That was pathetic and did not look good as a reputation. StarClan chosen or not, Halfsun did not believe in StarClan. He did not think they were in any way control of the things around them. There had to be another power somewhere who was. StarClan was nursery tales told by queens to kits. Halfsun was not a kit, and knew that after death, you do join ancestors. However, not in 'StarClan'.

"There is no StarClan. There has never been. If they are so great and mighty, how come they don't stop fires from happening, or say they don't know the answer to things. They are fake. All of those stories and prophecies, those may be from out ancestors but StarClan is not as powerful as you would like to think they are Silverstar. And don't give me a lecture about the dead cats you treat like gods. I don't want to hear it."

After seeing Silverstar run out of the camp, Spiritpaw wondered what was going on. 'Well, it's probably none of my buisness,' Spiritpaw thought. He then looked around for something he could do. He then remembered what he was assigned to do a while ago: clean out the elder's bedding. Not the worst task, but certainly not his favorite. After all, squeezing out ALL the wetness from new moss was quite hard. If he didn't squeeze it dry, the elders would ramble on and on about stiff bones as a result. 'Ughh...' Spiritpaw thought.

Lilyleaf brought up the rear and kept to herself as they started the journey. She didn't know what Silverstar expected Starclan to do about the way the clan was treating her. Personally she thought that the young leader just needed to stop relying on others to solve her problems and stand up for herself. No one wanted cat that was too young to lead the clan cause they all thought that she was weak. If Silverstar would just simply prove herself to the clan then she wouldn't be in this predicament. |
