(xD Yea! That guy xD I knew there was a 'B' and an 'R' but that was it xD)
James, suddenly remembering Grace was still there quickly waved Stroman back over. "Make it two plates and drinks" James said lowly. Stroman glanced over at Grace and then gave James a questioning look that consisted of a frown and a raised eyebrow. James just gave a curt nod, his silent way of saying 'do it, ask questions later'. He then turned and gestured for Grace to join him. He felt guilty for leaving her almost in the center of the room. And the center of the stares.

( Well you remembered the 'M' too so you weren't too far off. )
Grace narrowed her eyes when whoever the chef was glanced her way, this was going to take some getting used to. Noticing that James was gesturing for her to join him she silently walked over. Softly muttering something under her breath, "I hate people." But in Irish of course, you do not say something like that in English when people could possibly hear you. Sure it was hardly audible but there was still a chance of someone hearing her which didn't help the situation.
( Behold the mysterious Red Reaper, killer of men, sinker of ships and... Not a social butterfly? cx )

(True xD)
James waited for Grace to sit and then glanceda round at his crew. They seemed to have gone about their buisness again, but a few quick glances or suspicious scowls were being tossed their way. James caught Grace's muttered, but her speaking in Irish preventing him from understanding. But it didn't take much thought to know it wasn't a happy or cheerful expression. James had to hold back the grin of amusement that was slowly creeping across his face. "I take it, you don't get stared at too often?" He said, trying to hide the tease in his voice.

Grace settled down in her seat then loosely folded her arms, she was more suited to sitting in a corner by herself. Glancing at James with a small frown when he spoke to her, shaking her head in response. "No I get stared at a lot just not normally in a situation like this." She replied quietly, truthfully she felt vulnerable and it wasn't a feeling that she liked one bit.
( Indeed cx )

James couldn't hold back his smile. He was tempted to give her shoulder a playful but encouraging bump, but then decided against it. He actually didn't know if that would make her angry or not. So instead James simply shrugged and smiled broadly, "Well relax. If you relax and don't care then eventually, they won't bother looking anymore because they aren't getting a reaction" James replied just as quietly. He stopped speaking as Stroman appeared with two plates and passed them to both Grace and James. When the man left, James added, "Would the Red Reaper sit like this in a stool and talk like one word spoken to loudly would get her killed?" James whispered, leaning closer to avoid being heard. Luckily, the rising conversation of the crew covered most of their conversation.

Grace silently listened to James, he raised a good argument; yes relaxing would be hard but she could probably do at least that much. Watching the chef when he came over, glancing down at the plate of food in disinterest. Hardly able to suppress a huff of amusement at the last part, "Well in complete honestly the Red Reaper doesn't often talk and if you saw them chances are your ship is sinking." She replied in smooth whisper, unable to help but give him a quick wink. A small smile showing on her face. "They also tend to have dual swords at their side at all times." Not just a mere knife.

James raised an eyebrow and moved to his food. He took a small bite of the sausages and then answered. "Really? Dual swords are quite rare on the seas, they must've pillaged much to get those." James said, his face completely serious. He glanced at Grace, "But the real question is,"-he stabbed a peice of sausage and held it up with his fork-" do they prefer caviar or jam on their biscuits?" James asked, looking her in the eye as if it was a serious matter. But he could hold back the grin that swept over his features.

Grace shrugged, she was forcing herself not to laugh at James. "I don't think they are pillaged but what do I know?" She replied equally serious tone. Deciding to take a tiny bite of a sausage to at least try and eat something. Then he had to ask that absolutely absurd question, taking her hand and placing it against her face. Giving him a hopeless glance and shaking her head, struggling to swallow the sausage before sighing. "Caviar is terrible." She informed him in a disappointed tone.

James grinned broadly and bit into the sausage. He'd successfully amused her, even if it was only in the slightest. Perhaps it would help her relax a bit more. He finished his sausage before answering. "I'd agree, but such a dominating crew needs something to keep their strength up. I'll wager fish eggs are a great source of fiber and protein" He said lightly, managed to tame his grin and turn it into a lopsided smile.

Grace took her palm and jokingly hit herself in the face a few times before slowly turning to look at James. "You, sir, need help." She said with another shake of her head. Picking up her fork and waving it at him as she spoke, then took it and speared a sausage. Looking away from him with a huff and taking a large bite of the sausage.

James laughed and shook his head. He tried one more time to poke at the joke. James gave a mock gasp of hurt, "The only thing I need help with is finding out the kind of meal they eat every day." He said and thne his voice dropped to a boyish tone and was smoothered in an exaggerated english accent. "Because when I grow up I want to be just like them" He whispered, making his eyes big as saucers before straightening with a small chuckle at himself.

