”Yeah I know just give me one more moment to itch.” Reedleaf responded as he kept itching even though his paws were even redder now before taking a break for a couple seconds before going to start itch again even though he said he’d stop but he was so itchy he couldn’t help it@moonblazer “You’re gonna claw your skin off, fish-brain.” Jaggedfang complained, nudging his friend as he tried to get him to stop itching himself too much. He nodded towards the medicine den. “Come on, up, you big lug. I bet we can have you sit in one of the puddles in camp too. It might soothe them.” “I’m not a fish-brain but fine I’m going I’m going” Reedleaf got up slowly before walking still clearly itchy and wanting to scratch but he knew he couldn’t with Jaggedfang watching him he grumbled as he did though clearly still sleepy and very itchy

Reedleaf’s got a bad case of an itch on his legs. And probably a bunch of bruises from all the other antics he’s been up to.” He snorted, a hint of humor filling in his gruff voice as he explained.

hello, I finally have a day off so I can rp a bit today ) (Ayyy!) Owlwhisker laughed brightly as he allowed his kits to cling to his back and ride around on their first badger ride. While still young, he could tell they were more than adventurous. Even quiet little Pondkit was giggling excitedly. Diamondheart sought out Sproutpaw, wanting to get some training in before Earthstar returned with Alder later in the evening.

Iriskit squealed with delight as she held onto Owlwhisker's back. "Faster! Faster!"
Sapkit's eyes were wide as he held on tightly to his father's fur. It was so scary being up so high, but he could see so much!
Littleshadow watched nearby, a constant low purr rumbling out of the queen as she watched her mate and kits play.
Sproutpaw was near the nursery, watching his new kin play with a grin. He vaguely remembered his first badger ride on Sharpthorn's back, Tinypool looking almost exactly like her younger sister sitting nearby.

Diamondheart gave a soft smile as he approached his Clanmates. He swept over towards Sproutpaw, humoring. “Looks like the kits are having a great time. If you’re thinking about your first badger ride, I still remember mine.” His muzzle quirked as he chuckled. “Rain liked to carry me around on her back as she weaved through the reeds. I liked to try and hit the cattails.” He recalled, missing the former leader who had named him dearly. He humored. “Your mother liked to make me find shells in the deepest parts of the river when she was finishing my training. Sometimes I pulled up a river crab.”

Quietpaw grumbled as he went up to Jaggedfang. Surely a warrior could handle a simple itch on his leg. It wasn't like he was dying or anything. But by all means come bother him! He sighed. "An itch? I need you to be more specific." An itch on the legs didn't give him much to go by. It could be practically anything at that point. He stepped aside, giving them space to fully come in. "Come in." “He’s got scratches and marks running up his legs, probably from his blunder into the river from a branch he told me about.” Jaggedfang mewed pointedly, looking at Reedleaf and sighing. “They’re puffy and red. I know that’s not normal, he’s too stubborn to come here himself, so I had to drag him.” He looked at Quietpaw and dipped his head. “Can you take a look?”

Sproutpaw turned to look at Diamondheart with awe, he always loved hearing stories about his mother. He loved her dearly, but she was nearing retirement, she didn't do many exciting things anymore. "A river crab! Don't they have those weird claws that can pinch you?"

"A river crab! Don't they have those weird claws that can pinch you?" “Yep! The water feels just like that. You’ll need to get used to it, if you want to be Riverclan Warriors. Even I have to swim, and I have the shortest pelt in the whole Clan!” Owlwhisker chuckled, turning his head to nuzzle each kit’s heads one by one. He smiled brightly. “Want to put your paws in the water? You don’t have to go in the water, but you’ll get used to the feeling if you put your paws in.” “I’ll try.” Pondkit offered, his voice quiet but determined. “Yes, they absolutely do. It pinched my paw something fierce. Tinypool had to pull the claw off my paw more times than once. I’d be cross at first, but she was good at laughing through challenges in life. Like a crab claw, or… far worse things.” Diamondheart admitted, before he averted his eyes ever so slightly. He wanted his Clanmates to know of the horrors of the Dark Forest, still paranoid that Adderstar was trying to come back through his Clanmates. “My first mentor was a Riverclan deputy. After Adderstar had left this scar on me.” He glanced at the long scar that ran down his shoulder and side, cutting his long fur in part as fur would never grow there again. “He wanted to assure that I would be loyal to his Riverclan. To Adderclan. Back then, I was still only known as the loner kit named by Rain, a leader who was not Clanborne. Even though I was a kit, many cats in the Clan would never trust me or respect me like they would others. But Adderclan was allll about unity.” He rolled his eyes, clearly being bitterly sarcastic, before he softened again. “Tinyspark, not your mother Tinypool, was my first mentor. She was small, but she was wretchedly strong. She enjoyed pushing everyone to their limits and relished in knowing she brought them suffering. She was the perfect deputy for a cat as ambitious as Adderstar. My first few moons of training were rough. And while it did make me much stronger, I started becoming colder. I started to want to do anything they asked just so I could feel like I was part of the Clan. When you’re young, and full of ambition, you start to become the worst version of yourself. When Adderclan was dismantled, it was your mother that prevented me from changing for the worst. She was firm, but she was kind, and that made all the difference.” He looked at Sproutpaw now, eyes warm. “I am nothing without the support and strength of my Clan, of my Clanmates. My hope for you, Sproutpaw, is that you never have to find yourself at the crossroads of what is wrong and what is right. And if you ever do, I hope you can depend on others the way I depended on Tinypool.”

