I always see people on tiktok cracking up over the smallest things. They’ll be dying laughing from reading a tweet or something. Or when I see people laughing out loud at comedians or funny movies. That rarely happens to me. At the most I just exhale through my nose and that’s it. I feel like I can only laugh hard when something unexpectedly funny happens that wasn’t meant to be. I feel like this is weird though.

I used to laugh all the time at everything but now most of the stuff I see I've seen in some form before so I just kind of stare at it and scroll by or maybe just think "friend x would like this" so I save it to share. I wish I could laugh like I used to but nothing is that funny when its the same few jokes.
I think its why my sense of humor has gotten more bizarre and ironic and now when I send some unhinged meme I thought was funny everyone wonders what's wrong with me and "what the hell leap?" is a frequently asked question.

Probably multiple times a day. Mostly at myself. I am not a very serious person, and poking fun at myself when I slip up (run into a doorjamb, mispronounce words, etc) is just instinctual. And since I regularly channel "manic freshman college kid at 3am" energy that happens pretty often.
A lot of internet humor just doesn't hit for me, though. At this point my sense of what's funny has been deeply corrupted by 12 years on Tumblr.

I laugh quite a lot throughout the day. Whether it's because of a funny meme or video, or an inside joke I have with a family member, or even if I'm talking to a friend or my boyfriend

I never thought about this before, but that’s probably part of the problem for me too. Something can only be funny to me once. After that I’m just like, okay this is a little amusing but whatever. It definitely takes the fun out of a joke. I think that’s why unexpected things make me laugh.

I laugh every day, talkin with my friends just makes me chuckle or crack up. It may ve due to only hearing them in voice chat causing things to be more funny...

Most of my laughter is fake laughs but occasionally if I do a bit of trolling to my friends or wife, I end up giggling like a little kid

I try to laugh or at least smile once a day every day. I'm not a very serious person in general, crack jokes often, laugh with other people and get perceived to be pretty funny in general. Of course, there are days when genuinely laughing or smiling is not really possible for me and I'm instead in an almost constant state of depression that gets masked by fake laughs/smiles when in the company of other people. Although I try to avoid much interactions those days because I just don't want to bring anyone's mood down.
