(Alright Nightfeather I'll keep Aizen open for your character. x3)
(Monica is a female who crossdresses as a male because her family was known as being strong Military generals, and she didn't want to let her father down so she decided to pretend to be a male. However her mother still wanted a daughter so she has a double like.)
"Same to you Dimitri." Monica said putting on a smile before turning her gaze back to the market. "Do you have a time limit of how long you can be out?" She questioned only curious because if he didn't she would waste time looking at random things like she normally did when she had free time like this. Her like as Monica, and her life as Mars was quite different. Mars would simply get what was needed, skip the chatting, and finish the mission, while Monica liked to goof around, and be friendly with the nearby people. Monica's true personality was the one she used as Monica, Mars was a forced personality based on how her father acted. Luckily she had managed to keep the Mars, and Monica parts of herself separate enough so that no one has guessed she was the same person. "So what's the first thing on the list?" She questioned as she looked at a nearby stand that was selling herbs, and spices.

((Hiiii this looks really cool
Mycle Bái | 18 | Pansexual | Snow White/Royalty | Human
Mycle can be described as "tiny," though most of that comes from his demeanor than his actual appearance. He's a relatively short boy who travels by wheelchair thanks to his cerebral palsy. With a round face, dark eyes, and a small nose, Mycle's soft features give him a meek, squishable look. He has jet-black hair and pale skin with golden undertones. / Upon first impression, Mycle is almost ridiculously shy and diffident, usually unable to meet the eyes of the person he's talking to. Soft-spoken and anxious, Mycle can quickly garner sympathy, and he has not only learned but has grown adept at manipulation via that pity. Imaginative, empathetic, and clever, he's able to twist people's opinion in his favor through a high level of knowledge about the human nature, gained through books and people watching. In appearing quiet but uttering strong opinions and rather morbid insights when he speaks while showing incredible kindness to those lower in status, he is much of an enigma amongst servants and when disguised in town. / Mycle was raised by his stepmother, whose grew jealous of him from hearing remark after remark about his "beautiful soul," and how he'd be a great leader - maybe even better than her. Her jealousy manifested into cold disdain. After struggling with harsh self-loathing and anxiety, Mycle finally broke through his self-wrought barrier and began traveling outside the castle.
He has only a less-than-friendly stepmother to call family. | He has a little dog named Poppy. Fierce, loyal, and protective, Poppy is able to sense when he is about to have a seizure. | He becomes easily infatuated, but they often fade before growing into a crush due to his idealization of romance | Kings
Is he okay? I kinda want to make a form/rp the stepmother as well, I'm finding her fascinating as a character who, rather than physical beauty, prizes her own beautifully kind and elegant nature that she sees being a great ruler almost like a competition - and then wants to kill off Mycle way before his coronation to keep her crown))

{I really need to start refreshing the page before I answer... willowflower Sure, go ahead! He looks good, but I'm kind of sleep deprived right now, so I'll need to read over a bunch of stuff later. Alligator Oh, feel free to post a starter if you'd like. There's no real preference. Sabby The Caddy Ahh I see} Dmitri hummed and peered up at the sun, squinting his eyes for a moment. "I think... I have to be back by one, perhaps? I'm not sure, but I don't want to be out too much later than noon." He never knew whether or not his stepmother would get upset with him. Some days, she let him off because he was back in time to clean after her own mess. Other times, she got angry with him for not being back to cook lunch. She was unpredictable, so he always made it a point to not stay out later than an hour and a half after noon. Lunch could usually wait until two, if they weren't all that hungry. "Umm, right, first thing..." Dmitri looked at the list in his hands, and then looked up to look around. "Let's see, I think it's that one over there." He began to lead her towards a tent with some fresh fruits and vegetables.

