Not entirely sure where to put this, but I'll cut right to the chase. I'm interested in doing a silly, laid back clan roleplay with fantasy aspects and I'm wondering how far I should lean into things!
FountainClan seems like your typical gathering of cats, but what stands out in particular is their strange naming gimmick. Cats of this clan are named after drinks while still retaining that two-part structure.
Here are a few name examples: Mountaindew, Orangecrush, Almondmilk
Now, onto approaches for how I should include world-building aspects-
Semi-Realistic: Names can be unconventional, setting would probably be a forest, appearances can be unrealistic but nothing too out of the ordinary.
Full Fantasy: Unconventional naming, fantasy setting, unrealistic character appearances (sparkle cats would be allowed here!) and even made-up prey such as gummy worms (yes, cats will be able to eat candy!)
Please select one of each option for the poll! Either yes or not for me vs. Semi-Realistic or Full Fantasy! Making rules and lore for the clan will take a while, but I want to see if this idea takes off before I do anything. Please send me any feedback if you can; I'd love to hear it!
