In light of this thread wcrpforums.com/thread/11744/interesting-update I decided to make a Thistleheart headcanon.
Thistleheart dissapeared for most of the series after debuting in Dark River and then returned to die in The Last Hope. Ignoring the fact this always happens to the clans I like the idea of Thistleheart being Windclan Hollyleaf. Thistleheart is halfclan. Her father is Beechfur of Riverclan and her mother is Gorsetail. Windclan from what we have seen is way more strict about the first code than Thunderclan and is more likely to ostracize their members for breaking it. Thunderclan will be annoyed and kinda rude but eventually they get over it. Windclan never forgave Crowfeather for running off with Leafpool. Suppose the secret got out to Thistleheart and her sisters. Perhaps Thistleheart went off the deep end like Hollyleaf, told the entirety of Windclan the secret, and left for awhile due to social preasures. Due to Windclan's strict culture she could have been willing to leave at a young age. Then she returned to be redeemed and died in battle like Hollyleaf.
Its fun to think background characters have a life.
