. They cracked underneath his body weight. As most of the birds started to fly away he leapt into the air and swatted a plumper bird down to the ground. He placed a paw on its chest and sunk his teeth into its throat, killing it quickly. He watched as the layer of surviving birds started to rise to the skies, unknowing of Jadepaw hiding there. Silverpaw sent a look to Adderpaw to see how she was doing. "Adderpaw get these!" He said, flinging himself to a low tree branch and propelling off to knock a few birds out of the air onto the ground for Adderpaw to kill. 

Jadepaw grinned widely as several of the displaced birds flapped rapidly toward her tree, hoping to find shelter in its branches. The she-cat ducked back slightly, careful to keep her tabby pelt hidden among the leaves, where the light brown could pass for bark and strips of sunlight. She waited, her legs aching to pounce, but forced herself to stay silent and still, silent and still, until—the birds flapped into range, and Jadepaw shot forward, balancing precariously on the trunk as she swiped at the nearest one, then the next, sending them wheeling back to the ground where she hoped one of the other apprentices would finish them off.

Sootstripe chuckled and nodded his agreement. As the camp came into view, he felt an odd pang of regret despite his exhaustion. "There's camp," he remarked lamely.

"Sootstripe quickened his pace as they slipped through the camp entrance, the grassy edges brushing his thick pelt. "Hopefully Sparrowstar is in her den," he remarked, leading the way toward the large, ivy-covered boulder near the center of camp. He stopped outside it, waiting for Mistyfur.

Silverpaw swatted down a couple more until there were none in their reach. He looked around at the bird massacre on the ground. "Good job!" He said to both of them with a smile. "Hmm.." He tried to stuff his mouth with them but spit them out instead. "How are we going to bring all of them back?"
