Just post this on your first post- SN|Character Name|Race|Class AND HOP RIGHT IN! Edition wise, I'd prefer 4th, as that's where all my characters are from. Dawn War pantheon, and all monsters!

StarryDreamer|Thorn|Shifter|Druid
StarryDreamer|Akta|Tiefling|Sorcerer
StarryDreamer|Etratomire|Goliath|Fighter
StarryDreamer|St. Micheal the Insanely Mad|Human|Avenger

LikeAZubat|Quara Barin|Red Dragonborn|Fighter
Wingeth | Sahara | Human | Horizon Walker
TheFunnyRobot|Corsain|Human|Paladin

(Here's a nice long starter for y'all)
Naivora stalked through the undergrowth, her long dark cape trailing behind her and staff held at the ready. It had been three days since they had set up camp here, and still she felt like she was being watched. Leaving the others at camp beside the portal, she made her way out into the dark leafy green, ears and eyes alert for any signs of others. It wasn't long before she heard a rustling in the bushes behind her. Quickly she spun around, already mouthing the first few words of a spell. “Woah!” the figure called out, slowly emerging from the bushes. She had almost blended right in with the foliage with her leafy skin and twiggy stature. “Nathuulia,” Naivora sighed, lowering her implement. “I asked you to stay behind. The others need someone else with a level head.” “Psh, they’ll be fine,” the Wilden scoffed, scooting closer towards her. “So… What are we looking for?” Naivora sighed, gently shoving her friend away as her blade threatened to impale her leg. “Others.” “Others, huh? Well that's just the sort of vague answer you always give, isn't it?” The wizard sighed again, making a mental note never to allow anyone else on her scouting missions again. “Others,” she repeated, “as in others who could have followed us here.” “Ooh,” Nathuulia said, casting a quick glance around. “Why would they be following us? Did they want to find the portal to the FeyWild? Or-?” “I don’t think saying why we’re here will help,” she snapped. “At all.” “Oh. Right. Well… have you found anyone?” “No,” Naivora sighed, casting her glance towards the sky. “Not yet.”
-----------------------------
“Why can't we just jump through it?!?” Thorn asked, impatiently pacing back and forth in front of the great wooden structure they had centered their camp around. “I mean, there's not much else we can do.” “I'm sure that's not the best idea,” Akta replied, gently running her hands along the structure. It looked to be formed out of the trees directly, with no human interference. “Interesting…” She turned suddenly towards the lumbering figure sitting nearby, sharpening his fullblade. “Tomire, do you remember what Naivora said about this passageway?” “It hasn’t been used in years,” he grunted, reluctantly putting the weapon aside. “Shame, honestly. Could have been a valuable trade route.” “Of course, always concerned with the money,” she sighed, plopping herself on the ground. “Aren't you our little businessman.” She closed her eyes, clearly trying to focus. “Divines, Thorn, I can't focus with you pacing like that!” “Well pardon me if I'm a bit nervous!” the shifter exclaimed, throwing her hands up in the air. “We're standing in front of some old portal thing that goes who knows where!!!” Akta sighed. “I wish Naivora was still here. She'd know what to make of this…” “Nightingale may be stuffy, but has more than half a head,” a cracked voice reached out from a nearby tent. “Tomire,” Thorn groaned, “I thought you said he was sleeping.” The Goliath shrugged. “Not my problem.” A lilted chuckle emanated from the tent. “Don't worry, kitty, Micheal’ll go right back to sleep like a good boy.” Akta sighed again, resting her head in her hands. “I just wish I knew what was going on. First the arena, then the temple, then the cravers, and now this? It's all so confusing…” Tomire gently rested a hand on the tiefling’s back. “Don't worry,” he said, with a kindness usual in him. “I'm sure we’ll find out everything soon.”

OOC: Is this gonna have a DM and rolls and everything, or is it just set in Faerun?

OOC: Coolio.
I'm gonna go off 5e for classes+races+spells. I'll try not to make it too awkward.
LikeAZubat|Grim Hawthorn|Human|Wizard
LikeAZubat|Quara Barrin|Red Dragonborn|Fighter
BIC: Grim sometimes wondered if he should've become a ranger, or maybe a druid. So much of his job was tracking people, through forests or plains or cities. But he didn't think he'd be able to manage living out here all the time. He'd miss his bed. He was a strange-looking wizard, for sure. He wore a tattered and muddy version of the uniform of the militia of the closest big city, but none of the armor or weapons, and had a shiny badge proudly hidden away in his pocket.
Currently, he was looking for a dastardly sort, who'd recently fled the city, leaving Grim, one of the only ones left who could(due to a rash of arrow/knee-related injuries), to follow. Though he was having quite a time with it. He'd fallen into mud at least twice, and there had been a few goblins looking for an easy victim, which was one thing Grim was not. He was a hard victim. A few spells, yada yada yada, and he'd left them a long ways back, Now he was mostly lost, following an old trail, and honestly believing that it was hopeless.
The lawman sighed, brushing his knotty hair out of his eyes and leaning against a tree. He was tired, hungry, and hadn't bathed in forever. Maybe it was time to throw in the towel on this one, let them be another city's problem.
OOC: I don't really have an idea for what criminal he's hunting, so unless someone joins with a criminal and wants him to be hunting them, they'll be inconsequential.

