I happened to stumble upon this series on Inbali Iserles's website and have come to appreciate it greatly over the span of a few days. There's only one book out right now (Foxcraft: The Taken), but another one is coming up (Foxcraft: The Elders).
Although I haven't read the full version of The Taken yet, what I've seen on the preview has been amazing. The words all come together in a sort of gentle current, like that of a calm stream, which makes Foxcraft soothing yet invigorating to read. I cannot put into words how good the writing is.
The idea as a whole is very intriguing and unique. Foxes are typically portrayed as deceitful and heartless, so it's a very great experience to be able to glimpse their lives from a more. . . .original standpoint.
Overall, I'd rate it 10/10 (so far, at least).
P.S. The Scholastic Foxcraft website has previews for both The Taken and The Elders. It's easy to find it; just search 'Foxcraft' and it will (probably) be the second one down. I don't know whether it's against the rules for me to provide a link, so I'll just leave it at that.

This book series is really good. I'm kind of sad it's only a trilogy, but maybe there'll be more trilogy series about Foxcraft in the future.
It's so interesting seeing our world from a fox's POV, and seeing them in a new light. Lots of foxes in books are often mean tricksters like someone said above, and although that's kind of true in this series, they have more pride in themselves and they really don't feel evil or mean at all (I mean, besides the antagonists). It sheds a new light on foxes that reminds me of how wolves were villianized.
I wasn't quite sure what to think of foxes mixed with magic, but I absolutely love how it's been incorporated; something about their magic seems to have a more natural feel that sort of fits the things a fox can do rather than it feeling like some kind of video game made book.
Does anyone happen to know which books or series she wrote on Warriors? I've never looked that up before. If she's the one who wrote OotS, I'm really surprised with her work. That series isn't the best one out of Warriors :/

She—Inbali Iserles — wrote three of the Survivors books — Darkness Falls, The Endless Lake, and Storm of Dogs. I don't recall her having written any Warriors or Seekers books.
