...Because of everything that is going on. But I have a suggestion.
Anyway, I've been spending some time on the Dragon Cave forum and I noticed a section that could be useful. It's called Ask-the-Mods. Each moderator created a topic and on that topic people could ask fun questions to get to know them better. Fun questions like "What do you like to do on a rainy day?" and "What is your favorite ice cream flavor?" Stuff like that. They also made a note that mod related questions should go in FAQs, Suggestions, or taken up over PM.
I think that having a board like that would improve mods-forumer relationships. We could all get to know the mods a little better and see what we both enjoy doing.
I also noticed that the topics were answered in the mods 'free time'. If they weren't busy in other parts of the forum they'd come there and answer questions.

For future reference, threads like this should be posted in F&S. I love this idea, but the Staff do not have much free time and have work to do. There would be tons of threads and people would get upset if a Mod did not go to a thread. Great idea, but I don't think it's worth a section on the forums. You can always PM them your question.

Oops. Posted it the wrong thread. And the mods are the ones who post the topics and the questions from the forumers are in the comments.

I understand, but if people do not get their question answered, they will more than likely get upset. The last thing we need is more users upset. Just my opinion.

I feel like that would be a good idea provided it were optional, so any mod who wanted to participate could do so (versus it being mandatory). If it were to happen, the threads could be posted in the Forum Games section.
I think it'd be better to have a public thread open, because one on one with staff can be intimidating for people. It'd also be more likely to stop repeats from happening, and keep from clogging up the staff member's inbox with trivial things when Serious Things would also be sent to them via PM.
And if the forumers like the responses the mods give in the public thread, they could always PM them separately to pursue a friendship as opposed to just gaining general knowledge from the questions on the public thread (where it's impersonal).

What is also a potential problem is that people may not use the thread for its intended purpose.

i don't see a problem with it. it'd be a bit like the 'ask the erins' section, except for the mods. i'll wait and see what the others think about it I'm all for it!

that seems like a good idea. it's been established that not everyone here feels 100% comfortable with some of the staff. this could help members understand and grow a little closer to the mods/admins and help patch up the gap between us.

I think this would be pretty cool. I'd love to ask the staff random trivial questions.

Just an update on the suggestion, it has been approved, but we're trying to figure out how to do it. Having one thread is disorganized and & having it own board is weird

Maybe have one stickied thread per mod who wishes to participate? Just a thought.

That can be up to 8 stickied threads. I was thinking of making it a subsection of OTD with a noticed that sometimes we don't see posts, even if we've been tagged so if it's been awhile since you posted it, just re-tag them to prevent some people from getting hurt if the person after them got their questions answered and they didn't

> General Discussion > Staff > "Ask ______" > Current & Resolved Issues > Staff Intros/Information
Would help, imo Only thing I could see is the "issues" but that could be a locked thread or removed entirely. I figured it would enforce that the staff are actually working on it since other users think the staff is doing nothing

--Its own board section seems excessive --Multiple threads for staff members somewhere, like the forum games board, would clutter up the existing board --A group thread would also be cluttered, and hard for mods to find individual questions aimed at them, and etc I think 🆉🅴🅻🅳🆁🅸🆂 has a really good idea, because it might have its own little sub board thing but there are multiple uses for that board so it's not like. excessive or particularly unnecessary. i hope this is implemented soon!!