(That's completely fine! Just a lot of the plot things are related to 4e in my characters' backstories, and it's what I know best. Also still confused about how the FeyWild works in 5e, so there may be some discrepancies there.)
Naivora paused for a minute, ears pricking up at the slight sounds of rustling from ahead. "What is it?" Nathuulia asked, hand dropping to her blade. "Trouble?" Naivora rolled her eyes, shooting a sharp glance back with her finger pressed against her lips. "Oh, right," the Wilden said, much quieter now. "Sorry." Slowly the Eladrin crept forward, motioning for Nathuulia to stay back. Although, knowing her, she'd probably tag along anyway. Naivora sighed quietly, brushing a stray strand of black hair back into its braid. She wished- not for the first time- that someone else could be responsible for leading. It was a burden, constantly having to corral the others like they were children. But Akta was too hot-headed, Nathuulia too naive, Thorn too aggressive, Tomire too self-interested, and Micheal... Well, Micheal wasn't ready for most anything yet. Except killing things. He could really do a number on monsters. A thin smile graced Naivora's lips, but it quickly faded as she caught sight of a figure up ahead. Cautiously, she kept low to the ground, moving slowly as she tried to stay hidden. It appeared to be a human, perhaps a traveller of some kind? Still, better to be cautious than be dead. Naivora stayed under her cover, eyes fixed on the man, and hand firmly grasping her staff.

OOC: Sorry, Naivora, Grim won't be able to take over for you.
BIC: Grim, completely unaware of this Eladrin at the moment, decided to open up his bag and take out the last of his hardtack. With a wave of his hand and a few muttered words, he used Prestidigitation to change its flavor to resemble his mother's chicken pot pie, which he did dearly miss at the moment, and began gnawing on a corner of it. He couldn't change the texture, but the flavor change at least made it palatable. He could eat mud if he used Prestidigitation on it. Not that he would, because it would still have all the nutritional value of mud, but he could. "By Tyr," he growled, finally able to break off a chunk of his meal. Who'd come up with hardtack anyway? They ought to be hanged for crimes against humanity.

Naivora watched as the man bit into his piece of hardtack. She didn't envy him. At least Thorn could scavenge well enough to keep them from living off their rations. It was a valuable skill, especially since they had been travelling for so long. She watched the man's actions carefully, taking into note every detail. Was he using... magic? It was certainly possible. She could sense the vague presence of arcane power somewhere nearby, but for all she knew it could be the distant remnants of the portal. Well, Naivora reluctantly admitted to herself, I won't learn anything from hiding out here. Slowly, she rose to her feet, standing just on the edge of a deep fringe of undergrowth. With her deep green cloak falling about her form and her dark wooden staff, she must have looked like some wild forester. She stayed silent, waiting for the man to speak first.

Grim looked over at the Eladrin, eyes widening slightly. Well. Who was this? He stuck the hardtack in his pocket, smiling broadly at her, "hello!" He said cheerily, "never thought I'd see someone else out here!" He shoved his hands in his pockets(turning the badge in there over and over), straightening up, "what are you doing so far out in the woods?" She had to have some sort of reason, after all. No-one was just here, unless they were a goblin or a druid. Or both. He didn't discriminate.

"Just... looking for something," Naivora said cautiously, gripping her staff tightly. The man seemed friendly enough, but one could never be sure with these wandering types. "What are you doing out here?" she asked, turning his question back around. "I can't imagine why anyone else would be exploring this stretch of forest." Naivora hoped he couldn't see how tense she was. If this man really was unfriendly, she had sent all her friends away. She'd have to take him on alone. Lady of Night, please let me not be in over my head...

Grim's analytical eyes swept over her, and he could see how high-strung she was. He was a little wary too, but he was confident enough in his magical prowess. He could think of four spells he had that could get him out of this, and one was a cantrip. He shrugged, "just looking for someone." Not a lie. But if she knew this criminal, he oughtn't mention them and risk them knowing he was coming after them.

Naivora decided to be a little more open with the man, as he showed no signs of opening up by himself. Maybe if she was more relaxed... "Naivora Duskflame," she said, offering him a hand and trying to expel all fear from her voice. "Adventuring wizard and... well, that's kind of it actually." She knew there was more she could say, but there were some secrets she had to keep, even from her closest friends. "Who are you looking for?" she added. "It's possible I could help in some way."
(Hnnn I should probably go to sleep soon but I'm not tired...)

"Grim Hawthorn." He took her hand and shook it firmly, "it's a pleasure." He didn't answer her question about who he was looking for. She didn't need to know.

"Well..." Naivora was hesitant, sending the man's distrust. "Uhm... What do you do? For... a job? Or hobbies?" She flinched slightly at her pitiful attempt at conversation. She never had been a good talker.
(Hey sorry I'm not going to be on for the rest of the day something came up at school)

OOC: Alright, that's fine.
BIC: Grim stifled a snicker at this notion: two people in the middle of a forest, talking about hobbies.
"Magical support for various militia." Grim offered, "now you tell me, and no saying 'adventuring'!"

( Dragons Vein TheFunnyRobot in case you didn't notice you both are free to rp) "Well..." Naivora paused. What exactly did she do? She hadn't really had a life until she met Nathuulia the first time, and then life moved so quickly she barely had time to do anything else. She sighed, brushing another strand of black hair out if her eyes. "I guess... you could say I'm a prophet." The words felt strange in her mouth, but they felt better than lies. It was true- at least, she believed it. The lady had spoken to her, and she was forced to oblige.
