I just wanted to know if anyone else loved the relationship between Alderheart and Twigpaw in Thunder and Shadow as much as I did.
To me they both seem sort of cut from the same distant cloth, if you will, but different enough to make their interactions interesting.
Alderheart was so empathetic and sweet with her from the start. In each of the points of view you could always tell how much he cares about her, such as when he heard ShadowClan was holding her hostage. And it's endearing the way Twigpaw seems to feel most comfortable around him, like he's her best friend. I found their whole friendship just so heart-warming and cute! *dies*
I was also pleasantly surprised that when Twigpaw was a young kit Alderheart still treated her like an equal and took her feelings seriously. That seems to be rather rare in the Clans, and it gives Alderheart major points in my book.

I agree. Alderheart took serious care about her and the kit looks him as a brother or even, as a father. Unlike Needletail and Violetpaw.

They have the cutest relationship <3
I just hope they don't become romantic. I love them as like brother/sister

Just you wait. The Erins will ruin everything by pairing them together!

Even if they did, still better than Needle x Alder.

Agreed. They were so cute, almost like a father-daughter. I really, really hope the Erins don't try and turn their relationship romantic.

Woofzie Yeah, for me it was really interesting to see the compare/contrast of Alderheart and Twigpaw's relationship to Needtail and Violetkit's. o: The whole book just made me think of the whole nature vs. nurture debate. kinkajou , @risingwingbriarjay86 , briarfrost Yeah, I get what you mean...I think their relationship would lose something in making it about romance. Their bond just seemed more than that, you know? It seems purer than that, or something (at risk of me sounding wishy-washy). x3 ❅Maplefrost❅ Dude. I didn't like Needlepaw in the first book, but I tried to withhold judgement- now I openly just don't like her. x3 But at the same time, I think it's cool to have a character like her in the books, she definitely makes things interesting...even if I want to toss her in a river sometimes. But yeah, Alderheart and Needletail are just...too different. And not an "opposites attract" kind of different. A "totally different values that could never be in sync" sort of different.
