☂ Pandas are monkeys. At least, according to my younger brother.

lololol your brother is great lol
tbh, Idk how I feel about pandas
On one hand, they're really cute and fluffy and I want to hug one and keep one at home and video tape it just being adorable.
But on the other hand, they're literally called "nature's mistake". They contribute nothing to the ecosystem, they can't properly care for their young (no joke, they're legitimately incompetent when it comes to caring for their cubs), and they're just really picky with their diet, which is not something animals can afford to be in the wild. Honestly, if China (or the rest of the world) didn't protect the heck out of them, they'd be long extinct. Sometimes I kind of wish that effort could be exerted on more important animals that play a large role in maintaining the environment. For example, I would love to see more polar bear conservation efforts than there currently are, and that's just off the top of my head.
So idk :< They're no longer extremely endangered which is good news for them, so I hope that they'll share some of their attention with other almost-extinct species.

They'e monkeys, right?" And I'm just like "..." :I It was hilarious though. CX
They are adorable. Maybe that's why everyone wants to protect them? I mean, tigers are endangered, and they don't seem to get a lot of attention. Polar bears are endangered, and they don't seem to get a lot of attention. Lots of contributing animals are dying out, and all everyone is focused on is "Save the pandas!" Heck, WWF's symbol is a panda. It's kind of sad, really. You do make a good point though.

He sound adorable ;v; Oh pandas are just the cutest things, but now I have to wonder if that's a survival-based trait that they've adapted? Only the fluffiest, cutest panda would be protected by the humans, so only they reproduced (or had offspring live to maturity) and as time progressed they continued to develop these "cute" traits, thus adapting to be as such. They might have literally adapted into becoming something that humans would be inclined to protect...huh...Natural selection is a strange, strange thing. But I wouldn't be surprised if pandas from 200-300 years ago weren't as fluffy as the ones now.

☂ He's 12... and asks some weird questions. XD I'm not sure how 'adorable' he is (that's just me), but he can be really funny at times. He doesn't really have a filter, though. :")
That would actually make sense...? Lol. In a weird way, that could be true. The cuter something is, the more attention - and protection - it's going to receive. Kind of like a baby. Lots of people think babies are adorable, and that drives them to protect babies from harm.
