So apparently Kate just recently confirmed that Thistleheart, a cat mentioned by WindClan to have died in the battle with the dark forest, was in fact Thistlepaw- the second sister of Sedgewhisker, who disappeared from the allegiances after Sunrise and we all assumed to have died or something, even though nothing was ever confirmed.
... And that's quite odd. I mean, I've always known that the Erins don't keep complete allegiances of the other clans, just to save space... but I've never heard of the Erins taking a cat off the allegiances, not having it on there for an entire series and not even mentioned once, and then all of a sudden they remember her again and, even though never on the allegiances, was mentioned as someone who died in the battle...
Sorry, I'm just sitting here baffled how the Erin's memory suddenly increased by 90%. Maybe they do keep a decent record of cats after all...
... unless the confirmation was completely random and Kate actually had no idea who either Thistlepaw or Thistleheart were. Thistlepaw never did anything after the tunnel experience as a kit, unless Kate vaguely remembers her being on the allegiances for a few books. Plus, how the heck does Kate know who Thistleheart is? Cherith wrote Bramblestar's Storm, and everyone knows Kate knows very little about books she doesn't write- unless it's the main series. But special editions she didn't write? Nope, not a clue.
... So I don't know, maybe I'm just being a pessimist, but I honestly think this was kinda random. Not nearly as bad as what happened with Vicky and that fan, but you know what I mean.
Random or not though, it's nice to know Thistlepaw lived a bit longer than we thought. She would have been about Foxleap and Icecloud's age.