Sapkit slid down Owlwhisker's back beside Pondkit. "I'll try too."
Iriskit looked unsure, wiggling up to Owlwhisker's scruff. "I think I'll stay here." she mumbled, pressing her face into his fur.
Littleshadow padded over to them, crouching beside the puddle. "The river is much deeper than this but the water is the same. Just do a small tap on the surface. See how it moves." she mewed, eager to see how they'd react.
~
"It must have been lonely to feel like that Diamondheart.." Sproutpaw murmured with a frown. "I'm glad my mother was able to help you. Being an only kit was lonely sometimes too, but I always had my parents and the other kits to play with at least. I can't imagine how you must have felt here with no kin."

Pondkit padded closer to the puddle, wide eyes following his mother’s motions before he reached his small paw out to the water. He touched the surface, entranced by how the reflection rippled and how the water was cool to the touch. He breathed in wonder. “Woah…” Owlwhisker nuzzled Iriskit a second time, not ever wanting to force his daughter to do anything. Instead, he offered. “See how the water moves? That’s called a ripple. And when water is moving, like in the river, that is called a current.” “I had Ottermask, and Shimmer.” Diamondheart reminded. “Ottermask is as much a brother to me as Hornetstrike in Thunderclan is. Even now, we have our nests next to eachother. And our mates, of course.” He chuckled, before he nodded once. “But, I am lucky, that both my mother and my littermate are in these Clans too. I thought she had abandoned us, but it wasn’t true. And now, she’s here again.” He purred, looking over at Winterfrost, before he looked at Sproutpaw. “And Venomspirit gave me a family, the greatest gift she could ever give me. All that loneliness back then, it never stayed that way. And if you ever feel lonely, Sproutpaw, don’t hesitate to yank my fur.” He promised, before his whiskers twitched. “I have two names, did you know? Valen. What’s a Valen? Who knows! But, it’s my first name.”

I was thinking that I could have Mistyberry find out that she’s expecting kits, we could have her and Ospreystrike talk about it if you want. And I’m down for Fluff pushing her ideologies onto her sisters too :3) (Works for me!) Pushing herself into the Warrior's den, Ospreystrike lazily flopped into her nest with a content sigh. She had stuffed herself silly with fish, seeing as the prey pile was so full that it looked like it would fall over. All her patrols had been finished, and a great nap sounded good. She glanced to the side, wanting to see if Mistyberry was in her nest next to her. Fluffcloud easily managed to hide the newest scratches on her body behind her immensely thick coat. Adderstar's last session had been brutal, yet Fluffcloud had only admired how much power and grace he exuded in battle, how she had his blood in her veins. The power to make such a grand change in the Clans, it was all she wanted to see the Clans unified. To keep everyone safe and fed. So far, her mission with Eelshock had been a success, and Hickoryshade in Thunderclan and Dashclaw in Windclan had been accepting the prey she had caught for them to bring to their Clans. She felt like she was actually doing something to help, actually building bonds between Clans rather than keeping them separated by lines. It still stung that she knew she couldn't tell her mother and father about this. And as of now, she was still hesitant to tell her sisters either. Yet, she felt bolder these days. Bold enough that maybe it was at least time to try and get them to understand how she saw the world now. She stood to her paws, hoping to spot one of her sisters around camp.

Mistyberry was indeed laying in her nest, but wasn’t sleeping just yet. Instead, she was staring off at the far wall of the den with a dazed look in her eyes. Mistyberry was far too preoccupied with her own thoughts to notice when her adoptive sister had come into the den nor when she had settled down next to her in her nest.
Applebreeze groomed her fur in a nice shady spot, having just finished eating a small fish. Lifting her head, she spotted Fluffcloud across the camp and gave her sister a smile, “Fluffcloud! Over here!” She called, waving her tail at the spot next to her.

