To me, fellow pokemon fans! (*spoilers for sun&moon*)

Sun! I decided back before even the legendaries were released that I would get Sun because it was more likely to have Ho-Oh postgame while Moon was more likely to have Lugia postgame (of course they might not have those two but if they do then I want Ho-Oh!) and I was willing to bank on it having version exclusives that I'd like more than Moon's

both legendaries are cool and...honestly the two Lycanrocs just make me think of Alpha and Omega and edgy Sonic fanart...but I like Passimian more than Oranguru so that's convenient

current team plan: starter (Popplio if leak was real, likely Litten if leak was fake), Vikavolt, Togodemaru, Raichu (Alolan or not--however that'll work), Salandit, maybe Pikipek/Passimian/Wimpod?

I am fully prepared to suffer the consequences of having three Electric types on my team

and as much as I (still) complain about Alola forms*, the Raichu is still adorable and I found out about it about half an hour after telling my friend I wanted Alola to have a cute Electric/Psychic type so...

*the gist of it is: cool/cute forms, won't ruin the game for me, but it just feels weird to do the redesign in an actual main series game...? I complain more than I actually dislike the idea, but although I dislike it a lot less than I originally did, I'm still not a fan of that at this point

I actually think it would be really cool if someone made a game where the shiny palette was the normal palette for each Pokémon and they all had types more suited to the coloration of the shiny (examples Poison/Dragon Garchomp, Water/Ground Nidoking, Psychic/Poison or Water/Poison Toxicroak, Electric/Ice Lucario, Grass/Steel Skarmory...) I don't think it would work as a REAL game but like the way Glazed is a thing...so obviously I have no place to complain about the Alola form thing...this was a dream I had with Poison/Dragon Garchomp it was pretty cool

Oh, those leaks! Honestly, I'm quite disappointed with them if they are real. I mean, I don't dislike the starters by any means, but goodness, what a waste of potential! Especially with Litten. Does every single fire starter have to be a bipedal wrestler? They could have made it an awesome giant tiger who breathes fire like a dragon! But nope, little adorable cute kitten who spits fireballs turns into a wrestling, anthro cat who doesn't even spit or breathe fire anymore... But I don't mind Rowlet's final evo, that's quite nice, but Popplio's is a bit too feminine and odd to me.. even though I will use it, and it's quite pretty. But I was expecting something else.

I see Lycanroc's moon form as a sort of skin-walker werewolf hybrid. It looks like it's even wearing it's pre-evo's pelt on its back as a mane! Also, I think it's name is pretty cool, Lycan- for lycanthropy (werewolf syndrome in fantasy lore) and roc for rocks, of course! But Sun Lycanroc still appeals to me a bit more, mostly because I love wolves xD

Oh! Passimian and Oranguru are some of my favorite Sun and Moon mons so far! Oranguru is my favorite, though. Raichu is one of my favorite pokemon, and it's new form isn't really my favorite. But I accept it xD

I do have higher hopes for the next generations, though. Since they're coming out with such unique and awesome ideas, who knows what might come next! I'm really hoping for a spain inspired region, maybe a bull fire starter inspired by those clay bull figures you can get as souveiners there... That would be amazing.

well, a few months ago some 'concept' art leaked online of the final starter evolutions. These weren't really believed to be true until a character drawn in one of the concept arts was released in a recent trailer. It's uncanny, and it would be a huge coincedence if these leaks weren't real. The leaks can be easily found on google if you look up 'pokemon sun and moon starter final evolutions'. Litten turns into a bipedal wrestler who makes flames erupt from his belt buckle and doesn't spit fire or anything anymore, Popplio turns into a mermaid/siren type thing with a super long pony tail, and Rowlet turns into an archer/assassin with a hood and a bow and arrow built into its wing.

Sun is set at midday and Moon at midnight though right? maybe that just means the climax but that was how I understood it

I'm getting sun. I haven't decided between popplio and litten, because I'm crossing my fingers that the leaks aren't real. I'm so hyped for these games that I have an entire excel spreadsheet of all the Pokemon released/confirmed for sun and moon and I've got Hawaiian names for almost all of them.

I don't think it's been confirmed. Some people are theorising that Moon will be set 12 hours ahead of the DS click, which I'm hoping will happen. Can't see it being a set time, seeing as people hated that about RSE, if I recall.
