Whistling a jovial tune, Kyoko wandered around the area, hoping she could find a bush full of blackberries to eat. Even though it wasn't much, it was better than potentially getting whacked with a broom by the baker. Plus, the pink haired girl who sometimes helped out at the bakery–Kyoko couldn't help but nickname her Strawberry Shortcake–gave off bizarre yet familiar vibes. Her thoughts were interrupted when she saw a cloaked individual, instantly growing suspicious. "Hey, you," She called, sauntering over to Nico, "What are you doin' around here with that cloak?"

"Whew! Made it back." Calypso laughed as she made her way into the parlor of the palace, pulling her chest of props behind her. Stopping for a moment to take in the ornate room around her, her mood seemed to have picked up as she began to hum. Continuing on her way, she moved over to a couch near a wall, droping her cargo and plopping onto the soft cushions. Using her foot to throw the lid open, the dancer began to dig through the contents of the trunk until she finally removed a small mirror. Taking a quick look at the glass, she frowned when when she saw the tired bags under her eyes. "I'm such a mess..." Calypso sighed, placing the mirror down next to her, she bent back over and retrieved some material to hide her tiredness caused by both not being able to get a solid nights sleep, then practicing her acts all morning. Normally she never used such things, but it never hurt to have it as back up. Dropping the stuff back into the chest when she was done, she began humming again, content that that problem was solved. As a final preparation, Calypso adjusted the mirror so it stood on its own and began to tie her black hair up with a purple ribbon. She couldn't seem to remember where she had gotten it from, but it held sentimental value to her.

Smokey's laid back attitude lessened Enjolras's suspicions, and he lowered the dagger, though he didn't sheath it. "It seems to be a reoccurring issue," He commented dryly. At Smokey's next question his gaze flickered to the shelter behind him. "No, unfortunately. It's only a few of us." "Well good, because we don't need all of you tromping around out here." Smokey snorted, tapping one back hoof against ground. "We get enough trouble from the satyrs." He looked over the man into the camp again. "Sooo how long are you planning to stay anyhow?"

(Yeah, Dipper can be his apprentice if you want!)
Nico glanced up at the voice, wincing at the thought of conversation. "Minding my own business," he replied calmly, straightening up. "You don't see many cloaks around?" He asked, eyebrows raised in amusement. He figured the girl wasn't all that younger than he was, but she certainly seemed suspicious of him. "What are you doing away from the company of normal people?" He added, drawing himself up to his full, impressive height of 5'3". Upon appraising the girl, he decided conversation with her wouldn't be too unbearable.

Pulling out a pot full of bright red beans that had been soaking in water overnight, Naegi transferred them to a sieve, then back into the pot which he filled with water again. The metal clanged as he set it aside to light the fire in the stove, his drowsiness only increasing at the warm, comfortable heat that came off in waves...
Shaking his head, Naegi slapped his cheeks to wake himself up, tilting his head back as he sighed. "Boil, knead, bread..." He quietly murmured, reminding himself of the daily tasks he had to work at over and over and over, creating a repetitive, yet peaceful schedule. Carefully covering and placing the pot over the heat, he went to kneading some dough, letting out a long, drawn out yawn as he did so. Once he finished, he rolled it up into a nice, large ball, placing it in the oven to cook for a little while.
With everything on his to-do list done, he entered the front of his store, grabbing a stale piece of rye bread off a shelf. Naegi bit into it as he approached the counter, resting his face against his hand, sleep tugging at his eyelids. Strangely, his shoulder began to ache for no particular reason...
...Hopefully, today was a slow day.
The telltale ring of a bell jolted Naegi out of his sleepy daze, looking up to see a costume. "Oh, um, welcome," he timidly greeted her, placing his stale bread on the counter. "I have a lot of foreign desserts. I suggest the..." What was it called again? The haze in his mind was making it difficult to think. "Stabby-- no, I mean sweet paste-- no, that's not it, either...!" Slapping his forehead with his palm, the words he wanted to say finally came to mind. "...Anpan. It's a roll filled with sweet bean paste." Sighing, he rested his cheek against his face again. "...Sorry. I didn't sleep so well last night." With that, he let out a sheepish laugh.

"Hey!" Eleanor appeared in Calypso's mirror, standing behind her and grinning. Spooky. "What are you doing there Calypso?" the girl asked and tilted her head, almost like a puppy. She further encouraged this comparison when she started bouncing around the dancer. "Want to watch me juggle??" she asked excitedly, standing upright with her shoulders back and her orange-filled hands in the air as though she had already joyously agreed to watch the juggling. Eleanor was supposed to be outside, but that didn't matter. It was boring and dreary out there.

"No reason. I just feel like it," Kyoko commented vaguely, her eyes inspecting Nico's outfit. Maybe he had food hidden in some kind of pocket; however, she doubted it. "Anyways, why are you worried about it? It's not like it's a crime or anything...plus, you're doing the same thing!" She added impulsively with an impish grin.

"You better not or I'll be the one to hear about it," Peridot grumbled. She already had enough to do as it was without the princesses demands. She was surprised she hadn't been sought out already for another ridiculous task. ...hm, maybe her parchment getting knocked down wasn't such a bad thing after all. If she could use needing to sort them as an excuse perhaps she'd be spared the inconveniences.
Peridot cleared her throat and straightened up. "I imagine they will emerge shortly," she said, "it is usually at this time that they awaken. Princess Riliane should be, at the very least."
Madoka walked across the town square, towards Naegi's bakery, head down in thought. She hadn't been able to stop thinking about her latest dream since she woke up. Typically the nightmarish visions were sketchy by morning, but this last one was still plaguing her mind. She knew Homura had been in the dream, although she looked very different, but the strangest thing was the mass of strangers and the feelings she held for them. People she could not remember ever meeting. It was troubling, she thought, to be so worked up over a dream. Madoka shook her head to try and clear her thoughts. If she let this continue she wouldn't be able to work. "Ah--" Finally focusing back on her surroundings, Madoka spotted a familiar boy and lifted her arm to give a wave. "Good morning, Crutchie!" she called to him.

