Yeah, I have no idea what the deal with that was. I don't really see them giving her the axe so soon, though. I feel she plays an important part to the whole thing even if Splashtail is the primary focus now, and it wouldn't make sense to play her up as an antagonist just to toss that away. Sure, there are a number of antagonists now (including Curlfeather), but surely there's a good way to end her arc well. As long as they don't make her apologize to Tigerstar, I'm interested.

Maybe there’s something shocking that is going to happen to her at the end of Star, and the authors didn’t want the fandom expecting that so they avoided mentioning her. Like if there would be a big battle where Splashtail is killed/defeated she dies saving Sunbeam’s life or something.

I kind of hope that something she does ends up getting Fringewhisker killed. She sees how it affects Spireclaw and then goes out saving Nightheart. Maybe she becomes a border guardian with Juniperclaw.

Wasn’t there a bit hint back in Shadow or something that inferred Berryheart and Splashtail might be working together somehow?

I don't think her not getting any mention in the Star blurb is an implication/indication that she'll die in Wind. Of course she could, but...

Then again, sunbeam, Nightheart, and frostpaw aren’t mentioned either. I’m pretty sure that harelight and splashtail are the only characters in it mentioned by name.
