So, over a year ago, when the spoiler thread for Onestar's Confession got put on here, I decided to not buy and read the hardcover edition back then due to me disliking how certain things in that book got handled (and not wanting to pay more for a book I didn't particularly had looked forward towards anyways). But since the paperback came out only a day after the official release of Riverstar's Home (which I will also not buy as a hardcover), I finally bought OC and it arrived in the mail today. Also because I do want to collect/have all of the SEs and that includes the ones I'm not a fan of as well. I will not update this thread chapter by chapter but instead will either read a few chapters, write down what I liked and disliked and then move on, or just read the whole book and then write my review like I did on my TBC thread back in January of this year. Will also include a picture of the book soon (since I usually do that). Front cover: Back cover: I'll start reading it this evening (do not have time before that) and might already give a few of my thoughts on it tomorrow depending how far I'm along (will hopefully be halfway through by then).

Enjoy! I liked it a lot more than I thought I would actually. The spoilers made it seem kind of lackluster, but I enjoyed it when I read it for myself.

I really enjoyed Onestar's Confession as well as Riverstar's Home. Both were much better than the spoilers made out.

Out of the recent super editions to come out, I think this one was the best of them. Not that much copying scenes we’ve already seen in other books, we learn more about Darktail and his mother, Onestar’s family is developed, and the build up of Onestar’s worsening mental state was fun to read.

I really liked Onestar’s Confession. I’ve always enjoyed reading about his character as one of, in my opinion, better morally grey characters we’ve had. With so many stories of rising to greatness, Onestar’s was more the opposite of falling from grace without becoming a cliche villain, and it was fun to read about, at least for me.

Update: I was just getting ready to create a thread about me reading Onestar's Confession when I thankfully checked my threads and remembered that I already did so with this one in September. Whoops lol.
Actually didn't get around to reading it then yet due to my reading spot (my couch) being a mess and me procrastinating on tidying it up until this past weekend and finishing up with that only yesterday evening. But yeah, I'm finally able to read it now and will hopefully have a review up this weekend. And also might give a few of my thoughts already before that...
