( It's all good, no need to be sorry! It's the same on our ends! I hope everything is good! There's nothing specific you really need to know! ouo Just give them something golden that people would recognize them for like you had to do with Crystal. Everything else you can decide for yourself what to use! ouo )

( Okay, so! *rubs hands together*
Scorch, we were thinking it might be good if you make a new character. ouo We don't want to put you on the spot or force you to make someone you don't want to, so if you have changed your mind about being willing to add a character, that's totally fine. We just know a lot about what is going to happen in the RP and thought that it might be easier if you had a little more control and choices by having a second character to control during all of this. )

Besnik "Bes" Tadd ❝ What's so remarkable about love at first sight? It's when people have been looking at each other for years that it becomes remarkable. ❞ ─ son of cupid ─ Bes couldn't help it; he was intrigued. He leaned towards the daughter of Jupiter as they walked, eyes sharper and shining. "Wait, really? You've had to fight monsters on a train before? When did this happen?" He'd heard plenty of tales about Crystal, some of which may or may not have been true, but a train tale had never been relayed to him. "Were you alone, or did you have other campers or something as backup? Was it only one monster or were there multiple? Where were you, and did the mortals notice something was wrong? Did-"
He cut himself off. Crap, he'd almost rambled off again, hadn't he? Dude, cool it. You're making yourself look like some lame fanboy. "Sorry. There's wild stories for demigods, and then there's wild stories, y'know? Not a lot of us see that kind of fun action." He nodded slightly at when Crystal admitted she'd never had a plan; he was surprised, but at the same time, felt like he should have expected it, especially since Crystal was probably sent into some of the more dangerous missions where things were constantly changing on the battlefield. "Sounds about right, honestly."

Besnik "Bes" Tadd ❝ What's so remarkable about love at first sight? It's when people have been looking at each other for years that it becomes remarkable. ❞ ─ son of cupid ─ Bes's smile faltered a little. "To be honest, no. There. . . aren't a lot of you running around, in my defense." Even if the Big Three had broken their promise more than a couple of times, they still hadn't had enough children to where it was as common to bump into one in camp as it was to bump into one of the sons of Mars or Mercury, or Venus. "But. . . right. You definitely have a point." He pulled his bag up higher on his shoulder as he tried to think. "If we can't catch a flight, walking won't hurt us. I almost considered a train, since it wouldn't drop out of the sky, but. . . there'd be a bigger chance of monsters, both on the train and actually trying to follow it. . ."
He looked back at the daughter of Jupiter, a question crossing his mind. "Most of the time, the lot of us have to wing it whenever we go on quests. Like, yeah, there is usually a general plan, kind of like what we know now: 'Go here and do this,' or, 'Go fight this.' But even the kids of the strategy and knowledge gods can have their plans ruined when something unexpected happens. Which, like, is almost always. How do you deal with it? How often do ypu have to wing it?"

Anatoly Blayke ❝ A hero can go anywhere, challenge anyone, as long as he has the nerve. ❞ ─ son of phanes ─ "It sure as hell will be." A small grin spread across the reproduction protogenoi's son's face as they spoke. Anatoly listened intently to his friend as he patted himself dry with a second towel, nodding to show he was paying attention. It was a huge relief to him that he'd have his closest friend at Camp Golden Age at his side, at least until he met up with the other two demigods from Camp, but. . . it was after EJ would have to leave that still worried him.
"Oh, Robber's Cave State Park?" Anatoly had heard of it; some kids from Oklahoma had mentioned living nearby and seeing tourists come from all over the country to visit it. Other than that, though? He really had no idea what the place was like. There were a. . . few lakes, right? He thought he remembered someone saying that. "At least it's a well-known place. It would have been a pain if we were given a vague hint and had to figure it out for ourselves." That had happened to other demigods before. Anatoly figured that the gods were acknowledging the severity of this situation this time, though, and were more keen to get to the point. At EJ's next comment, Anatoly snorted, but couldn't help a small smirk. "My hero," he teased, gently elbowing him.
As EJ left, Anatoly reached for his clothes that were on the top of the sink. He was glad he'd picked the t-shirt and jeans out; not expensive enough to be a waste if he got attacked and they got damaged, but made with decent material that was hard to rip, the clothes were almost perfect to start a journey in. All that he needed was another change of clothes, his weapon, some battle supplies, and he figured he'd be good. "Alright. I'll only take. . . oh, maybe ten minutes. I'll need to find someone to try and watch Brace, but-" his golden eyes flicked up and narrowed on the snake in suspicion. "He'll probably find a way to follow us anyways. He always does."
Brace's tongue slipped out and then back in. No-one could contain him. He was a master of sneak.