Briar sat at the front counter of Drybark's Apothecary, staring out at the people passing by and glancing over at strangers browsing shelves lined in the lobby of the small building. Her finger drew small circles in dust on the desk left from so many dried leaves that had been crumpled there. Her thoughts wandered, listening out still in case Mistress called her to the back. She usually wouldn't during store hours, but emergencies could always happen. The strip of sassafras root between her teeth had started to lose its flavor, taking on a more unpleasant, medicinal taste. At around noon, her old mistress would take her place for the afternoon while Briar ran the needed deliveries through town. A love potion for some teenager, hair tonic, back ache poultice, good luck charms. Her list had gotten even longer today.
Briar felt a scraggled hand on her shoulder, the joints like knotted angry wood. Her mistress was dismissing her early, noting her restlessness with the sun shining so lovely outside. The young girl smiled and headed into the back of the shop to change into summer robes. During the hot weather, rainy though it can be, she had a set of lighter cream colored robes as opposed to the dark browns and blacks of her thick work robes. She looked herself over in the mirror, tied back her hair, and left with the satchel of delivery goods out into the market streets. Briar looked at the scribbled names and addresses on her scrap of paper, organizing her route as she walked.

((I greatly apologize for not being on! I was horribly sick, and technology was making it worse, so I had to stick away from the computer screen. Dx But I am here now and (more or less) way better!))
"Thanks, since there's no way I'm making one for myself." Kairos said with a nervous, awkward laugh. He was starting to calm down in her presence. Aella seemed nice and even if she was that "horrible" witch, there was every possibility that it was all lies and she was actually just a really nice person. So far, that's what he was thinking. He plucked the crown from his head so that he could look at it and was rather impressed, and maybe a bit jealous, to see that it was perfectly woven. "You really do have a hand for making flower crowns." Kai said as he replaced the crown back on his head and watched her work. "So where do you live?" He asked casually. Even if she did say in the forest, he wasn't sure he would care so much now. Most of his suspicions and wariness had fallen away. There was no way she could be "evil."

"I think it might just be most things to do with nature," Aella hummed, not being modest at all. She knows she's good at certain things, so why should she pretend not to be. "I think the forest just isn't your thing. I'm sure you're good at whatever you do in the town." She didn't ask what exactly it was that he did. She didn't care so long as he wasn't hurting her or the forest in any way. He was nice. "Oh, I live in the tower. It's not far from here." She spoke as though he should know what the tower was. Everything in the forest knew, so it didn't occur to her that people in the town wouldn't.

"Yeah, I'm not very in tune with nature." Kairos agreed, a little bummed as he glared at a nearby flower. When she mentioned the tower, he frowned a little. "Tower? What tower are you talking about?" As far as he knew, there weren't any towers... well, maybe some towers around the castle, but that was different. This girl was definitely not talking about the towers surrounding the castle. Kai would've recognized her if she was. He knew everyone that lived in the tower -- it was part of being a knight. Knowing those kinds of things and the people that came in and out were of the utmost importance to keep the royal family safe, and blah, blah, blah. Some days, he wondered why he wanted to become a knight in the first place.

"My tower, in the forest." Aella blinked, as though the idea of anyone not knowing about it was ludicrous. She had never left the forest, so she didn't know that nobody knew of her forest though they knew of her. "Do townspeople not know about my tower? Do you want me to show you?" She sounded eager, despite how unassuming and slightly suspicious her tower may have seemed. She wanted the opportunity to show someone her tower for once. It was the only home she knew. It would be nice to share that.

"Umm... yeah, I'm sorry, but no one knows about." Kairos replied. How could people know about the witch, but not about the tower? At her offering to show Kai her tower, he was silent for a moment. Hanging out with this mysterious definite witch in a little meadow making flower crowns was one thing, but to go back to her tower? Well... that was another thing. A far scarier, more worrying thing. What if she just wanted to take him back to her castle so she could kill him or something? Finally, Kairos replied; "Sure. I'd love to see your tower." Oh goodness. What had he gotten himself into?