Grace's jaw tightened at James as he kept trying to joke around, struggling to keep a serious expression and not bust up laughing. Forcefully chewing the sausage in her mouth and swallowing, "I'm going to ignore you now." She informed him, keeping her gaze away from him, fixing it on a random spot on the wall and continuing to eat. Not realizing that his joking around had indeed caused her to relax and thus making her appetite return.
( And some random member of the crew is watching them like 'what is going on' cx )

(xD like 'what in devils name is James doing, pretending to be a little boy? Has he gone mad?' xD That's great)
James grinned broadly. And shook his head, "You can't ignore me." He turned and took a sip of his drink. "Nay, I'm much to loveable. You'll get attached soon enough" He glanced at her and gave a teasing wink, even though she didn't seem to be looking. "Women can't resist me you know. They either see me as a ravishing young man or an adorable childish boy. And we all know adorable little boys get the ladies all the more." He said sly, but James quickly stopped when he noticed a few of the crew members giving him confused glances. He probably looked ridiculous.

( Well they probably already think that he's gone mad already with the whole English Channel thing. )
Grace was still ignoring James the best she could whilst eating to keep her mouth full to avoid talking back to him. Sighing at his reasoning and shaking her head, now she was pretty sure that he did indeed need help. "Good for me, let me know when you find yourself a wench who loves adorable little boys." She responded quietly so only he could hear, part of her wanted to make a smart comment but she decided that ignoring him was better.

(This is probably true as well xD)
James gasped in mock offense. He finished his plate and pushed it aside, moving to his drink. "Pardon, but I am a gentlemen. Wenches are far beneath me. I prefer a lady and one with a sizeable dowry at that." He said in the rough English accent that most nobles used. He sighed and turned away, "But if you're to follow me around like a lost girl, I supposed you'll have to notice me at some point" James said with a wry grin as he took a sip of his drink.

( He needs to tell them the story before he gets thrown overboard. )
Grace couldn't help but allow a small smile spread across her face, he was making a fool of himself and she was starting to become embarrassed for him. That was combined with the fact that if she wasn't sure that James was joking she'd have slapped him by now. "And what makes you think I am a lady?" She asked lightly but with a serious tone, still not looking at him but at the food she had almost finished. Taking a last few mouthfuls before turning to him with a roll of her eyes. "I'll keep that in mind, if you want I'll just wander off without letting you know." She added, and the fact that he had told her not to do that last thing.

(Yea, I'll just have him start with it now)
James laughed and bit and shook his head, "Your a lady." He said with a small smile. He then stood and pushed his plate and rink toward Stroman. The cheif accepted them and then James turned away. He moved toward the center of the room and stood patiently as all eyes moved to him. Then James spoke, "I know your all very confused. It doesn't make much sense that I wuld want to sail straight for the English Channel. But explain myself to you. On one condition." James turned in a circle, raising his voice to make sure everyone could hear him. He then grew stern with a small frown on his face. "You will NOT question my orders! I know the direction my ship is headed before I retire to my courters. After today, if I am woken with someone at my door saying they turned this boat about without telling me, you'll all be punished and I'll not be gracious." James said in a growl. He then took a deep breath, everyone had fallen silent. "Now, onto that explanation." James huffed.

Grace shrugged to herself at his response, she wasn't terribly ladylike but whatever. 'Lady' was her title so she'd have to deal with it. Picking up her own drink and taking a sip as she watched James stand up and talk to the center of the room, this was going to be interesting. Taking a deep breath as her face seemed to become a mask of calmness, once he really got into the story she was positive that she'd get some looks her way and so she had to go along with it. Suppressing a smile at James began to speak, he was obviously the Captain here.

James looked around the room. "I know there have been complaints about our course. And why we are going on this course. I understand the reasons for questioning. Your captain suddenly brings a woman on board and he is then going places that the lady wants to go. But you haven't heard the whole story. Now while in that marine village. I was attacked by a large group of bounty hunters. This lady"-James pointed to Grace.-" Saved my life. She was beaten in my place and as such, probably saved my life. Because of her sacrifice, I am in her debt. To pay back this debt, I am helping her find......" James paused and searched for the right words. I'm helping her find her fathers ship. It was stolen from her and she wants to find it." James finished with a small huff.

Grace silently listened, now that he was sharing the story it sounded a lot better then she had previously thought. So long as no one really got into the details of the whole bounty hunter situation, but she did have some obvious bruises and a bandage on her arm so she could sell it. Taking another slow sip of her drink while smirking to herself, truthfully she really was looking for her father's ship which had been stolen from her. Sure now it was her ship but that wasn't important.

James looked at his crew, "Now if any of you would like me to dishonor my debt and throw her overboard, speak now." A low grumble passed among the crew, but no one rose their voice to speak. James nodded, "Good, then this matter is settled" He said, moving to step to the side. Apparently the matter was not settled and someone cleared there voice and spoke. "None of us wish you to dishonor your promise of favor" The man began. James spun back around and crossed his arms, looking at the man with an irritated gaze. The man halted a moment but then continued. "But you can't really expect us to listen to a woman. She doesn't know the dangers she just wants her bloody ships."

