Self explanatory. I want to see people's weaknesses when it comes to death in stories.
You know...for science.

Bump.
{I really need to know, folks. The current statistics are not very helpful, unfortunately.}

I chose children because I have a very soft spot for kids and like, just seeing one start to tear up will make me cry.. but the warrior cats death that hurt me most was probably Bluestar's.

This reply may or may not be spoiler-y, just as a warning. Such is the fate of character death related posts....
I want to say something about the Eragon and Brom thing, considering his death didn't really (strongly) affect me until I was reading Brisingr (I actually just finished rereading it, but it didn't even affect me as much this time) where I actually had tears forming in my eyes over the little flashback-ish scene thing. Sorry I'm trying really hard not to give spoilers for anyone who hasn't read it yet...
But I chose other because it really depends for me. Usually it just hits me the hardest if I think they still have so much to give to the story/other characters/their life/etc. Brom's death made me sad, but didn't really hit me until Brisingr. At least rereading the series, Gorsepaw's death in the Darkest Hour hit me really hard. Bluestar's also made me really sad with the most recent read through. Later in the series, even though I'm not a huge fan of her, what happened to Spottedleaf at the end of the Last Hope made me slam the book shut in disbelief (something I've never done before. At least I'm not like some people I've known who have thrown books across the room when a character dies). But I didn't feel overwhelmingly sad or anything.
Um.... Ravenpaw. I haven't read his novella yet, but just seeing his name in the Ultimate Guide as being with StarClan killed me inside a little. Well, maybe a lot.
Also, a certain character toward the end of the anime Trigun, who I won't spoil just in case people plan on watching it. That death still gets to me any time I think of that character, or rewatch the show. Me and my friend both cry out their name and silently sob together whenever we mention them.
There are probably a lot of other characters, but these are the ones that came to mind first.
(Also, sorry this is really long. I like to rant >.> )

Any death with the saddest reactions. It is the reaction that makes the death sad for me.

When someone is killed by someone they love... but the killer doesn't know that.
For example, Transformers: Prime. It was hinted that Breakdown might've liked Airachnid
but then she literally ripped his head and limbs off while he was alive
I apologize for any nightmares, younger ones/more sensitive ones.
