Honestly, I wouldn't be as upset over this new information as I am now if it were actually shown that the cats were bad. Because really, this is just poor storytelling here. Okay, go ahead and send these cats to the Dark Forest, but if they appear in the books before, then at the very least provide hints that they actually belong there or vice versa. Give evidence. There's a reason why the most important rule in storytelling is show, don't tell. If Vicky or even Su ever actually go into more detail on what these cats did to get into the Dark Forest instead of just giving vague answers like saying that Brightflower felt hatred after her kits died or Lilywhisker felt bitter after she was crippled, then that'd be another story. It's all about action. That's what determines where you'll go when you die.
Unfortunately, I doubt this will ever happen.
On a side note though, Su corrected that Brightflower was still alive when Brokenstar's actions were revealed.

I don't really trust anything Su says. It there proof that Vicky actually gave her conformation for what she said? Because if not, I see no reason to believe her.

I've never even heard of this Su lady. Another Erin? That makes, what 5? 6? Geeze, been under the rock too much lately. I'm behind on the times A few of the Erin's have left the group (can't remember which ones- Vicky I think even though she's still doing the novellas?) and apparently Su is just a helper *shrugs* |