Aella smiled happily. "Great! Isolde, come here." Isolde climbed back on Aella's shoulders, wrapping herself around her before Aella stood up. Aella took Kai's hand in hers and started leading him out of the clearing and through the forest again. This time, she didn't stop to make sure his dog was following. The walk was a couple of minutes long, but the forest wasn't that big, so it didn't take long before they were pushing through the bushes into the large area where her tower stood. "Here! This is home!" She let go of his hand in favor of walking up to the door and pushing it open. "It's a bit messy, but nobody ever comes by." Her smile seemed to drop for a split second before it was back full force.

Monica nodded at his response of when he had to be back so she would plan to stay on task as much as her mind would allow her. "Alright so fresh fruit it is~" She commented, and began following him for a few moments before she took the lead. Her eyes scanned the stall carefully she wasn't planning on getting anything mainly because of the thief from earlier, but also because she had her own servants to take care of the food, and such. "So what's your mistress like?" She questioned being a noble, and a army general she didn't really do servant work rather she had her own servants, well Monica didn't, but Mars had a manor with quite a few servants who luckily didn't catch on that their master was indeed a girl. Mars was an alright master at least Monica thought she was since she only asked for the bare minimum of stuff from cleaning, and cooking. Mars allowed many breaks, and even brought in his "sister" Monica to take care of the garden for him.

Dmitri paused as he scanned over the fruits over the stalls. He hesitated in answering. "My mistress is..." How could he explain his stepmother without saying anything that could give him away. "She... she loves her children a lot, I believe." She spoiled them rotten, actually. But that had to count for something, right? "She doesn't like getting her hands dirty, but I don't mind cleaning for her. She's busy a lot of the time, since her husband died a few years ago and she had to take over. She... does what she can, with all of the things left to her." He thought that answer was satisfactory. He really couldn't say anything other than that, because that would turn into some uncomfortable discussion on 'punishments' and 'there are a few servants but I do most of the work' and other things he wouldn't dare admit.

((Yes, I got on right when you said that. XD I could've sworn that I replied to you, but apparently I did not. Uno momento.))
Kai waited to make sure that Nyx was following after them before he allowed himself to be dragged along by Aella. That dog was his life, and there was no way he was potentially leaving her behind. Nyx trotted after them, sniffing around at everything, excited about finally being able to explore these unexplored forests. Well, unexplored for the most part. Once he was sure that Nyx was following, he let Aella drag him as much as he wanted. As they approached the tower, he looked up at it, amazed at how he had never been aware of its existence. "I can't believed this has been here all this time, and I never knew." He mumbled.

The inside of the tower, or at least the first floor, had a table, a few chairs, and shelves of books lining the walls. Vines grew along a few stones and books and other material items were scattered carelessly. Some small stone statues were placed around the room too. "Well, it's not like there's anyone who bothers to tell people whenever they leave," Aella said, walking inside and putting a few books on their shelves. "I thought it might have been common knowledge, but maybe it's just the Forest and the people of Novus..." She hummed to herself, brushing off some dust on the cover of a book she hadn't picked up in a long time. The creatures in Novus knew more about her than the people of Aurum did, but they didn't really go into the forest either. Some of the things were more than they could handle, and everyone in the forest was rather territorial. Aella was considered a part of the forest, so it was really a miracle that nothing had attacked Kai when he had seemed scared of her.

As Nyx came rushing in, Kai scooped her up in his arms and then continued to look around, the dog wriggling angrily in his arms at being stopped from exploration. "Not entirely common knowledge, I guess. There's rumors about a witch living out here, but I always thought it was some silly little wives' tale. I didn't ever believe they were... right." He explained as he continued to look around the room before finally looking back at her. Even if he hadn't entirely believed the whisperings of the Witch of Mortem Forest, he still had never bothered to come out here. The fear that it might be real was always too much for him.

"There's always a little bit of truth to myths!" Aella said cheerfully. "I think one of my books said that. I don't remember which one." She let Isolde climb off her shoulders so she could walk around. "Anyway, this is home sweet home for me. I've lived here for nineteen years! Um, I think. That's what the forest tells me." She tilted to her head, listening to the light rustle of the trees outside that told her that she was correct. She never had the concept of time that everybody else had. She didn't have a schedule, so all she knew was night and day. The forest came track for her, and it always did something for her birthday, whatever that was. Aella didn't really get it, but it was nice to know how old she was. The only age she cared about was when she had turned fourteen and she had dreamt of finding a prince to save her. That idea had been discarded rather quickly.

