i enjoyed every bit of what he said there. even the twigkit part. i was hoping shadowclan would somehow trick thunderclan into getting the lungwort and keeping twigit, a prophecy cat, believing they need both to survive.

I honestly still disagree with him, and I'm getting serious vibes from the start of WW2. Germany didn't even start WW1- they were sucked into it along with several other countries as a result of several alliances, and in the end Europe and France lumped all the war crimes on them and just left them there, "cause they deserved it, and deserved to suffer". Now I know a lot of things started WW2, but one of them was definitely a result of misplaced hatred and insults- and a resulting retaliation.
In fact, Europe admitted that that was a mistake- and they made up for it by, instead of making the Germans suffer after WW2, they helped them and tried to mend their relations- not destroy them even more. If two waring countries don't make amends one way or another at the end of a war, they're due to go to war again.
Onestar turned to bad situation into a worse one. ShadowClan were already losing it- and Onestar just gave them another reason to hate the clans and want to separate from them. Hate is never the answer, it never was and it never will be.
I agree ShadowClan are in a bad state. But I don't agree that the clans should just standby and worsen their relations with ShC and just give them more reasons to become more rogue-like.

Tbh, I thought Onestar was pretty cruel when he said that. I've always disliked him, but I never thought he'd be cruel like that. Even some cats from his own Clan blamed him for not letting ShadowClan get the herb.

ShadowClan has done wrong and I do think they deserve some sort of punishment for their actions, but only because right now it seems like it'll be the only way they'll learn their lesson. That being said though, I'll honestly have to disagree. What Onestar did was cruel. Yes, they should've listened, but is it really fair to entirely blame ShadowClan for something the rogues did? Kits and elders were dying. Did they deserve their fate? Really, all Onestar did was give ShadowClan an even bigger reason to resent the other Clans.

I don't entirely agree. Onestar was letting elders and kittens die just because he blamed them for what the rogues did. I don't get it? How could that be their fault? Pretty sure he was breaking the Code and giving ShadowClan a great reason to resent the Clans and want to turn against them. It's basically his fault that ShadowClan did their final push against Rowanstar's leadership, even though some of it was Rowanstar's own fault.

Well, I think it was noted that Onestar had gone from an ultranationalist to an extremist within his own Clan by that point, probably due to his running out of lives. I don't think his judgement was entirely sound (not that it ever has been post-TNP). Onestar was willing to let not only warriors and apprentices die, but innocent kits and elders. Onestar had no logical reason to be so possessive of the herb. WindClan didn't have a need for it; ShadowClan did.

Rowanstar basically became Onestar tbh, situation wise, with his clan being a complete mess, but it's worse with Rowan since he actually got his deputy training. Honestly I sorta agree with One too, the sickness is probably punishment anyways.

as much as ShadowClan is a wreck, even if you believe the rebels deserve death (which I'm not debating, just establishing), it's not just the rebels who are in danger--good cats (including kits and elders) are also threatened
he's not obligated to send herbs, but saying it's because ShadowClan deserves to die (as opposed to there being sickness in WindClan too or something like that) is...a bit of an alarming thing for a Clan leader, especially when he's talking about the one Clan that doesn't even threaten his borders
like he's not even looking out for WindClan he's just being spiteful toward the ShadowClan cats who need help because some of the others are jerks
