what do you think the point of frostpaw getting fixed was? It's a very unexpected thing at this point I don't imagine they decided to do it for no reason. Do you think it was to appease fans who are always commenting on cats going to the vet but not getting neutered (me being one of those fans)? Maybe just further incentive for her to not trust other cats?
I think it would be cool if Frostpaw is talking about her scar at one point and Twigbranch or nightcloud goes "oh I had the same thing after my stay with the twolegs" just for more acknowledgement that it happens and we just don't get to read all the details.

It’s kinda confusing because that meant Smoky should’ve gone to the cutter, but he has had three litters, and possibly more with Floss and OG Daisy.

WAIT WHAT I haven't read past River could someone tell me what happened? One of the twolegs at the Horseplace takes Frostpaw and helps her deal with her injuries, but at the same time she gets spayed.

My very cynical opinion on it is that Frostpaw had very clear dreams of having kits, ideally with Splashtail, and was enjoying being a warrior apprentice. But now she can't do that. It would fit with all the constant abuse and trauma she's going through this arc.

The meditating will hopefully end up helping in the long run.

i really like the idea of it somehow becoming a plot device in the future, but for now im neutral on it since nothing has really been done with it. it still rubs me the wrong way that smoky made a life altering choice for frostpaw without her consent, even after she had explicitly told him no.

I don't think Smoky knows. Beyond a little extra wound that doesn't seem to bother the she-cats who come back from the vet, he has no reason to suspect that the twolegs did something as drastic as removing their reproductive capabilities. He probably just thinks it's a weird side effect of twoleg medical care. He has no way of knowing otherwise.

Smoky didn't know. He wanted her wounds to be treated by the Twolegs because he's right - sewing the deep gashes would arguably heal it faster, cleaner, and safely than Whistlepaw's herbs. How could he know that they would've spayed her as well?

I hope it maybe means that she might adopt a kit or a whole litter later on. Frostpaw wanted to be a mother someday, and while she can no longer be one biologically due to getting spayed, she can still be an adoptive parent to one (or more).
I'm just glad the SplashFrost ship has now sunk completely as of Thunder. Was worried they would continue her infatuation with him or even let them have kits. Phew. I've made a thread in the past about my disbelief at the fact that GrayMillie was able to have a litter of kits despite both going to the vet (and Millie even multiple times to get her shots). Still can't believe neither of them ever got spayed. But especially with Graystripe, usually it's top priority to get feral gets spayed if they are caught, especially adult ones, I'm pretty sure. Then again, this is Warriors, where realism is often not that big of a deal in favor of plot reasons and that's okay most of the time.

I had a feeling she got neutered but I have no idea how that process works and I didn't know that a small wound on her flank would hint to that. Cool to know that happened though... if this never comes up again, I will be mad. I had a concept of a medicine cat who had baby fever, but a spayed cat with baby fever sounds a lot better. I hope they do something with this.

Not particularly happy about it. It’s nice that it’s getting addressed, but it seems like it’s coming out of nowhere. And it just replaces controversial takes with the whole thing with another (the idea that animals will somehow miss having the ability to have babies or they won’t live a full life somehow if they can’t). It would be interesting if someone else talked about it, like how they were healthier despite what happened (just like cats would be in real life). But right now I just seems like something to lump even more angst onto her, which really rubs me the wrong way. It could’ve been something really interesting, but it just was handled poorly.