Shephi Ailein ❝ When you've seen so much, you start to bee-lieve in anything. ❞ ─ son of aristaeus ─ Shephi flashed a cheerful grin up at his friend, raising his hand in a two-finger salute to the son of Hebe before hurriedly taking the basket. "I'll also keep an eye out for any monsters if we have to go out beyond the barrier. I'll ask any bees we find out there to do the same for us! They'll be our eyes in the sky." His eyes narrowed as he followed his friend out into camp, blinking blearily after a moment to get used to the glaring sun above. It was almost always sunny in Camp Half-Blood, which was nice and all, but. . . he longed for the scent of a field of flowers just after it had stormed, the dark clouds that light up with lightning. Storms were just as pretty as normal sunny days, after all, and were a nice change of space!
As they passed by the Ares cabin, Shephi walked closer to Finni to the point of their arms brushing. The Ares cabin had never singled them out or anything, but their battle-ready attitudes always made Shephi reluctant to make eye contact, especially so early in the morning. Despite this brief flash of cautiousness as they passed, however, Shephi's grin returned, thinking of a pun to what he'd just said. "They'll be sky spies," he whispered. "Telling us when to run. Flee bees."
Finni wasn't the only one who noticed the murmurs around camp. Someone had obviously gotten a prophecy or a quest, that much Shephi was certain about. Maybe even both? He couldn't tell who it was, though; there were just vague whispers here and there. No-one was truly awake enough yet to have gotten the details, but he was sure there would be full-blown gossip by the time he and Finni returned from their flower-picking escapade. He made a mental note to himself to keep an eye out for anything useful the person may need if they were going to be sent out any time soon, or something that would make them happy. Heck, honey wouldn't hurt, right? Even if the person chosen didn't like to eat honey, it'd still be good for soothing any wounds if they were short on ambrosia and nectar?
A new thought came into mind as they passed the crafts building. "Hey, hey!" Shephi excitedly took Finni's hand, giving it a little squeeze as he beamed up at the slightly taller boy. "How about we make new flower pots later? So we can replant some of these flowers?" Picking them was great, but he always felt bad about technically killing them. Plus it was easier on Finni; even if he could put life back into his flowers, Shephi was always worried he may overexert himself. He loved watching Finni when he used his powers, but if he could keep Finni from having to do it for as long as he could get away with it, just to make sure Finni would have more energy at the end of the day, he would do whatever was in his power.