Fluffcloud perked her ears as she spotted Applebreeze. That would work. Approaching her sister, Fluffcloud offered her a genuine smile, light yet apparent as she hummed. "How's it been with you? I'm sorry I haven't talked alot with you. I've been busy." She apologized, thinking idly of Eelshock and their many walks and plans away from camp. She knew she wanted him to be her mate, there was no doubting it by now.

Earthstar's green eyes reflected the gleam of the Moonstone as he stepped forward into its light. "We're here," the leader mewed, almost as if he was distracted and mystified at once. "This is the Moonstone... the bridge between us and StarClan. Now, we touch our noses to it and see who- or what- awaits us-" Earthstar was interrupted by the sudden scrabbling of paws, the faint scent from before now hitting him like a passing monster on the Thunderpath. From the darkness came a tall, gangly creature, stumbling forward with a growl. Its fur was ruffled and dirty, and drool dripped from its bared fangs. "StarClan... that must be a Prey Mauler!" Earthstar gasped in shock. That's how he recognized the scent! A sense of dread filled within him as he stared at the clearly aggressive creature. It stood as if it were injured, keeping weight off one of its paws, and it appeared to be alone. Still, the tom had come here with only Alder as a companion - and from what he knew about these animals, two cats alone stood no chance... Earthstar's gaze snapped to Alder in panic. Alder’s short fur puffed out, and he took a half-step back from the creature. Suddenly, the moonlight aligned with the cave roof overhead, and the stone they’d come to see lit with a dazzling light. The creature cringed back, blinking and Alder shot a look at the leader. “Run?” Earthstar immediately unsheathed his claws and turned sharply to Alder. "Run! Whatever happens, you must live!" The creature made its move, snapping at Earthstar with its large jaws. He moved quicker than the injured Prey Mauler, slashing at its muzzle. The Prey Mauler yipped in pain. The leader felt a flicker of hope as it stumbled backward on its paws, blood dripping from the slash. But the pain of the wound seemed to only incite the Prey Mauler further. Its eyes flashed in rage in the glow of the Moonstone, and it lunged at Earthstar with newfound strength. Earthstar's eyes widened in dread. Now he understood why the other Clans feared these creatures so much, if they traveled in packs and were this strong even while injured. He scored another blow on its face, but it grabbed hold of the tom and bit down harshly, lifting and shaking his body wildly. Earthstar yowled in pain as the Prey Mauler tore his fur and flesh, throwing him down to the cold stone floor. He stared numbly at the Moonstone from where he was thrown, limp and consumed by pain. He willed himself to try to move, to do anything to save Alder, but he could feel his consciousness slipping away as he bled. No..! Not when we were so close! The pain subsided and everything went dark. (I'm really sorry about my inactivity... I understand if you want to leave the RP. I definitely haven't been giving it justice recently. Alder can get his full medicine cat name during this plot - Earthstar will wake up in StarClan and think he's getting attacked/killed, but he can either drive it off somehow or it can leave on its own. Then, when Earth wakes up, they can touch the Moonstone and go from there.)

Oh, Ospreystrike, when did you get here?” She asked, surprised that she hadn’t even noticed her sister come in. “I’m fine, just… tired, I guess. Did you just come back from patrol?” She continued, trying to change the subject. The truth was, Mistyberry actually had been feeling a bit unwell the past couple of days and had just gone to see the medicine cats that day to see if she had come down with something. Thankfully, she wasn’t sick or anything, but she did receive a diagnosis that she hadn’t been expecting. This news had sent her mind into a whirlwind of emotions and panic, making it difficult for her to focus on much of anything. The last two patrols that she had been on today had each ended in disaster due to her lack of focus, and resulted in her being told to call it a day and to go back to her nest. “I’ve been busy myself lately, so no worries.” Applebreeze said with a purr, glad to spend some time with her sister. “Although, I hope you aren’t overworking yourself, Fluffcloud. You look a little drained, are you feeling alright? Have you been getting enough rest?” She asked, tilting her head in concern for her littermate.

You’re my sister.” She reminded. “If anything, I’m feeling better now than I ever have before.” Fluffcloud assured, whiskers twitching knowingly as she hummed. “I’ve started feeling like I’m really contributing. I’m probably just more active now that I spend so much time with Eelshock.” She admitted shamelessly, not caring much if other cats knew that she and Eelshock were so close. She tipped her head. “Want to go for a walk? I actually wanted to talk to you about something.”

