(Sure! Here's a few starters:)
Littlebrook gave her thick fur a shake, dislodging some snow that clung to her back after her morning patrol. She slipped back into camp, sighing softly. Hopefully the snow would melt; with the river frozen. it was getting harder and harder to hunt.
Nettlesplash laid half inside the warriors' den, watching the snow fall outside without much to do. She tried to keep warm as much as possible. conserving her energy for when she would be needed most.
Featherpaw was fast asleep in his nest, having gone on the dawn patrol earlier and been permitted a nap before his usual training. His whiskers twitched occassionally as he slept, thick tail draped over his nose to keep it warm. Fluffpaw shook snow from her fur and groaned with annoyance as Diamondheart quickly groomed her fur. The deputy gave a small chuckle as she snorted. “I can groom myself!” “Oi! Nettlesplash!” Orchidnight called to her clanmate, her dark fur fluffed up against the cold. “Come join my ice patrol. We’re gonna check how frozen the rivers and streams are.” She called, glancing behind her as Foxripple waited.

Nettlesplash chuckled at Orchidnight's call, standing up and giving her fur a quick shake before trotting over. "Sure. Though, we're so deep in leafbare now they're all sure to be frozen solid. I wonder if you could cross the river by just walking on the ice?" she mused, making her way over to where the ice patrol was gathering.
Littlebrook purred at the sight of Diamondheart grooming her apprentice, shaking her head. Fluffpaw was quite the independent apprentice already, she could see why she'd be embarrassed at having her mother groom her like a kit. "Good morning," she greeted, making her way over to the pair. (Cough cough father XD ) Orchidnight nodded quickly, her voice firm yet agreeing. "I suppose the only way to find out is to look ourselves. If anything, we could find places to break the ice and fish from there. But if not, we'll have to start hunting on land more." "Ugh. As if we're Thunderclan cats." Foxripple hummed with clear teasing and disdain. Diamondheart looked up and nodded a greeting to Littlebrook, watching as Fluffpaw quickly rushed to her mentor's side once she was freed from her father's grooming. The deputy mewed. "Planning on taking her for training? Keep an eye out for any ice, understand?" He warned.

(Whoops pfft)
Nettlesplash chuckled at Foxripple's disdain. "C'mon, doesn't it sound just a little fun?" she asked, her soft voice tinged with curiosity. "Slippery, though. I bet it would be pretty hard to walk across solid ice." She flicked her thick-furred tail, following the rest of the patrol toward the camp's entrance.
Littlebrook offered the deputy a smile. "Don't worry, Diamondheart, we're steering clear of the river for a while, at least while it's frozen," she replied. "There's not much we can do without being able to swim or fish, anyway. I think we'll go over some hunting forms today, see if we can catch anything."

"As fun as freezing my tail off to catch mice and voles." Foxripple snorted, though he lightened up quickly at Nettlesplash's positive outlook. The long-furred tom flicked his tail as he eyed the two she-cats with a smooth and rich voice. "Do be careful if you walk on ice, I'd hate to see either of you fall in." Orchidnight rolled her eyes at the flirtatious tom, and looked at Nettlesplash. "We'll keep off the ice farther out." She nodded shortly, agreeing that falling in would be an unfavored event. She motioned for the patrol to follow her out of camp. Diamondheart nodded in approval. "Good luck. I know Fluffpaw will be much more skilled with the snow for her to blend in with." He purred. He stood and nodded. "I best continue organizing the other patrols." Fluffpaw looked at her mentor, hiding her disappointment at not being able to swim, but knowing better than to complain in front of her father.

Nettlesplash stifled a shy giggle at Foxripple's warning, flicking her tail. "Oh, I don't think I'll be trying it this time around. I'd be much too scared of falling through the ice to actually walk across it, I think," she assured, following Orchidnight out of camp. (To the border page?)
Littlebrook nidded her head as Diamondheart left to organize his patrols, turning back to Fluffpaw. "Well, you heard your father. Now would be a good time to shie you hiw you can improve your stealth, especially when it comes to hunting and tracking enemy patrols," she meowed. "My darker fur blends much better in leaf-fall, when the ground is covered in brown and orange leaves, but you'll be at your stealthiest when it snows, like it is now. Think of it like hiding in plain sight."

