Did ya miss me?
Yeah so most of you probably remember me. And if you don't, well, I don't blame you.
Still Doesong, although I contemplated changing my name.
This is all sort of a shock to me. A month ago, my brother got married, so for several weeks prior I had to log off to get ready out of state guests and wrapping stuff up before-hand. I lost the password to the email account I had linked to the old forums, so I didn't see all of the emails about the closing down coming through. So a couple of days ago I tried to access the old forums and it wouldn't let me on but I just figured it was my internet service, which totally stinks, by the way. So I typed it in the internet about why it wasn't working and read this whole story on why it shut down.
So I created this new account on here because I missed it. And my friends. I've turned into a cliche marshmallow lately.
Anyways, how are you guys?

Hey Doe! I remember ya, I was GalantisCat on the old forums. Glad you've found your way here- when WCF closed, I feared a lot of people who were on hiatus wouldn't be able to find this place when they came back.
I've been ok. I haven't been on forums as much as usual- there's been some drama lately and right now OTD has been shut down. But yeah, I'm good.

Hey Doe! I remember ya, I was GalantisCat on the old forums. Glad you've found your way here- when WCF closed, I feared a lot of people who were on hiatus wouldn't be able to find this place when they came back. I've been ok. I haven't been on forums as much as usual- there's been some drama lately and right now OTD has been shut down. But yeah, I'm good. Aww Galantis I didn't know it was you! *hugs* I was kind of wondering how come did find it after it all shut down. Bad timing for me, I guess. What kind of drama? I tried getting on OTD earlier and couldn't so I was wondering. I'm glad that at least there is a second forum to go on to. How many of the others transferred? |

I wasn't on much when it all happened, so I've heard multiple stories, but I guess the OTD just got really toxic for a good week and when a lot of people were frustrated that people weren't being punished for this or that insult, and eventually a group of people messaged Tomo complaining about the lack of control by the mods- and he sorta rage-quitted and shut OTD down for 24 hours. So a lot of people were frustrated that no one did anything when people misbehaved, but when they complained about the mods they did something. But on the other hand people were angry that there had been fighting pre-mod drama in the first place and were more angry at other forumers than the mods- and there were some scuffles between the two groups. But eh, long story short as far as I could tell, a good 10 people or more have left, and a lot of people are thinking of leaving. But at the same time other people are trying to repair the damage and make OTD positive again. Needless to say this whole thing has been a huge pain in the rear and just be glad you didn't see it ^^" But yeah, I'm glad you're here- and hopefully things can settle down enough for the forums to be pleasant again (or at least tolerable  ) |

I can cope with tolerable I'm actually surprised the Cats isn't as active as I thought it was. You know, I was THIS > < Close to changing my name but I decided against it. I didn't have any ideas haha. Yeah... to be honest, there was a pretty big drama event about a week or two before the WCF closed, specifically on The Cats, and that resulted in one or two main people being banned. The Cats struggled to recover and then a week later, when the anouncement of the forum's closure was announced, several people revealed who their banned accounts were and pretty and it turned into a bloodbath- and The Cats soon became a ghost-town the last week of WCF. Now that the new forums have been made, The Cats has had it's hills and valleys. It was initially pretty inactive still, despite the return of banned members- then they hit a discussion spike with the release of Thunder and Shadow and it was pretty talkative for a good week or so- faced another inactive spell, and now funnily enough all the OTD drama drew some new people over there that have now become regulars and The Cats is now active again. So surely enough, through everything it's been through somehow The Cats has survived ^^" |