Nico scoffed and crossed his arms. "I live here," he replied with a quirk of his eyebrow. "But it's dangerous for people like you. Though you look like you could handle yourself," he added with a ghost of a smile. "What are you out here for? You must be looking for something," he inferred, genuinely curious. He found himself wanting to help. Or not. Whatever struck him when he had to make a decision.
"Mornin' Madoka!" Crutchie called to the girl, limping over towards her. "'Ow are you? Not much 'appening, really, is there," he commented, looking around. "Where ya headed?" Of course he had a fairly accurate guess, but it wouldn't hurt to make conversation. Plus, Madoka was nice to him. Conversations with her were nice, really. Of course he tried to make friendly conversation with everyone, but sometimes that worked out better with certain people. He knew almost everyone from delivering news and messages from door to door, but that didn't mean he was friends with everyone.

"Ah! Eleno...!" Calypso squawked when the Jester popped up behind her, causing to fall off the couch in surprise. Letting out a sigh from the floor, "I was trying to clean myself up." Although her tone seemed unamused, the giggle that came from her after told otherwise. When the other girl began juggling, the dancer picked herself up and brushed herself off. "Aren't you supposed to be outside?" She questioned, finishing up with what she had started before the interruption.

"You live around here? I don't see your house..." Kyoko observed, raising her eyebrows. Was he some kind of traveler from a neighboring kingdom? Hearing Nico's comment, she pretended to gasp dramatically, putting a hand on her chest as if offended. "Oh, please! I can handle myself in any situation, pal!" She reassured pridefully, yet her voice faltered slightly by the next question. Knowing that she couldn't reveal her true identity, she slowly answered, "You know...looking for some berries to eat. Maybe even an apple tree if I'm lucky..."

"Wouldn't dream of it." Daniel reassured the assistant with a smile. He had gotten his fair share of demands from the princesses. That being said though, he really needed to know if he was acting as escort today or if he would be able to train some of the pages. "You majesties?" He rapped lightly, respectfully, on the door with the back of his hand. "Is everything alright?" Security was a concern as well, there had been rumors of an uprising somewhere to the north.

"I've heard that before." Smokey rolled his eyes, then hefted his spear onto his shoulder as if he were about to leave. "As long as your hunters make absolutely sure what they are aiming at is a deer and not a straying foal, everything should remain peaceful." He paused as one of the sleeping men somewhere nearby snore-choked in his sleep and rolled over. "Also, maybe place some Nightshade leaves around your camp. It will keep the sprites from cutting your manes for nests."

Eleanor lowered the citrus, her excited attitude disappearing and quickly replaced by a groan of unamusement. "I suppose I am, but I'm not hurting anyone being in here am I?" she asked rhetorically. She definitely noticed Calypso falling on the floor, but made no acknowledgement of it. She never thought these things rude, she just assumed her sympathy to the person inconvenienced was a given. Anyway, talking about the way someone fell off a couch might embarrass them, and it was a waste of time to both parties to fuss over it. She began to line the oranges up on the taboret beside Calypso's couch. "What are you cleaning yourself up for, huh?" she asked curiously. Changing the subject basically meant 'I'm not going to talk about how I'm avoiding my job'.

"It is quiet today," she agreed. "Oh, I'm on my way to the bakery! I want to make sure I help Naegi as much as I can before I'm needed at the castle."

"Not everyone has a house," Nico retorted, frowning. He didn't like how this girl assumed things, though he supposed it was only natural. Still, the reminder that he didn't really live anywhere was like salt in the wound. He hummed in mild disbelief, reaching into his cloak to grab something from the satchel at his side. "If you're so hungry take this," he offered, tossing Kyoko a pomegranate. Don't ask where he got it. He probably didn't even know himself.
"Did you get much sleep last night?" Crutchie questioned, looking towards Madoka with concern. He didn't like the idea of people being tired, though it was fairly early in the morning. He'd woken up with the sunrise. "I'm doing well, thanks," he replied, flashing a smile. "Not much ta do today," he added, shaking his head only slightly. "Oh!" Crutchie exclaimed, nodding. "I'm sure Naegi 'ppreciates it a lot. You spend quite a bit of time at the bakery, dont you?"

Calypso watched Eleanor begin to place her fruit on the table. "Well, I'm scheduled for a performance later and figured no one would want to see me look like a hungry wolf." She stated, placing the mirror back into her trunk. "I just hope that it's only the nobles there." The dancer hummed, deciding to borrow one of the oranges and began to peel off the skin with her sharp fingernails, half-heartedly tossing a gold coin at Eleanor whie she was at it. "I don't know how the princesses will react to a less then great perform..."

"I don't mind if you look like a hungry wolf!" Eleanor joked, throwing her head back and laughing. She grabbed one of the oranges herself and started following Calypso's lead, peeling it for herself. "They'll have to deal with it. I know you'll do fine anyway," she said, making a weak attempt but an attempt nonetheless at being motivational. "What's wrong, have you not been getting enough sleep?" she asked all of a sudden, for once listening intently for a response.