“It’s… it’s not that. I mean, yes, I do miss Specklecreek. A lot. But that isn’t why I’m so… distracted.” Mistyberry said, her ear flicking anxiously as she glanced around the warrior’s den. At that moment, Mistyberry wished she could confess to Ospreystrike what was going on with her. How she had first met Splashstone, and that she had continued meeting with him when she could. But how would her sister react to finding out that she had been secretly meeting a WindClan warrior at the border? Mistyberry shook her head, no, she couldn’t tell Ospreystrike. She wasn’t sure that she could handle losing her only family’s trust just yet. “I’m okay, really.” She continued, not really believing what she was saying.
Applebreeze’s ear twitched in interest and gave a nod, “Sure, some fresh air and a walk would be nice.” She mewed, standing up and giving a small stretch of her legs. “What is it that you want to talk about?” Applebreeze asked curiously.

While still unconvinced, Ospreystrike didn’t want to upset Mistyberry. Whatever this was, she could tell it was affecting her deeply. She stood to her paws, instead offering. “Do you want to go for a nice swim, before it gets colder out? Maybe some calm water will help you feel better.” She looked at her, trying to help. Fluffcloud waited until they were well into the territory before she spoke suddenly. “Applebreeze. If a cat was in danger of starving, and you had two pieces of prey, would you give them one?” She turned to face her sister, serious and imposing with her raw bulk, yet her voice was gentle with empathy. “Would you give them that prey, even if they weren’t a Riverclan cat?”

Mistyberry hesitated briefly before she gave a small nod and stood up to join her sister, “Yeah, okay. I think I could do with some fresh air.” She said, taking a deep breath. “Let’s go.” Perhaps Ospreystrike was right about the water calming her down.
Applebreeze blinked at Fluffcloud as she spoke, having not expecting such a question from her. “Oh… I’m not sure.” She mewed, giving her ear a flick. “It certainly wouldn’t feel right to turn a blind eye on a starving cat, but wouldn’t we be in trouble if we get caught feeding outsiders with our own prey?”

She flicked her tail, watching her as they padded out of camp. Unable to help herself, she asked. “Did someone insult you? You know I’ll be happy to claw some ears for you.” “What if we didn’t have to see them as outsiders? You’re right, we can’t turn a blind eye on a starving cat. But what if our prey was just as much their prey?” Fluffcloud explained, eyes glimmering with passion as she exclaimed. “We’ve had so much prey just wasting on our pile while kits in the other Clans are likely going to starve this upcoming leafbare. Back to back, we suffered so many dangers. Shadowclan and Thunderclan lost so much… yet, we sit in camp without fear. They’re Warriors, just like we are. In Clans, same as ours. All we do is fight over borders and argue about our pride… but imagine us never having to worry about all that?” She started.

Darkpelt nodded, letting the water drip from his thick fur. “I do think so, and not a problem. Also, thanks. Maybe I’ll get my first apprentice sometime soon.” “I hope you do. There’s alot more kits in the nursery now, sooner or later they’ll reach 6 moons.” Lilacpaw humored, moving to inspect the fish before she offered to carry it back for the older tom. Darkpelt twitched his whiskers in appreciation. When Lilacpaw offered to carry the fish back he denied. "I can take it back. Though I could see us needing both to carry it. It's a pretty huge catch."

Who knows! But, it’s my first name.” Iriskit listened to Owlwhisker with a hum. "Why does the water do that? It looks funny." Sapkit look at the ripples for a moment before leaping directly into the puddle. He gasped in surprise as the water shot out from below his feet and splashed his whole family. Littleshadow snickered, shaking the water droplets off her fur gently. "Well, Pondkit do you want to do that too? Splashing in puddles is quite fun." "Valen." Sproutpaw repeated, "That sounds so funny compared to our clannames. Thank you for sharing it with me though. I'm glad you found family here for yourself Diamondheart. I hope one day I can feel like that too."

Owlwhisker seemed to blanch for a moment, eyes wide as he tried to think of how to explain it. He had never been the sharpest shell in the river, though he gave it his best shot. “Uhh. Well. When… when you put your paw in, you kind of push the water to the side a bit? So when you take your paw away, the water tries to go back to normal! So it moves back. And that’s how that happens!”
Pondkit squeaked as he was splashed, quickly shaking his fur. As cold as it was, he didn’t want to be the only one not going in. So, he steeled his nerves and jumped in next. Like his littermate, he sent droplets of water splashing.
“You kidding? With your temperament and your kindness, I know you’ll make another cat very happy in the future.” Diamondheart complimented. “I think you’ll have the family you want, and more.” He stood to his paws then. “Let’s get some battle training in while we’ve got plenty of free time.”