"I guess sometimes there's a lot of truths to myths, too." Kai replied. He had also heard that line from some little fairy tale he had been told as a young child, but he had never paid it much mind. Now, it seemed like disregarding that had been a horrible idea. In his arms, Nyx started wriggling and trying to escape more now that the cat was away from Aella. The dog wanted nothing more than to run over and sniff her, too, but Kai kept the dog contained. "So why have you been here all this time? Why have you never come into town or something?" He hoped that he wasn't prying too much. He was generally curious about the basis of why Aella had been locked away here for so long. Maybe she hadn't been and she had truly wanted to stay.

Aella giggled as she saw Nyx trying to escape. She approached the two of them to scratch the dog behind the ears. "Uh, I guess the easiest way to put this is that I'm not allowed to," she said, her words a little unsure. She didn't really care whether or not anybody knew, because she didn't know any better. "The forest told me the story, but I can never get the details. Um, I think there was a curse, or something? I can't leave the forest, and unless someone from outside talks to me first, I can't talk to them. Does that make sense?" She looked up at him with a curiously innocent expression. She really had no idea how odd this was. "Otherwise, I would have loved to go out to town. It seems like a nice place."

(Heyyy, sorry it took so long to write a start-up ) Mycle consciously slowed his breathing as he gathered his things in an attempt to ease the knot of anxiety building in his stomach. He caught his own gaze in the mirror and glared into it. "You can do this," he told the reflective glass. "You did it before. You can do it again." He gave his reflection a decisive nod, then dropped his head in his hands and groaned. "I need friends," he mumbled as he closed his bag and nearly ran over Poppy when wheeling towards the door. The caramel toy poodle yelped and threw such an indignant look Mycle couldn't help but snicker into his hands. "We're going out again, Poppy," he said. The dog's ears perked up and Poppy padded over to Mycle's side, but Mycle failed to move afterwards. Poppy threw Mycle a look, who was staring at the door. His hands hovered uncertainly over the wheels. He laughed, weak and high-pitched. "You know how you keep rehearsing something in your head but when the time comes you just can't - and then you're just, you know, lingering?" Silence responded. Mycle hesitated for a few minutes longer, carefully breathing and muttering to himself under his breath. Finally, he let himself out of his room, slowly wheeling down the long hall. The high ceilings and enormous windows granting view of the palace gardens outside gave a grand air that only made Mycle shrink in his seat. He went to the throne room, his speed decreasing the closer he got to the doors. Then he was staring at those doors. Poppy made a small sound next to him. "Yeah, yeah, I know," Mycle said. "I just - yeah." He nodded to the guards standing on duty, who were carefully Not Looking and opened the doors for him to wheel through, Poppy trailing after him. The queen looked up from her conversation with another guard, looking just faintly annoyed. "Going out, are you?" she said. Mycle attempted to shrink back further. He only nodded. Her gaze raked over him. "That dress makes you look like a girl," she sniffed. Mycle flushed and twisted his hands in the skirt. "I liked it," he muttered, too low for the queen to hear. "Then again maybe that's what you're going for," she continued with a dismissive flick of her hand. "Be back before dinner. Or I'll assume you've went and gotten yourself killed." Mycle flinched and hurried out of there. He tugged his hood over his head as he passed through the gates so that people wouldn't spare him a second glance and wheeled into the village. The crowd rumbled around him, the chaos and the din nearly overwhelming his senses. Terrified and threatened with overstimulation, Mycle loved it here. The suffocating fear hovering in the large emptiness of the castle was nowhere near this absolute thrill.
He quite liked shopping - especially from bored looking vendors or sad empty shops, where a purchase and a smile seemed to ease the lines from the people's faces.Mycle wheeled over to a nearby stall, eyeing the fresh fruit.
