Were these two littermates?
I just assumed they were because they were both white with tabby markings. (Softwing was white with brown mackerel tabby patches and Whitefang was white with brown paws and a tabby tail)
I was trying to figure out who their parents were when I started to wonder if they were even littermates to begin with.
I think if they are littermates that maybe Marshcloud or Mudthorn is their father as for who their mother could be I don't know...though it would be interesting if Fallowtail was their mother...maybe Lilystem is their mother.

Yeah I think they were- cause if I remember correctly, they were made warriors around the same time (they were apprentices when Crookedstar left the clan and then were both warriors when he came back). Plus Crookedstar was only gone for a moon or so.
But yeah, maybe Lilystem. I always wondered what other RiverClan relations were.

I always believed that Tanglewhisker and Birdsong were their parents. I assumed that they became elders after their kits became apprentices.

I also thought so too.
As for other relations, I headcanoned Lakeshine and Rainflower as littermates. Maybe Hailstar and Shellheart?

Marshcloud is probably mistake for Timberfur as both look the same and were shown to do the same thing in TR, and TR already refered to Brightsky as Nightsky. As for Mudthorn, I think he was just some weird mistake on editor's part.
I think they are Birdsong's as she is tabby and white as well.

I believe it was confirmed somewhere that Marshcloud was a different cat. He is listed as Fallowtail and Cederpelt's littermate.

The only confirmation we got is Marshcloud being in the dark forest as far as I know. |

Nightsky is the only one I think is a mistake. There isn't any reason why Mudthorn and Marshcloud couldn't be actual warriors. They both could have died before Crookedstar and Oakheart were born.

I think Marsh was mistake because he looked exactly like Cedarpelt, his sister was Fallowtail and he was shown to do the same thing as Cedarpelt in preview of CP in TR, and since there was already Nightsky in TR, it isn't hard to believe that it is a mistake. |