Besnik "Bes" Tadd ❝ What's so remarkable about love at first sight? It's when people have been looking at each other for years that it becomes remarkable. ❞ ─ son of cupid ─ Cabs could be a monster's disguise? Sure, he'd heard of a couple instances where car rides could go terribly wrong for demigods, especially when it involved public transportation and not the demigod's own vehicle, but... he wouldn't have ever guessed it was that bad. Bes frowned and glanced sideways at Crystal, hands twitching nervously at his side for a moment. If even the greatest warrior in Camp Jupiter was wary of riding a bus or taking a cab, it didn't instill the most confidence in Bes, either. Then again, they didn't have much of a choice. They could walk there, sure, but how long would that take? If the prophecy was so important, it would be a good idea to complete the quest as soon as possible, right? Besides, the Camp Half-Blood representative and the representative of that. . . other camp. . . wouldn't want to be kept waiting for long, right? Bes figured it wouldn't be a great first impression to walk up to the two of them if they had been waiting a week for them to arrive. Plus they had just as much of a chance of being attacked alone, walking, roughing it out in the woods, right?
"I won't let you down if a fight comes up," he vowed, giving the daughter of Jupiter a grin that he hoped looked confident and reassuring, even if it felt more like a weird and forced twitch of his lips. "If push comes to shove, we could maybe even get plane tickets?" His eyes scanned the treeline of the woods around the two of them. "There's less of a chance for monsters to be there, right? There are a few monsters capable of flight, but those who aren't don't usually try to trap themselves. If they caused too much damage, the plane could start to plummet, and then they'd die even if the demigod didn't finish them off first."
He didn't bother trying to bring up the fact that Crystal was the daughter of Jupiter. He didn't know if she was entirely fond of her connection to her father, or if she felt like it was more of a burden. He didn't want to annoy her with, 'Well, your dad owns the sky, so it should be okay!' He knew that wasn't always the case, anyways, even with the kids that Jupiter actually liked. Jupiter had the same habit of choosing when he was and wasn't helpful, just like any of the other gods Bes had learned about. He just figured that flying would be safer for demigods than walking or driving. Unless they're Neptune or Pluto's kids, but... let's not think about that, Bes.

Besnik "Bes" Tadd ❝ What's so remarkable about love at first sight? It's when people have been looking at each other for years that it becomes remarkable. ❞ ─ son of cupid ─ Besnik smiled and fell in line behind Crystal, looking over his shoulder one last time to take in the sight of Camp Jupiter. He'd be back in no time, returning to the monontonous routine he'd gone along with for years, but for now he was as free as a bird carried by the winds. Rubbing his hands together, he breathed in as they left the warcamp and tried to steady his ever quickening heartbeat.
"We might be able to catch a bus to get into town!" he chirped after a few minutes, the black sheen of the highway coming into view. "A bus usually passes by around this time. From there we could find an actual taxi, or. . . something. I have enough money to get them to drive a couple hours, maybe more, but it all depends on whether the cabbi is actually willing to do it." He grinned at her, excitement making his eyes flare to life with light. "Unfortunately taxi's can't take us the entire way; we'll have to camp here and there."
He stopped beside the road and looked both ways, going quiet now. It was always a good idea to listen out for monsters at this point; the beasts were drawn close to the camps, not creeping close enough to be killed from afar but staying nearby in case lone demigods decided to venture out during a quest. Even the sound of passing cars drew in some monsters. . . well, anything that hinted that there was sign of human life nearby. Besides, monsters or not, they'd have to listen for traffic, to flag down any bus, and if it didn't come, possibly have to hitchhike.

( *raises hand out of hole in the floor* yes hello I am an existing person I'm so sorry guys. @_@ This week has been really hectic. There's a set of twins my mom raised a long time ago that I consider to be my older brother and sister. About a week ago, their biological mom died of a drug overdose paired with her COPD, and they - and my own mama, who was close with her - are devastated. Mama is having heart complications, and I'm also having health issues we've been trying to get in line. That, paired with Geology and the project I'm trying to finish up, has really drained me. I promise I haven't quit and I'm not trying to avoid this RP, I'm just running on empty. I'll reply when I can. )

