The entire ending of The Last Hope. There was so much potential for it to be a good conclusion to the series, but it ended up being rushed. Lets hope A Vision of Shadows becomes a fulfilling conclusion to the series.

Honestly I'd have each arc be from a different clan's perspective, or at least have more books from each clan.

if i could change one thing, it'd be that i'd want tigerclaw killing redtail to remain a mystery in the books until forest of secrets when he's about to kill bluestar.
because to me, knowing he did it all along just kind of ruined the books in a way - like i didn't really have any emotional connection to him or the clan, when he's exposed as a killer like....it just didn't really matter, we all knew all along so it didn't have an emotional connection for me. and plus it'd just work more, to see fireheart like tigerclaw and maybe look up to him, to hold himself to a similar standard as tigerclaw when he became deputy
i just think that would have been a better thing honestly, it would have made for a better story.

So many things in TLH but one idea I think would have been nice is if the battle against the DF had been through the POV of multiple characters from all the clans, well known or background characters. Then we could see what was happening in each camp, who they had to face and so on. Background characters could have had a bit of fleshing out had this been done nicely.

This. And maybe some pitiful but realistic way to die on screen like choking on a bone while sharing prey with the clan. Can you imagine how shocking that would be? Of course I think many people would hate this kind of death because it has no meaning but not every death needs to be elaborate and meaningful. Kind of the same with Honeyfern's death. I know many people on here don't like it because they think it was pointless but you know how surprised I was when it happened? It was sad but I had the same rush I had when reading the OS. Anything could happen. I'm not a big fan of characters just being killed off for pure shock value, but more characters do need to die during bigger threats. For example, why did no cat die of dehydration when the beavers blocked the lake? I agree. The Clan was huge at that point. I also wish cats had died during the battle in Eclipse. |

My god yes, Ashfur to the Dark Forest. I also agree that Thistleclaw could do well in StarClan, given the chance. After all, he blamed Bluestar for Snowfur's death, correct? I'm sure Snowfur could set him straight c:
A P.O.V from WindClan would be great! Or RiverClan! As horrible as Onestar seems now that he's leader, it'd be nice to have some insight into WindClan. Maybe he has a few problems? Frankly, an entire arc for any clan except ThunderClan would be nice.
Oooh, or Hollyleaf not running away into the rock tunnels! She could have stayed in ThunderClan and had to overcome the fact that she wasn't one of the three, and that Dovewing was. Personally, I think Hollyleaf could have been a better mentor for Dovewing than Lionblaze. Or even Hollyleaf for Ivypool's mentor. Two cats who have siblings as part of a big prophecy? I'm pretty sure they could lean on each other for support c:
No more female medicine cats falling in love with a tom, especially from another clan. It's overdone. Yellowfang, Spottedleaf (not technically, but still), Leafpool. Ick. I'm sure there's more. A male medicine cat struggling with his love for a female warrior within his clan would be a nice change of view. It could even go the way of 'I'm not pregnant, I don't need to worry', or even disregarding them entirely. So many reversed gender happenings would be nice ;-;

OR THE CATS FOLLOWING THEIR DANG CODE FOR ONCE DANG IT, THEY REVOLVE AROUND THAT CODE LIKE WE DO THE LAW, YET THEY'RE STUPID ENOUGH TO BREAK IT ON A REGULAR BASIS.

This is probably a huge nitpick that some might disagree with, but I hate Moon- being used. I wish they'd change Moonflower's name. It's supposed to be sacred, just like how "Star" is never used except with leaders.

The Dark Forest cats being able to come back to the real world. And StarClan cats being able to double die??
Close second is Yellowfang telling Squirrelflight she couldn't have kits. (Firestar being the fourth is also on my list, but I think the first would cancel it out. Or the second.)
