Since Crowfeather's trial (which I haven't read) it feels like Breeze has been replaced by an impostor (but it's a nice impostor) Who do you think it is and why and what happened to the real breeze XD

I really like the theory that fatherhood allowed Breezepelt to become the cycle breaker and mellow out. Sure he seemed a bit OOC before but his interaction with Sunbeam shows he has changed for the better. I doubt he'd have the perspective to joke about his past trauma if he hasn't processed at least some of it.

Nah, I think he just developed as a person. His demons are all stashed away. He and his father have made good. His mother is no longer stuck in an awful marriage. He got with the love of his life, who is also a good person and influence. He stopped being a **** and his Clanmates started respecting him. He's suffered some losses; his grandmother died in a war he helped kickstart, and his daughter died in Ashfur's uprising. Hell, his father was a Light in the Mist; he very nearly lost him for good in that same uprising, too, and he knew it.
I just think that Breezepelt has seen and experienced too much in his life to be the same little jerk we first met, or into the mentally broken asshole he developed into. He was offered redemption, took it, grew some, lost some, and grew some more. I like where he's at now. He'll point out if he thinks he smells some bullshit and he's not exactly immune to bouts of harshness, I'd imagine, but he'll try to be fair if he can understand where the other person is coming from or he can relate and I think he values family a great deal.

Looks like I got guts too, because all of what nowarriornameshere said is true and extremely well put, Breezepelt’s doing much better for himself and I think at this point people just refuse to accept that no matter how many times the writing and development shows that he absolutely has bettered himself. Which, be my guest, but I’m gonna enjoy Breezepelt now more than ever, I love how he’s become better

Tbh I really enjoyed Breezepelt's character ever since Crowfeather's Trial. It's just gotten better since then. It's probably the closest thing we've gotten to a well written redemption arc in Warriors. It's not perfect it does seem a little abrupt since we don't see the process of the change just the end, but we see enough to fill in the blanks.

Pretty much this 100%. I think the only reason it seems odd to some that he's the way he is now, is because he's one of the few characters that actually is shown being redeemed, and not regressing (Clear Sky) or just being killed off before a proper redemption (Rowanstar, Onestar, etc.)

It's rare that someone is the same person at age 40 that they were at age 15.

I believe no, because:1. bro isn't a leader or have nine lives & all that. 2. He probably just changed some of his traits & personalities. I believe he has just changed as a person/cat. Those are my thoughts, and if someone gives good evidence, I will change my mind

to be honest... I think he's getting better. He's not being a crowfood-eating mange-pelt anymore. And we'd probably know by now if there's an imposter.
we better get a breeze pelt novella or super edition