Grace let out a breath she didn't realize that she was holding when no one spoke up, quietly setting down her drink and glancing across the crew. At least there wasn't any problems, or so she thought. Her gaze flickering to the man who spoke up, narrowing her eyes as she listened to this rebuttal. Did he just suggest that she didn't the dangers of this entire situation? That she didn't know the dangers of the sea and as such the English Channel? Struggling to maintain her calm demeanor, but she couldn't do it; it was too funny. Even if they didn't know who she was. And with that she broke out laughing, loudly, now wasn't the time but she couldn't help it. After a couple moments she got a hold of herself and looked back around at the crew while muttering an apology about how she needed to control herself, gazing back down at her drink with a faint smile.

James opened his mouth to give a retort, when Grace suddenly burst out in laughter. James turned and looked at her in surprise. As did the rest of the crew. When she finished, he cleared his throat awkwardly and turned back to his crew. But instead the man who had spoken first took his opportunity to speak. "Would you like to say something Lady?" The man asked. James stiffened at the slight sneer in the sailors tone. He glanced uneasily at Grace, unsure if she wanted him to do anything or not.

Grace raised an eyebrow at the man who was speaking, noticing James glance at her she quickly decided that she could deal with this herself. Giving the man a large smile in return, "Why I'd love to thank you for asking." She replied in a bright tone, that quickly disappeared into a blunter, cooler tone. "I'd have you know that I grew up a sea brat so I'd like to think I know a thing or two about the sea and it's dangers." A 'sea brat' was the often used term for children who grew up at or around the sea with a parent generally being a captain of sorts and gained a extensive knowledge the sea, making them generally come off as know it all's. Her gaze suddenly seeming disappointed as she looked at all of the crew men and shook her head, she was treading on thin ice and needed to get the subject off of herself. "What baffles me is that fact that you are all pirates, right?" Pausing for half a second look around again for anyone who thought otherwise before continuing. "And generally one becomes a pirate for the trill of it, I mean it is also a livelihood but one can easily find a far safer livelihood so it's a choice, correct? Going around killing people and stealing thing." Stopping to figure out what she would say, "Now course is set for the English Channel which I'm going to say is one of the most thrilling places for pirates such as yourself, and you seem to be bothered by this fact when you can easily get through the Channel without problem if you know how to; and don't give them a reason to pay attention." Grace added well aware that she was basically challenging them as pirates. Shrugging to herself thoughtfully before sighing, "But what would I know? I'm just a girl?" A sneering edge in her voice.
( I'm sorry this is so long x.x )

James listening, holding back a small smirk. He had to give it to her, she knew what to say and when. When she finished the whole room burst into an outroar of retorts. Mostly consisting of 'She can't insult us like that' or 'She's insulted our courage'. James growled a bit, muttering a few nasty words under his breath before loudly shouting. "QUIET!" The room silenced almost immediatly. James looked at the very ruffled and scowling crew. But their scowls were aimed at Grace mostly. "She's right, and you all know it." James said flatly. "When have I ever led you into something impossible? If I didn't trust this woman and thought her plan was mad, do you think I would've listened to her?" He questioned, moving around the room to look at every man. "She and I have set this course together. I know you might not be able to trust her at the moment. But you can trust me. And if you can't trust me. Then I'll drop the boats for you and you can row yourselves back to whatever forsaken town you want to go back too." James said strongly, pointing toward the stairs to make his point more clear. "Now if any of you would like to leave, do it now." James folded his arms in a defiant sort of way and seemed to glower at every man in the room. Not a soul moved. James grinned, his demeanor back to it's gleeful self. "Right then, lets get sailing men. We've got the British Navy waiting for us at the English Channel."

Grace sat there and finished her drink listening to their outrage as if this were nothing. She was positive that they now wanted to throw her overboard and that was fine considering what she had just said. Stiffening in her seat when James shouted for silence, retaining a smile when he openly stood up for her. Her gaze once again sweeping over the gaze to see how they would react. When no one moved or said a word a smile reappeared on her face, that hand't gone too badly.

James clapped his hands in a cheery way and the men grumbled. They slowly got to their feet and filed up the stairs. James waited until the last left before giving a small huff. He glanced at Grace, "Well it definitely isn't over." He said with a small frown, "if they don't complain openly, they'll just start whispering." He ran a hand through his hair. "I hate to say it, but try not to go anywhere alone. I'd feel better if you stayed close to me. I trust them but....insulted men are angry men. And angry men are unpredictable." James said grimly, glancing over at the stairs.

Grace stood up and shrugged, not really caring if she should or shouldn't go places alone. She was already sticking close to James so that wasn't hard. Giving him a small smile at the last part about the men being angry, "It was worth it though, and I don't intend to go anywhere alone." She responded in a almost bored tone as she walked over closer to him. "Personally I don't enjoy men thinking they can get off the hook with their behavior just because I'm a girl, and technically they threw the first stone." She added, not exactly sounding pleased. Casting a quickly glare at the stairs.
( The whole crew probably hates her now cx )