Anatoly Blayke ❝ A hero can go anywhere, challenge anyone, as long as he has the nerve. ❞ ─ son of phanes ─ Brace the anaconda obediently slithered back up onto the top of the shower, satisfied with how soaked he had managed to get the son of Chronos-Aeon. He would have preferred to give the boy more of his soft-scaled cuddles, but he figured that would have to wait until another time. He could wait, he figured.
"Share the clean?" Anatoly crossed his arms over his chest and snorted, pale golden eyes flicking up to study his serpent. "More like he wanted to be a butt. He's like a child who tries to hug someone after playing in a mud pile." He shook his head fondly, though, then smiled gently at EJ as he listened. ...well, until he heard the news, anyway.
A quest? Well, this was. . . unexpected. While he had helped others out for their quests, and had been on a fair amount of missions before, he'd never been a part of a quest-quest. Nothing so official. He'd certainly never been a part of a prophecy before, but what really bothered him overall was that the prophecy mentioned New Rome and the 'daughter of an underground promise'. Underground promise? That had to be Styx, right? So that. . . could only mean that. . . Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter were involved.
He couldn't exactly say he wasn't unnerved by that. The entire reason that Camp Golden Age was created in the first place was because the demigod children of the titans and protogenoi weren't widely accepted by the Greek and Roman gods or their children, especially after what had happened during the second titanomachy and Gaea's war. For Pete's sake, the Roman and Greek camps didn't even have the best relationship with each other! How would these two women feel about this little meet-up? Finally, who was this child in a dark flower? This was definitely going to be one handful of a mission, wasn't it? "That's. . . really something," he finally breathed, sounding as if someone had sucked most of his energy out of him with a vacuum.
Anatoly almost looked like he could kiss EJ when the time-reversing demigod said he'd have his back. "What would I do without you, EJ?" He reached out and clasped EJ's shoulder in return, giving him a small grin and a squeeze. "Let me get dressed, and then you can tell me where we're heading so I can pack and prepare. I'll let the directors know I want you with me."

Besnik "Bes" Tadd ❝ What's so remarkable about love at first sight? It's when people have been looking at each other for years that it becomes remarkable. ❞ ─ son of cupid ─ "How I found out-?" Besnik's eyes stretched wide in astonishment. "Crystal, it's been really slow these past few days. Same old same old. Of course everyone would know the instant a prophecy and quest is received! It had to be a pretty big deal if Lupa herself came to the cohorts, too." He straightened and grinned at her. "I'm pretty decent in combat! I know you're, like, the queen of kicking butt and taking names, but it's never a bad thing for someone to have your back just in case, right?" Oh, please agree. If he had to stay in this boring routine any longer his head would likely pop!
As Crystal accidentally flashed her tattoo, Besnik took a moment to admire - and envy - it. She was by far the most decorated soldier here at Camp Jupiter, and it was impossible not to look up to her in some way. She had truly been blessed by the gods, but her own talent and strength had shined through without the gifts and help she'd gotten. She was the perfect soldier, the perfect demigod, and the perfect hero. Of course, this garnered just as much criticism from the rest of camp; many believed that quests were just handed to her. Sure, she had proved herself capable of completing them with the best results, but it had gotten to the point where people felt that no-one else would be given a prophecy while she was here.
Wait. What had she just said? Besnik glanced up at the daughter of Jupiter with a look of astounding gratitude and hope. "Th-thank you! I'll be there in a flash! You won't regret this!" And off he went, bolting right back to his cohort. The majority of the demigods he bunked with were awake now, and all cast confused and annoyed glances as he rushed to get his backpack packed with three changes of clothes, some energy bars, his stash of ambrosia, and his weapon. He gave them little thought until he was already packed, and upon finishing, grabbed a little girl off of her bed and gave her a big hug. "See you later, Marie!" he chirped. "I'm going with Crystal!"
The girl, another child of Cupid, huffed and hugged her brother back. "Be safe. Please don't flirt with her; she'll mop the floor with you."
Besnik laughed and saluted. "Aye-aye!" With that he took off once again. It didn't take him long to do a very impressive slide to a stop next to Crystal by the camp exit, if he did say so himself. "I am so ready for this," he panted, his body practically vibrating in excitement. "Thank you again, ma'am."
