Omen of the Stars was unique because it carried over two protagonists from the previous arc. I have been thinking back to this lately, because I believe this era of Warriors benefited from a two-arc story. The POT/OOTS era was full of memorable and beloved characters, which I attribute to the slower pace of the story. Every background character had their moments to shine and stand out amongst their peers. Nowadays the clans, especially ThunderClan, are full of blank-slate characters who get no attention from the writers at all. I can't help but wonder if the editing team chose to use the OOTS format again, they might devote more time to fleshing out the characters. Of course it could be argued that they could just improve the pacing of the books and find a better balance between plot and character development. The other reason I bring this up is because I think this format could have worked for the TBC/ASC era of the series. TBC and ASC spoilers below: I think that Rootspring and Shadowsight could have continued on as POV characters in ASC. Their story ended on a sad note with Bristlefrost's death, similarly to Hollyleaf's "death" in Sunrise. I feel like these two characters have much more to offer, and I would like to see them have happy endings eventually. They could have remained main characters in ASC, and Frostpaw could stay in Bristlefrost's place as the third character.
IMO, Nightheart and Sunbeam are good characters but they don't contribute much to the main plot. While Rootspring and Shadowsight might not either, having their POVs would be a good opportunity for them to find closure from the events of TBC. If this were the case I would have liked to see Rootspring managing his grief for Bristlefrost while also advocating for the code changes, and to have Shadowsight overcome his guilt and trauma from TBC. What are your thoughts on this idea? Do you think Warriors should attempt a two-arc narrative again, or just try and improve the standard six-book format? Also, what would you like to see in Rootspring and Shadowsight's futures?

I think not, personally. They didn't do a good job of it the first time so I don't see why they should do it again.

U mean, this arc is the only other one other than POT that starts with little stakes and builds more and more it goes, so I might see arc 9 be similar.
