Apparently it was confirmed that Swiftkit and Lynxkit were the kits of Goldenflower and Patchpelt. It's under missing kits in the comment section:
"We have always wanted to know the names of kits who didn’t appear in the stories, or characters glimpsed only briefly. I came up with identities and tiny stories for each of these “invisible characters”, and Vicky was so happy that she has given me permission to share them with you. She looked over every single cat and agrees to see every fact about them as cannon.
Sadly, these characters might never appear in an official Warriors book, but they can live in our hearts!
I will post them bit by bit every two or three days and I hope you enjoy our little revelations!
First one is the small tabby tom mentioned on pages 108, 120, 131 and 153 in "Into the Wild".
His name is Lynxkit and he is a small, light ginger tabby tom with some black patches and yellow eyes.
He was born to Goldenflower and Patchpelt in a litter with Swiftkit.
Despite playing a lot with his brother, he was a weak kit and died of weakness and went to StarClan the night Bluestar, Tigerclaw, Firepaw, Graypaw and Ravenpaw were at the moonstone.
Second are some kits scattered over the book.
The gray-and-white kit mentioned on page 108 in "Into the Wild" is Swiftkit, who is playing with his brother Lynxkit. His black parts were mistakenly said to be gray.
The black kit mentioned on page 131 on "Into the Wild" is also Swiftkit without his white parts mentioned.
Also on page 131 in "Into the Wild" we see a fluffy gray kit which is Cinderkit.
The third kit mentioned on page 131 in "Into the Wild" is a tortoiseshell kit. It is Brightkit being with her sister Cinderkit, but her white parts are not mentioned there. The "tortoiseshell" meant her ginger tabby patches.

Today’s kits are the two kits of Dawncloud mentioned in “Into the Wild” page 255.
The first kit is little Blossomkit. Some fans may already know her because she is the same Blossomkit which listens to Rock in “Cats of the Clans”. Blossomkit is a white she-kit with green eyes and was born to Dawncloud and Finchflight together with her brother Swampkit.
Swampkit is a white tom with ginger tabby patches and green eyes.
Sadly Brokenstar didn’t even made the effort to give them apprentice names and just dragged them into the battle where ShadowClan fought WindClan and drove them out. Both of them were way too small to fight against such big opponents and were killed in the battle, they went to StarClan.
Dawncloud was really sad about the loose of her first and only kits. That is the reason why she is described as old in “Into the Wild”. The loose of her kits made her feel like she was already an elder and had lived for years."

I've read this on her FB a few days ago too. Interesting, and finally we got confirmation that Patchpelt is the father of Swiftpaw.

Because that doesn't make any sense. None of these cats never even did anything wrong except for maybe Tangleburr since she followed Brokenstar and later Tigerstar, yet still felt loyalty to ShadowClan. And the worst Brightflower did was accuse Yellowfang of murder... but so did almost everyone else and even that was somewhat understandable given the circumstances at the time. |

Also, this is what it said about Brightflower:
"Was filled with hate because she thought Yellowfang killed Mintkit and Marigoldkit. She died before the cats found out it was Brokenstar." She was still alive....
And about Lilywhisker:
"She got injured shortly after she became a warrior. Her hindleg was smashed and she had to go straight to the elders. She was furious of her fate to sit around for years unable to help. She is a bit like Briarlight with her broken back, but she wasn't able to settle her mind with her fate"

So... being filled with hate makes you go to the Dark Forest, even if you've never commited any actual crimes? If that's the case then Ashfur (he also commited crimes, so double guilty), Flametail, Ivypool, Dawnpelt, Nightcloud, Onestar, Longtail, Millie, and many other cats belong in the Dark Forest as well, because they went through a time where they were filled with hate.
Also, I guess Briarlight's going to the Dark Forest too.

Okay, so Brightflower, Lilystem, and some of the other cats listed went to the Dark Forest and Brightflower and Lilystem were apparently filled with hate because of what happened to them, but when a certain gray tom is filled with hate and actually acts upon it, he gets sent to StarClan because of bias. That makes perfect sense! Seriously though, just because someone is "filled with hate" shouldn't really be enough to sent them to what is basically Hell. Unless they acted upon their bitter feelings, then I don't see why Brightflower and Lilywhisker should've gone to the Dark Forest. And like you said, Brightflower was still alive when Brokenstar's actions were revealed. |

Someone should let Vicky know this does not make sense I'd do it, but then she'll probably just insist she was right like she did when I provided evidence on why MV taking place not long after SkyClan's exile doesn't make sense either. And yes, I'm still kinda bitter about that. Better not get sent to the Dark Forest for my bitterness. |

This Su person might as well confirm the idea that Squirrelflight gave birth to Ashfur's stillborn kits. Makes as much sense as everything else confirmed tonight.

Also, the father of Ashfur and Ferncloud is Whitestorm apparently. The reasoning Su gave us? "Vicky already stated once that Whitestorm is their father, and he is. I had the same thoughts as you on this case. Also Whitestorm is guarding the nursery when Brindleface gave birth to the kits and he is talking and praising Ashpaw and Fernpaw when they are apprentices. The one time she said its Runningwind, well I would call this Vicky-cat-confusion. He wouldn't make sense at all. Brightflower, Blizzardwing, Tangleburr, Deerfoot, Lilywhisker and Marshcloud (who never did anything) are said to be in the Darkforest Er...what?!?!
Also, this is what it said about Brightflower:
"Was filled with hate because she thought Yellowfang killed Mintkit and Marigoldkit. She died before the cats found out it was Brokenstar." She was still alive....
And about Lilywhisker:

So being mad about something makes you go to the DF? Seriously?! Cinderpelt was never able to settle her mind about her fate. To the DF to you! Even though you're a great and kind cat and good medicine cat! And as far as I know all those cats were good, even if they got angry at times or made mistakes. They don't deserve a punishment that harsh ...I'm really not liking this Su person. I heard about a person who hacked Vicky's facebook or something account and spread false information. I kinda feel like this is a case like that but idk... |

I like how they're giving names to the kits without names from the first series, however, I think that putting cats in the Dark Forest that should clearly be in Starclan is crazy. What is Vicky thinking right now? No offense but I like Kate way more, and at least Kate's pretty consistent. Plus Kate is very connective with the fans and is nice enough to include our names in the books now. Anyhow since people are arguing with Vicky (and Su) about this, I hope they'll realize those cats don't deserve to be in the DF.
Also I'm kind of hoping for one of the unknown kits to be named Branchkit or Lilackit since those names haven't been used yet as far as I know. I'm glad that they chose the name Tulipkit since that's a new one I've wanted for a while. |
