Kayla grabbed the gun and quickly exiting the room, shutting the door behind her at almost a slam. She never wanted to go back in that room... It was hard enough keeping tears from her eyes right now, but she managed and grabbed a few other things, shoving them in her backpack, before she left once again. Tjis time, she headed for the school at a brisk walk, making sure to keep on extra high alert now.

It took Shane a minute to understand, but it finally clicked in his mind. Okay, so no parents... Where did you come from?" he asked next, hoping the girl could answer that as well. He stayed sitting when she stood, but he was ready to get up and give chase if she bolted. No way was he leaving a young girl out here alone and scared, so long as there was a chance she was actually alive and not a wandering spirit. She did look like one, though... No probs, Elle ^^) Ghost tilted her head to the side and looked at him. The speck blinked twice for for no and after a moment it did it repeatedly, blinking the two for no over and over though her face was emotionless. The speck slowly faded and she leaned against the tree as exhaustion caught up to her. She slid down and her eyes closed as she just wanted to sleep.

"You don't know...?" That was all Shane could speculate from that. He bit his lower lip with a frown. "Well, you look tired anyway, and it's way too dangerous to sleep out in the forest." If you're even real. "How about I take you back to my house? I have a little sister who isn't too much older than you there. You'll be safe, and I can get you some food. You're hungry, right?" If you actually eat...

Ruby quietly crept in. They were still asleep in the couch. She tip toed into their bedroom and began tentatively searching for the key to the locked gun case in the basement. After what felt like hours but was really fifteen minutes she found the key. She hurried down the Balaam enrolled steps and came to a halt before the gun case. She unlocked it and grabbed the pistol, a magazine and some bullets. She ran back outside as quietly as possible then ran to school .

The journey to the school was uneventful, thankfully. Other a few squirrels rustling leaves in the trees, the way was quiet and safe. She breathed a small sigh of relief when the school was in sight, but she knew she wasn't safe until inside - maybe not even then from that monster. At the entrance, she waited rather nervously for her new friend to arrive, gun in hand.

Ruby breathlessly ran up to her. "Got...the...gun." She wheezed. She opened up her bag and showed her the contents of the bag. "Enough...?'

At first, Kayla stiffened, thinking the sound of hurried footsteps could be that thing, but she soon realized it to be Ruby. Taking a deep breath and a moment to clam down, she peered into the bag. "That should be okay, hopefully," she answered with a slight nod. "ready to break into school?" she asked with a slight smirk creeping onto her face; it was only able to since she was not alone anymore.

If you actually eat...I think this is what I need to respond to) Ghostling looked at the person with fear in her blue eyes but she nodded once. She had her eyes open half way and they were fixated on the person. She wondered if they were looking for her. It would be dangerous to get this person involved in her issues but she had no choice. She needed food and a place to sleep and rest. Ghostling could tell that this person seemed to not really know what to make of her but she didn't feel like speaking to tell him she was human. Instead she simply sat there watching him.

"Suuuuure." Ruby's voice was quite unsure. "Which way do you go in?'' Suddenly she was so nervous about getting caught she didn't even remember why they were going in. She couldn't fathom why she was going along with this. If her parents found out...she was in serious trouble. Or maybe they wouldn't care. Who knew with them. Depending on the amount left in the bottle they could even congratulate her for all she knew.

Shane gave the girl a small smile and reached out his hand slowly. "Let's go then." If he could take her hand, he'd no for sure she was at least solid. It was all just so weird... If she did happen to be realm what was she, and why was she out here all alone? She looked human enough, but humans didn't have those kinds of abilities, making light orbs and turning invisible. He didn't know of any that did, at least. What was going on in this town?
"This way," Kayla said and motioned with her hand for Ruby to follow. The girl walked to the side of the building where one of the math teachers had a classroom. "This window is always loose and easy to open." With those words and not a moment's hesitation, she pulled a piece of wood from under one of the bushes; it was a small plank only about an inch wide, centimeter thick, and foot long. More or less, it was about the size of a ruler. Sticking the wood through a small crack under the window, she pushed down and the window lifted open. "See? Easy," Kayla said with a satisfied smile and opened the window fully then placed the wood back where it's hiding place rested, until its next use.

Kayla thought for a moment, her gaze drifting away to the side and the sky. "I don't know. I do it so often, I never really counted," she answered then shrugged. Turning to the now open window, she climbed inside and took a quick look around. "We're clear. Sometimes one of the teachers stays here really late for whatever. We just need to be quiet."

Ruby nodded and tried to swallow her fear and guilt. "Is there anything I should know before we go in?''

"Just be quiet and listen carefully for anyone else," Kayla told her and held out a hand to help the girl into the window. She figured Ruby might need help climbing through this window, since it was a good ways above the ground. I little jump maybe be needed and help wouldn't hurt either.

Ruby have her a gracious smile but charged through the window without help. She was determined to be a tough go getter this time around.

Kayla gave her a smirk and put her hand down. "Not scared anymore, huh?" she asked with a slight teasing tone. She then bent down and took off her shoes and picked them up. "It's a lot quieter if you take your shoes off." She hated the sound of shoes squeaking on these tile floors anyway.

Ruby reached down and untied her hiking boots. She pulled them off and put them in her bag. She straightened up and shook her head. "Nope."
