Key spent most of his time in limbo pulling pranks on people. Most of them were harmless fun - knocking papers onto the floor, moving people's possessions, pulling chairs out from people as they're sitting. Things that wouldn't hurt a normal person, and things that would get a laugh out of after the event. He had been in the middle of setting up a prank when he had been pulled away from it. The pull had been vicious and for the split moment he had almost lost himself to the limbo around him. The pain from the pull had been so shocking in his painless existence he had nearly whited out.
Seemingly, he could no longer leave their side without his vision going dark. In the time that they had spent in the hospital, Key had hovered near the door, reading a book that he had brought with him after his mysterious death. It changed every time he read it, and although he didn't know why, it was a welcome change when he was unable to prank. He wasn't the type of ghost to go around haunting hospitals in fear of him actually killing someone.

"Alright," Alexa said, following her out the door. As soon as her back was turned, she allowed her body to shake a few moments, then recomposed herself. The shudder had allowed the metaphysical weight of the bond to settle more comfortably over her. It was still terrifying, but she was already adjusting to it. And it would go away as soon as her promise was fulfilled. She just had to get there first. So she reorganized her thoughts, and readied directions towards her family's home for when Fae asked, if she did.