(We can probably stay on here, I have too many tabs open and I gtg soon XD ) “It’s certainly not something I want to see.” Orchidnight shuddered at the thought, as Foxripple padded near Nettlesplash’s side, his eyes gleaming with humor. “Don’t worry. I’ll save you both if you fall in.” Fluffpaw fluffed her thick pelt proudly, her blue eyes gleaming as she nodded. “Of course! I’ve already snuck up on a few cats in camp. I bet I could hide in plain sight real easy.”

(lol okay! Also now I'm just imagining Fluffpaw scaring the other apprentices by jumping out of the snow at them haha)
Nettlesplash stifled a laugh. "Oh? Well, that would be brave of you if it ever did happen," she replied, tilting her head at Foxripple in an almost coy manner. "I would hope that any RiverClan cat that fell in the river would be able to save themselves, though, wouldn't you agree? Swimming is our specialty, after all."
Littlebrook raised a brow at this, deciding to keep that information in mind in case Fluffpaw decided to pin her as a future target. "Well, the only way to know for sure is to see it in action," she replied, heading for the camp entrance. "I'll teach you some tricks for keeping silent in the snow and tracking prey even when it's hard to find, then maybe we can try applying those skills to battle."

No shame in that. I simply would desire to be a good clanmate and help you if you were ever harmed.” Foxripple mused with a hum of humor. He eyed Nettlesplash before Orchidnight interrupted with a snort. “If you’re done flirting with every cat that breathes, we’re just about there.” She reminded. Fluffpaw flicked her tail with anticipation at that. “I’m ready for anything, as always. If the snow works for me, then I clearly should take advantage of it.” She nodded.

Nettlesplash giggled softly at Orchidnight's commentary, flashing Foxripple a cheeky glance before picking up her pace to approach the river. The snow crunched softly under her light pawsteps, and her brown coloring and dark stripes stood up starkly once they'd left the cover of the forest overhead. She shivered slightly as an unhindered breeze blew across the river. "Good to see the cold isn't going anywhere," she sighed in slight disappointment. "I hope it warms up soon."
Littlebrook nodded her agreement, pawsteps leaving tracks in the snow as she led the way out of camp. "Yes, and you'll be sure to blend in physically with the snow. The hard part is keeping silent," she reiterated. "Timing your pawsteps to the noise of the forest, keeping your steps light and as quiet as possible, and of course, keeping downwind of your opponents or potential prey. The key for this training exercise is silence and stealth, and it's part of what makes hunting in leafbare so difficult, aside from the prey taking shelter underground. Snow is louder to walk on than grass, which bends under your paws. It crunches no matter how you walk, but you can mitigate some of that noise with careful, light-footed movements."

Ice coated a good portion of the water, spreading out across. She grumbled. “Well that’s just lovely. It’s not fully frozen yet but it certainly isn’t melted.” Fluffpaw listened intently, soaking in each word with careful focus and thought. She looked at her large paws and frowned. “I’m not very small though. How can I have light pawsteps?”

"Looks like we won't be doing any fishing anytime soon," Nettlesplash sighed, pawing at the ice with a frown. "Even if there was still ice in the middle, we could at least fish if the banks were thawed. Guess we'll have to wait a bit longer, huh?"
"Size will have some affect on how quietly you're able to move, but there are things you can do to give yourself an edge. For example, moving forward one paw at a time, and putting weight on it gradually rather than all at once. That way you make a consistently small amount of noise that blends in with the background noise of the forest. Watch how I walk," Littlebrook explained, dropping into a practiced hunter's crouch. She moved forward, letting her pawsteps sink into the snow slowly so the crunching noise wasn't too obvious. With the wind overheard causing the trees to shake, the ambient noise covered up her movements some.

Hi all! I honestly don't have an excuse for the inactivity besides having no motivation and being busy. I graduate in about and month and a half and have work on top of it all, so it kills any of my motivation to come on here. I'm on spring break now, so I'll try and come on more.)

Poor Fluffpaw is still out. Well, she is mentored by a senior warrior after all.” Bubblepaw nodded, moving to crouch low and swing her paws, scooping them into a strong tripping move.
